Good Points: Everything
Bad Points: Nothing
General comments: The Championship Manager PC game is class! Maybe not as good as the previous in the series, but come on, it's still class with the second patch installed. Footy manager is total rubbish.

elling the truth I suggest you stick with Champ Manager 4 rather than Champ Manager 5, it was far far much better, trust me far much better. Looking at Champ Manager 5, the tilted 2d view makes it worse than ever it is no more exciting, also now the 2d pitch is smaller than ever since they have put a menu next to it, of which if there are player names then the pitch is full of player names and now you cant see the ball. One really bad thing is that the goals are really bad, open chances are guar ...

Championship Manager 5 is the worst game ever - don't buy it. Championship Manager is the worst ever game I have ever bought because at least the others I have actually work. The gameplay is slow, the 2d pitch options are shoddy and to be honest this game is pure crap I wouldn't even wipe my rear with this game its a waste of a disc.

Championship Manager 5 is a complete con!! How they are allowed to sell a game that doesn't even work is beyond me. They have sold a game purely on reputation and have failed to produce anything near to what was promised. 2nd patch has been released on their website today and still the game is full of bugs! If you want a decent manager game stick to FM 2005. This is still not perfect but 10 times better then this rubbish! If you have got a slow Internet connection then you are knackered as the p ...

The Championship Manager 5 match engine is ridiculous, players run away from the ball, the game is just terrible. I played it for an hour before deciding that it was awful. Anyone wanna buy my copy?

Bad news folks, Championship Manager 5 is a big disappointment and those expecting the game to match past glories will feel badly let down. This game is like a cheap imitation of its previously legendary predecessors and anyone expecting a tactical battle of wits should steer well clear.
This game has bugs throughout, it seems the Eidos programmers have been on the booze while making this game, in fact, its quite amazing that this game even made it to the shop shelves. It seems that Champ Ma ...

The fundamental problem with Championship Manager 5 is that it doesn't work.
Player information is missing.
Contract information changes at will.
It takes forever to process between days.
Text response is bad or incomplete.
The database is too small - some players do not exist.
Game action is boring and predictable.
The "Press Speculation" is at best banal.
Poor excuse of a game it is supposed to represent.
Six months late and still doesn't work even with their first patch.
Seem to hav ...
