We enjoyed the day with family and kids, it was nice to see especially the kids having such as great time in what is the park of one of their favorite games. I also believe in Lego as being a tool that can help develop some good mental faculties. The prices there are reasonable, though they could do better and make it a little cheaper so that more people would go. The place is well set, very good facilities all around, many rides and themes for the kids. Good place to take your kids in my... (read more)

If you are going then check the height of your kids. If their under 0.9mtrs then they can't go on anything, between 0.9 and 1.3 then they have to ride with an adult, even though the rides are small and far from fast. Watch out for the metal height measuring tool too, hit my two year twice with it. I had no issues at all in euro Disney but here it's safety gone mad and to the extreme. (read more)

As all the other reviews state this place is now tired and dated and way overpriced, apart from a couple of rides its very dull , and the food!! How can the food be so bad and so expensive after paying 40 odd pounds for entry £6.50 for a funking Panini ? And a Panini made with the lowest grade Tuna and Cheese . No heated areas anywhere to eat , seriously spend the money on Lego and stay home . Never again will i be suckered by LegobLand. (read more)

My son had been begging me for years to go to Legoland. We finally saved up enough money to go as we live 300 miles away. Well what can I say! It was very expensive to get in. We queued for over an hour for rides and only got to go on two the whole day because we'd had enough of queuing. The food park was expensive, dirty and poorly run. I waited 35 minutes to be served box of doughnuts by which time my coffee went cold. We bought hotdogs from a stand where two girls in there didn't... (read more)

Strange that I haven't been to Legoland sooner given that it is practically on my doorstep, but I guess that is often the way with things that are on your doorstep (also the kids have been there with various clubs so it was never a priority). Anyway I went last week as a little treat before the kids were due back at school and I was blown away. The place is fantastic! Yes, there are the usual honorific queues, but then I expected that the week before the schools go back. There is also... (read more)

Absultly loved LegoLand and the submarine was amazing. Hotel was great just one thing spoilt it for me. I've got cancer got to be care. So played it safe had a kids choice from the buffet meals. And there was big bones in the food. Wasn't very nice. So put me and my partner off. And that cost £40!! Which is ridiculous. I told a member of the restrurant, when he ask food ok. Worst day in my life thanks to the Legoland staff. They told me to leave car in Windsor and come back on foot. We did that despite having a small baby (1,5 years) onboard. We came back after the long walk and we were told that unfortunately we couldn't go in because the rules changed. We spent 40 minutes waiting because we also needed to pick up our premium merlin's annual passes, after that we we nt back to the car (nearly 50 minutes walk), drove back to Legoland to check if they already... Having spent 3 nights in the Legoland Hotel in mid August 2012 with 2 grandchildren we found that the rooms were excellent and the night entertainmant for the kids was great. However the organisation at Legoland was a shamlbles. We were there yesterday and for my 5 year old son this was a much longed for visit. We only went for the day but I tell you, after reading 100+ reviews (85% negative) and planning the day with military precision it went off almost perfectly! Very expensive for what is a small theme park with lengthy queues. Paultons is cheaper, better rides, very small queues. It is also somewhere dads will enjoy going. Legoland isn't for young children, and is boring for older kids. £2 for parking after £45 entry is disgusting too. (read more)

Tired, dated and poor value for money. The rides are old and dated. Queues are usually 45-60 minutes long on a school holiday and you will probably do 5 or 6 rides in a day. I've been to Pepper Pig World (new forest), Thomas the Tank land (drayton) etc, but Legoland is by far and away the best theme park for children in the UK. There are lots rides for all ages of children and the quality and first of every thing is first class. We tend to go before the school holidays (the week before) and therefore rarely have any problems with queues. The food inside is pricy, but that is always the case with captive audiences. My family and I visited Lego land today, personally I found it disappointing & seriously over-priced even though we used our Tesco vouchers on entry. The outdoor Lego Models need sprucing up, all very tired and dull looking. The newer pieces looked much more eye catching. Many of them had broken, toppled over. It appears attention to detail is being missed without a doubt. Even on entry everything including the sign looked tired/dirty and neglected. Designing and spending money on... (read more)

Great for young children, even if it is a bit tiring pushing the pram around the park. Not good in the wet though. Unforunately yesterday it was extremely wet. Not only is there a lack of indoor rides - ok, not much they can do about this - but actually there is a lack of "covered" areas for those of us braving the elements and wanting our picnic lunch or simply a hot cup of tea without having to be soaked in the process. Also, restaurants need to be left open longer. Rides shut at 6pm... (read more)

I found the whole thing horribly commercial. The fact that you can pay more money and jump the queues is entirely offensive. There are three different payment levels for pushing in, from 15 quid to 70 quid. I went on a quiet day and it didn't really make much difference but I can imagine you would end up hating people who just strolled up and got on a ride that you had been waiting for 30 minutes for. Legoland Windsor - This park has the potential to be a great day out, especially for younger kiddies as the rides aren't too extreme and the lego models are ace. Unfortunately, as with a lot of theme parks in our country, you pay an absolute fortune to get in only to queue for an hour for each ride, which do not last more than about 3 minutes. We have been thinking about going to Legoland for quite a while now and we finally decided on a Legoland family day. Did this person go with children? I would be the first to say that none of the rides are white knuckle terrifying, BUT - its LEGOland - aimed at kids. Its absolutely perfect for all ages. All of the rides are suitable for small children (not babies - but they dont do lego anyway) and nearly all of the rides are thrilling enough for adults too. And we thought miniland was fantastic, the royal wedding at Buckingham Palace and the changing of the Guard, and a bonus - there was Dr Who and the Tardis - my grandchildren had the best day of their lives.

Tired, faded, Chav food, expensive, queuetastic, boring. The whole place looks like it's had a £500 lego makeover - you could be at your local fairground.
Realistic value would be @ £10 per person entry. Kids had more fun at a steam museum.

Again, a review to add some balance to this list which seems to seriously polarise opinion.
Firstly, yes, Legoland isn't cheap - however, please show me a modern theme park that is... that's right - you can't. We opted for annual premium passes as we don't live that far from the park and, as it's the equivalent of 2 and a half visits at full ticket price, it makes sense for us. How patronising. A balanced review does not assume that everyone who found the queues too long is a smoking tattooed chav, plenty of people find the ticket cost as much as they can afford without doubling the cost by paying for four Q-Bots. Theme parks aren't cheap, but Legoland is much more expensive than any of the others in the UK.

Er - smokers treated like lepers???!
You're allowed to smoke in Legoland - you just can't inflict your drug addiction on those of us that don't want to breathe in poison. That's why there is a designated area, where you smokers can all go to inhale the 4000 carcinogenic chemicals contained in a cigarette.
There are over 4,000 chemicals in cigarettes. 51 of them are known to be carcinogenic. A carcinogen is something that causes cancer. Cancer is a disease that often kills those who have it. There are many types of cancer: breast, lung, larynx, stomach, prostrate, kidney, leukemia (cancer of the blood), etc. In all kinds of cancer, the cells keep dividing and forming new, abnormal cells. These cells are not normal or healthy.
Our bodies are made up of thousands of cells. In a healthy person, new cells are made only when the body needs them. In a person with cancer, the abnormal cells destroy the normal cells, invading them like an army. If cells divide when new cells are not needed, a growth or hard mass forms. It could be small like a pea or large like a grapefruit. A cancerous growth is called a malignant tumor.
Cancer usually kills a person when it spreads to other parts of the body. Sometimes cancer cells break away from a malignant tumor and find their way into the bloodstream. They travel to another part of the body or organ like a kidney or lung. There they start multiplying and dividing and form new cancerous tumors. For example, if a woman who has a malignant tumor in her breast does not have it removed while it is small, part of the tumor might break away and go into her bloodstream. From there it may travel to her brain and give her brain cancer.
Chemicals in cigarettes and cigarette smoke are known to cause not only cancer but also other serious health problems. Many of the chemicals are poisonous. If a person ate one pack of cigarettes, he/she would die.
Legoland is a theme park, for CHILDREN - they shouldn't have to risk their health because a drug addict, hooked on nicotine cannot resist lighting up.
