Shooting at a target 40ft away using marbles. 2 sets of barnet bands broken in 4 days, such poor quality. Accuracy is a joke. I am getting a 'proper' catapult from a recognised specialist such as 'forking good catapults'. (read more)

First of all the stabalizers screw into plastic threads, the wrist brace is set to high for a person without fat wrist, the sight is useless, it doesnt have anymore power than my crosmann wrist rocket. I expected better quality so save your money. (read more)

The Barnet Pro Diablo is a big boys toy that could never be classed as a serious hunting catapult. It certainly has the WOW factor in its looks but thats it. With all its counter weights sticking out like aerials and its sights , very handy in tight spots in bushs and trees NOT. I also have found that the Barnet elastic is very brittle and dry and breaks very easily , stick to Theoband Gold bands far far stronger and more powerfull. If you want a hunters catapult try "Gamekeeper Catapults"... (read more)

Barnett Pro Diablo Slingshot.
I've had the barnett pro- Diablo for a few weeks now... at a first glance it looks and feels very nice and comfortable, when i fired the first shot i realised this isnt just a plinking toy i can hunt stuff with this! I had much practise with it and ordered a spare band just incase and got over 500 1/4" ammo and set out. I spotted a rabbit about 40 meters away and managed to stalk it to about 25 yards and took aim, i had the sight spot on at this range and hit...

i have had mine almost a year now and have onhly ad to replace the elastic's once, the sight doesnt really do much but the stabilisers make it heck of a lot more accurate and easy to use. (read more)

thois is the best slingshot out on the market I use it all the time to hunt squirrels and other stuff and it is so much fun to use. but u should probably buy some replacement bands cuz the 1 they give u sucks. size 1/4 marksman steel balls work the best, but u can use bigger. (read more)

it is very accurate and powerful it is expensive but worth the money i paid i would recommend this to anyone looking for a powerful slingshot it is great for vermin such as rats birds and rabbits its sight helps the accuracy greatly and hits the target every time i cant think of any downsides to it many people say that the bands break to easily but thats due to over stretching i have had many catapults before but this by far is the best its range is long its counter balance is brilliant its... After the first 50-60 shots the rubber jus broke so you can imagine how dissapointed I was. So the famous "Magnum rubber bla... bla.." sucks. I had to change it after 30 minutes of shooting. The aim sight is absolute useless, it is not even cool for the design so I took it off.
The stabilisers are very useful... so those are not for design only... you can really feel the difference. Another thing about the rubbers... they are a little too long for a medium size person (I'm 170cm) and I had...

The Barnet Pro Diablo is the best catapult I have ever used. I got it just to play about with but its so much fun. Its really powerful and Ive managed to get my aim deadly accurate. Its a bit heavy and after a while you start to feel it but overall a great weapon. (read more)

See my review of the Pro Diablo 2-its very similar but the original model . This original model had a real problem with the wrist brace rods moving no matter how tight the rods were tightened down. The metal on the stabilizers is rather prone to corrosion. The pouch on the original model was bad but not as bad as the current model which is way too big-especially for a target rig.
If you glue the rods for the wrist brace in place and put a saunders set of rubbers and pouch on this its a...

Everone wants to know the reason for the Barnet Pro Diablo stabilisers. To stabilize it is the answer, but it cuts the recoil when shot. This can be a problem for normal slingshot users. (read more)

I had bought a Pro Diablo and I am not all that impressed with it. I think it is way too powerful for target (makes it wobbly) and the sights move way to easily! Nice grips though, I bought the newer model. With a lighter poundage band and a better sight setup I wound like it better but my Marksmen shoots better. The stablizers are a added touch to it but the make it way to bulky. since it is so powerful i use 3/8 shot (the larger shot) but 00 buckshot for shotgun reloading works much... (read more)

The first slingshot I owned was a Barnett Black Widow. Don't get me wrong, this was a great slingshot with no bad points I can think of, but I just wanted something more large and fearsome when I saw the rest of the Barnett range and saw what else was on offer.
The Diablo is just breathtaking. It's pistol grips just cling to your hand, making you feel a lot more secure in firing such a beast of destruction. Am I the first in saying the miniscule size of the black widow made me feel just a...

I don't think the black widow felt puny at all. I had the MK1 which and i don't now what you had but mine is amazing. had it about 4 years and the only thing that has snapped is the elastic! I shot a pigeon the other day with my BW. Stone almost went straight through. If that's puny i hate to see what you call large!!!!

I have a Black Widow. Is it worth buying the Pro Diablo? I'm not too worried about the looks, but I can't seem to get good accuracy with my BW. Does the Diablo really improve accuracy that much or is it just a pretty face?

The pro diablo slingshot is an amazing piece of kit, the new stylish look, looks like some kind of futeristic gun, it can easily kill rats, an excellent way to get your own back on your parents stupid garden gnomes !!!
i have had mine for about a year, it is still in perfect condition, it is a cool slingshot, overall, i would give it 10/10 for power and strenght, and 10/10 for quality. if it is a weak slingshot that only lasts a few days, THIS IS NOT THE SLINGSHOT FOR YOU !!!!!

I agree with what owen said, this is an amazing, and powerful slingshot. Ive tried using paintballs too and they work a treat.
How about using marbles aswell for some shrapnel damage? ;)

Do you think, with a pro, the power and accuracy is good enough to kill a rat or rabbit with providing you fire a large pebble, ball bearing or a hexagonal nut?
Written on: 28/03/2005
I bought a pro Diablo about 6 months ago and I think it is pretty good.
I have no problem with the power, durability and quality of it but I am not to sure about aiming. it might just be I am not very good with it but I was just wondering what your accurate range to hit a rat is with this. because at 20 meters I can get this ball bearing into a half a meter square area. just wondering what you can do with it and what the accurate range is?
