I have used this company for the last few years and am really impressed with them, not long after booking my holiday i got e-mail confirmation with the hotel voucher and transfer vouchers,when i phoned them to explain that i hadn't got a printer to print them off i was told that it wasn't a problem, they'd send them out in the post to me which they did do.

“holiday in rhodes ”

i have returned from holiday in corfu on 12th june we booked the whole deal with imperial travel it was a great price flew from glasgow airport and transfer was waiting at rhodea and on coming home transfer to rhodes airport was a lovely coach aircon spotless clean and had no problem with also hotel was great this travel company and would definite book with them again

“cant complain at all”

we booked our hol through ice-lolly and they used imperial travel i read da reviews online and really started to panic, it took a week or so for them to e-mail da holiday info which made me worry more but every time we rang them they were lovely.we got the info and everyting went really we could fault them at all..i hope this buts uer minds at ease.

Excellent service from Duncan, very pleasant and very helpful resulting in a great holiday, everything went smoothly from start to finish and would definitely use them again. They always returned phone calls and did everything they said they would in a timely manner. I was a bit concerned having read some poor reviews but feel that often people only have something to say when its negative so credit where credits due, I can't fault them!

“Worried for no reason!”

I had booked with this company for a fortnights holiday in Lanzarote before I read all the reviews! I found Luke and Jim both very helpful and efficient on both of my calls. I had reason to alter some of the booking and it was handled with speed and knowledge. All the paperwork was received within a day and the altered booking was completed and documentation received within an hour. So glad I did not read the comments before hand now.Will let you all know how my holiday works out,but upto now I have no doubts all is well.

I used them and everything was fine, only problem maybe you can never get through on the phone. ALWAYS say all our lines are busy we will ring you back,BUT THEY DO.

I've used Imperial Travel to go to Turkey for the last two years and they have been great. They always call me back if they can't help me straight away and the advisors I have dealt with have been really helpful. My last booking agent called Louise couldn't do enough for me and really helped me booked the perfect first holiday for my 11 month old. will definately use them again.

“No problems at all!”

Booked a holiday via teletext and needed to get hold of them afterwards and did not have a phone no. Looked on internet and saw the reviews - panic sets in. I had emailed the company to chase the hotel voucher as only flight and transfer one had been forwarded but not heard back. On telephoning I was advised that someone would ring me back, I asked to hold but could not and told that someone would ring back within the hour. Someone did ring back within the hour and then emailed me immediately with the voucher as promised. Had no problems and would use company again, they had even reserved our six seats together on the plane without us asking.

“Mavruka hotel, olideniz, turkey July 2011- a great...”

We booked with imperial travel to go to olideniz in turkey 1st -8th July 2011. When I was still waiting for paperwork to come through 2 weeks prior to departure I called them. Having read the reviews of the company I got concerned. I called them several times and I have to say they always returned my calls on the same day, but I had to be persistent with chasing them. I delt with a very helpful lady called Mary (and another called Jo) who sorted all the missing paperwork out. I haven't used agents much as usually tailor made previous holidays independently. Even at the airport I was still dubious about how it would work out. I have to say that the travel arrangements were really smooth and having arrived on a night flight with 3 tired kids I was delighted to find the very welcoming driver of the transfer coach( a2b transfers). We hopped on and an hour later were safely delivered to our hotel. The Mavruka hotel was really nice and our family room very clean and modern ( it was up 2 flights of stairs though but we didn't mind as our youngest would hop out of the buggy so we could carry pram up). The return transfer and flight was just as smooth and my husband and I were impressed with the organisation . Onour air was a nice comfortable airline who I would have no problem using again, they were modern and clean planes( like a Turkish easyjet budget airline). A great holiday was had by all and I wanted to write this review as I was concerned by the previous reviews but really it was all fine! My only advice when using imperial would be to chase them for the receipts, e-ticket, transfer vouchers and accommodation vouchers. Leave lots of messages and they will get back to you but be patient with them as they are pretty busy I think.

“BRILLIANT TIME HAD BY ALL”

Booked a week all inclusive to Tenerife for my son and 7 friends.Was a bit worried about Imperial Travel due to bad reviews but need not have worried.Everything went very smoothly and the boys had a brilliant time.I think Imperial travel employees are overworked as they seem to work 24/7 which means it is sometimes difficult to get through to them and they may not get straight back to you.However,what they do works well.David Shaw dealt with my booking and he was very helpful and even booked an 8th boy on the trip getting him on the same flight etc at the last minute.Well done Imperial travel.Would defo use again!!

Wish I had the same sense of confidence in this company, they have misled us in the quote now asking for another £250 and every time we ring all we ever get is "We will take your number and get back to you" and they never do. They sent us a letter with no break-down of holiday price just asking for a balance with a not very nice tone to the letter, i.e. saying if we don't pay balance within the next 5 working days they will charge £10 a day to the balance. We wish to query the amount but no-one ever gets back to us. Losing all confience in this company, wished I had gone with a more well known Organisation. Don't book with them

i have just booked my first holiday to greece threw ice lolly. the customer service adviser from imperial travel was amazing.
He offered us a better holiday package which worked out cheaper for us.
they even waved the booking fee as it was my first holiday with my family

i booked my holiday yesturday with a gentleman called lee , i must say he WAS VERY polite went out of his way to ring me back probably about 6 times .. everytime i needed help he was there to help .. he discounted me aswell and then i asked him to find me earlier flights times home rather than late evening times and he did that as well ,, so i cant write a bad review ..

Imperial travel are extremely cheap - to coin a very over used phrase "you get what you pay for"
They get you the best priced you can find for a specific holiday - we tried 5 agents and imperial were by far the cheapest.
If you check your documents properly before you go then you should have no probs with transfers / hotles etc - which they provided us with vouchers for all of them.
The hotel we stayed in was lovely and no we didnt have a rep but genuinely what do you need a rep for in a good hotel??
We have just booked again with imperial and hope that this trip will be as succesful.

However had to speak to customer services about pre booking seats and got the classic will ring you back right but they did and answered my query fully and professionally. Recieved all paperwork when we should have including thomson flight tickets, got picked up at the airport when we should ,on return got picked up when we should.On the whole could not fauly holiday or company

After finding my holiday through Icelolly, I contacted the travel agent listed to book our trip. I was a little disappointed when the holiday price shot up from £354 to £449. The original price included an indirect flight and no baggage allowance or tax - so bear this in mind when you find a cheap holiday!! Nevertheless, after discussing with my partner, I called the operator back and booked our holiday. He said he would call me back withinh 30 mintes with the booking reference number. I hung up the phone and then started to panic a little as I had never heard of that before - normally they give you the booking refernce when you book...and I had just handed over my bank details and £900!!. Whilst I was waiting for him to call back, I reserached Imperial Travel and was immediately horrified by the bad reviews I came across. So exactly after 30 minutes, I called the operator back to chase my booking number and to express my concern. The operator explained that the number hadn't come through yet and he would call me back shortly. True to his word, he called me back with my flight booking reference (with Ryanair). He took my email address and emaled me my holiday voucher and explained that my receipt/paperwork would arrive within 7-10 days. I immediately checked my email and had received the holiday voucher. However, they had used a different company, youtravel, to book the hotel...so I was anxious again (especially as this company had equally as bad reviews!!). I then checked the Ryanair website and everything there was fine and as arranged. I waited a week and then contacted the hotel directly to ensure my booking was in place. They confirned it was. My paperwork arrived 8 days after booking. We arrived at the airport and went straight through check in (we had to print our own boarding passes before hand). We arranged our own taxi to the hotel as it was nearby. At the hotel, we checked in without a hitch. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and I needn't had worried. Everything was as booked and everything was as the operator said it would be (correspondence etc). I was extremely worried before we went, maybe unnecessarily - because of that I think I will be more cautious in future..and probably will use a more reputable company...but I must say that overall we had a good service with Imperial Travel - no problems at all.

We booked to go Egypt with Teletext and they used these guys. The man on the phone (sorry can't remember his name) was really helpful and did not do a hard sell act. He knew what he was talking about. The tickets arrived just they said and when I had a problem when away they sorted it out really quick and were lovely to talk to.
They were very professional and comforting.

We found from booking the holdiay and making the last payment to the tickets arriving all very easy and all customer services operators very polite and helpful. dont know what other people are talking about. I dont know why everyoneis complaining about this company. Ive just booked with imperial travel via icelolly.com and they wer amazing. The guy o the other end of the phone was so helpful and whenever we've rang them up have managed to get through straight away. I go away in september an boked to go to portugal in march and had all my documents thru within 2weeks of booking. Fair enough i hvent gt there yet so cant comment on hotel but if theres a problem with flights/hote being dirty that aint relly there fault thats the hotels or selling advertisinf faausely. So far iwoud efinately recommend this holiday provider.

“I have this week returned from 2 weeks in Hurghada,...”

I have this week returned from 2 weeks in Hurghada, Egypt. I booked through Imperial Travel which I found on teletext on line.

I booked at a good price, got 15 days (as apposed to the usual 14), and requested a family room which would involve 2 seperate bedrooms. What's more we were in a water/aqua park which should have also added to the price. Our party consisted of 2 adults, and 2 young children

Within minutes of booking, and paying I discovered this review site. My heart hit my heels due to the list of awful reviews. I had without thinking paid by debit, and not credit card which meant I was not able to persue compensation should I need to. I found myself woefully concerned about the money I had spent as I had paid in full for the holiday, and had more than one bad experience with holiday suppliers/agents in the past. I have always persued and won my point but the energy and time spent doing so were ridiculous.

The next few days, almost a week waiting for some sort of paperwork were miserable wondering what I had done, and what was about to befall me.

All I can say to other prospective buyers who may find themselves in my shoes is that I did not have a single problem. I got my paperwork through, all was in order and exactly as I had paid for.

I am not reviewing the holiday itself, although it was all as paid for , acceptable in standard, and in line with other reviews I had studied which related to the hotel in question. This review is with regard to the holiday agent in question, and due to the service I received can only be positive. I am more than pleased to be able to say I had none of the problems other reviewers claim to have had.

Can I suggest for future customers of any holiday company that to henance financial security your holiday is purchased via your credit card, as your card issuer has by law some financial responsibility towards any problems caused by the companies they deal with. Ask from your holiday supplier for details in advance about ATOL & ABTA membership. And note that some holiday insurers will at an additional small premium cover against your losing your accommodation and or flight due to liquidation. Be aware though that some of these cover loss of flight only which is I understand already protected by ATOL.
