Good Points: Amazing handling. Beautiful looking. Comfortable & spacious. Fast. Cheap to run & insure. Reliable.

Bad Points: Not as quick as i would expect but the overall driving experience is great.

General comments: I got my Impreza Sport Special last October and i still get out of it with a grin from ear to ear! It is a truly beautiful looking car and lovely to drive. Mine is Black with gold wheels. I personally prefer the older models to the newer 'bug-eyed' versions. I went for this car as the insurance was just too high for the Turbo. I usually get bored with cars quickly but i honestly can't see the novelty wearing off with this one. It is quick, especially at high speeds. The grip is amazing so even though it's not the fastest at taking off you will leave all others standing at lights! The handling makes this car fun yet very safe feeling to drive. I have to add that is also sounds awesome! Easily the best car i've had.

I wanted turbo version but insurance was a problem. Got my sport and love it. They are quick as they the same boxer block. Great torque and comfort. A minor service at my local subaru dearler cost me just £120 for oil and filter change, side light bulb and power steering belt can't moan. mines done 90k but drives like 9k. I seriously recommend this car.

In 23 years of driving, and over 20 cars, I can say this is one of the few motors I have kept for 2 years... the last one was a Toyota Celica VVTLI 190...I'm actually reviewing my 2006 R-Sport Imprezza wagon with the later 160Bhp engine... This car is without doubt the most well kept secret, and subaru totally shot themselves in the foot for not launching this engine sooner, and selling the car for longer. They are now quite sought after. I haven't had to put a finger on it - never missed a beat ...

I have owned the Subaru Impreza Sport for a while now and after having 28 cars in 5 years, trying to find one that fits all the bills, I have found it, I've had 220 turbo's civic vtecs and even a WRX and uk turbo among others, but the sport is a brilliant all round performer, the insurance is cheapish and the fuel economy is brilliant depending on how driven, mine is a full turbo replica and I didnt pay much for it, it handles brilliantly and obvoiusly isnt laggy like the turbo equivalents, its ...

Had the Subaru Impreza Sport 2000cc Sports Car for 2 years now, no problems with it at all. Dont drive it unless you intend to buy it!
Once you have you will probably be dissapointed with any other car.
This car has a massive following and there is good reason, sticks to the road like its glued to it . Watch the other cars breaking to go round bends, then realise that you dont have to.
    Its wierd. Love it.

The Subaru Impreza Sport 2000cc looks almost identical to the turbo apart from the bonnet. 2.0I engine produces 115BHP so not stunning performance, however adequate. Great handling, especially with permanent all wheel drive. Good driving position, simple but effective controls. Good looking car thats built to last. Only downside so far £600 for the clutch (£900 if the flywheel needs doing) ..if your buying one with highish mileage check to see if its done.
