AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Disgusting company who are unprofessional, unethical and unreasonable. Once they have your money they do not care about the customer experience at all. They will not cancel your booking and won’t even make basic amendments even if made well in advance. Customer service is shocking and purposefully unhelpful. Wish I’d read these reviews before I was tricked out of £405!

Welcome Cottages do not reply to emails or answer the telephone. Consequently, if you have a problem you are stuck with it.

Mum paid a deposit of £25 for a holiday for my sister from Australia who was coming over to care for her whilst I was supposed to be on a break to Turkey with my partner for his 60th birthday. We cancelled today having booked in Feb for June. We were still outside the 70 days arrival at destination date but still they made up pay another £175 cancellation fee. Mum is 87 years old, this absolutely made her day. So if you do book, PLEASE PLEASE take note of the small print. If you need to cancel they can still take a 1/3 of the holiday price from you. Disgusting company!

Fantastic location and open fire but that was about it. When we arrived is was very cold and damp and took about 24 hrs to warm and dry up. Very well equipped but very dated. Beds uncomfortable, kitchen pretty useless, shower hopeless, no hot water in property unless you put Emerson heater on. No vacuum or brush even to keep place a bit tidy and a general feeling of dirty. Carpet grim, bedding and towels very old.

The perfect doggy getaway lovely grounds to mooch about and rest after a tiring day walking on the coastal path or running on the many local beaches. Lovely touches in the cottage such as dog beds ,towel and dog tag. Not bad for the humans either cosy comfortable cottage in a very tranquil location. A good base for touring the local area. Very welcoming owners with ideas of what to do and see in the local area. A very enjoyable break in a very scenic area.

A very clean & well equipped property, nice touches included a welcome card from the owner with WIFI details etc, milk in the fridge with sugar & tea available plus a vase of fresh flowers on the dining table. Good enclosed back garden with a rear gate which was handy for bringing the dog back in after her swimming at Beadnell bay. This was our 3rd visit to the area & would try to book this property again for our next visit. Was there for 1 week from 25/05/2019.

We have just had the most amazing week with our dogs in this beautiful part of North Wales. The owners were very welcoming with Prosecco and chocolates and information on the local area. The cottage itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The nearest pub about a mile away in Bryncrug was welcoming and the food was lovely. The beach is only a couple of miles away and was a fantastic walk. We climbed Bird Rock, visited Dolgoch falls and also Snowdon (although this is a couple of hours drive away). We took the Talyllyn steam train through the Fathew Valley to Nant Gwernol. If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is perfect and we would go back tomorrow to this magical place.

Booked a cottage through them several months in advance. Received confirmation emails both at the time of booking and a few days before it was due to start. Called the owner to arrange key collect, the day before setting off. She was surpised because she had cancelled the booking several weeks earlier (apparently she had cancelled all bookings with Welcome Cottages because of their poor customer service; I see why). I contacted Welcome Cottages who blamed it on short notice from the owner. When I told the owner this she was able to provide email evidence that they had known for weeks and hadn't bothered to tell me. As a result I was left with a very stressful afternoon desperately trying to find an alternative with just a few hours to go. I failed to do so and so all our annual leave etc has been wasted, as had 'special' food bought for the time away plus booked day trips etc. It was an absolute farce of a booking and such a waste of money and time.

The gardens to the cottage showed on the website is now very overgrown on to the footpaths, the seat shown is hardly visable through overgrown plants, the table and chairs shown could not be sat on. Plants now so close, no room for a dog to be with you. Had to push way into only grass part. The table and chairs were covered in tree sap and dirt, filthy,so unable to use. No place at all to sit out side. Inside the cottage it needed to be deep cleaned and updated with new settee and beds etc. Paid for a week's stay. Arrived Sat.26th May 2018 at 3pm. Left Sunday 27th May 7am.in the morning. Unbareable.

What a gem, we had such a lovely time. The cottage is beautiful, has all you need for a comfortable relaxing break, great location with Selby and York a short drive away and coastal towns well within reach. Dog friendly, stylish, comfortable and good value and really welcoming and helpful owners on site. We will definitely be back next year. Loved it

we have stayed in many cottages in reedham over the last ten years but yare cottage is the best we have been in. It is in the ideal situation just steps away from the river view that can be enjoyed from the front garden. Inside the cottage has everything needed to make for a perfect holiday.Having a bathroom downstairs plus a shower and separate toilet upstairs is ideal.A bonus is that the cottage has a friendly and helpful owner.

A fantastic location with lovely, comfortable cottages. A very welcoming owner and some fantastic facilities with the swimming pool and games room, along with the play area Lovely location for the dogs with plenty of walks and a short drive for shops and pubs Would definitely recommend these cottages for a quiet getaway No complaints with the accommodation at all

This year was our fourth visit to Boskin Cottage in Birchover which must tell you something about this wonderful place. We stayed in the smaller of the two holiday lets, it is very clean and comfortable with everything you need n a home away from home, it is compact, but we have plenty of room for us and our two dogs. The views from the cottage are very pretty and there is a charming garden. The owner of the cottage is always very welcoming and helpful and makes us feel part of the family.Birchover is a lovely friendly village, there are plenty of good local walks and is very well situated for exploring the rest of the Peak District and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Just spent a week with my parents staying in seventh heaven as we had 3 dogs with us we all had a great time relaxing and the lodge was as expected, comfortable and clean. Groceries were left for us by the person there who was very helpful with the fishing side of things for my dad and husband. Would we come again most definitely, was sorry to have to leave.

Just spent a fabulous weekend at roseburn cottage in Moffat. Beautiful town and our accommodation was of outstanding quality. We will definitely return. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owners who went out their way to make us comfortable. It was our first weekend away with our wee dog and we all had a wonderful time. Great walks and scenery. 10/10.

This is the best cottage we have ever stayed in. I searched hard to find somewhere we could take our dogs and Dog Rose cottage did not disappoint. The cottage is very clean and comfortable the welcome basket goes above and beyond even the dogs get liver cake. The paddock and orchard is very well fenced so the dogs have 2 acres to run and explore. There is also a fenced garden around the cottage. Nothing is to much trouble for the owners, the cottage is filled with information of places to visit. Even a chest freezer which for us was a gods send having 3 large raw fed dogs. The best doggie holiday ever we have booked again for later in the year...
