I don't like this idea of having to log in with all your details, pin number and credit card details etc. Sure their security is ok but couldn't they have a more straightforward method? Have trouble using the phone cos of health probs, so it's not very disability-friendly! I wonder if they have a freepost address? All i want to know is are they getting a certain item in but not willing to go through all this palaver! Too many financial details are flying around the various systems and... (read more)

FOR GODS SAKE, PLEASE DON'T ORDER GOODS FROM THIS CHANNEL OR ITS SISTER CHANNEL BID.TV. THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL ARE MOSTLY POOR IMITATIONS OF BETTER QUALITY BRANDED PRODUCTS. THEY ALSO CHARGE £7.99 P+P PLUS £1.53 FOR THE PHONE CALL, SO YOU CAN BASICALLY ADD ALMOST £10.00 TO ANYTHING YOU ORDER. ALSO, THEIR PHONE OPERATERS CAN, IN SOME CASES, BARELY UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. I ordered a ring from then priced at £89.98 noticed that I could buy the same ring from their site for £37.77. I phoned them back to cancel the item, they said they couldn't cancel it and I would have to return the ring for a refund. I have not received the ring and their statement says it was cancelled and yet they have not refunded me. After numerous call to them and emails they say they will refund me when I return a letter saying I haven't received the item. Had an email from them... (read more)

My mother decided that she was going to purchase an item being demonstrated, but hung up about a second later, without speaking to anyone or actually ordering a product. It is now 24 hours later - we've had about 30 calls from an Indian call centre - two of which were at 2AM. And if they dare to call one more time, I will be reporting them to the police. My mother never even PLACED an order - they're harassing a pensioner throughout the day and NIGHT trying to get her to purchase an item... (read more)

I think this price drop.tv is a scam. In fact, I've written a rather comprehensive review of the company. Read it all if you want, but skip down to the end for an overall review. :) Firstly, there are some extra costs you have to consider. There's the £7.99 cost on postage and packaging. No matter what you buy, you'll always pay that amount for the p&p. Then, to actually get in touch with them you have to call a premium rate number which costs about £1.53 for the entire call and an extra... (read more)

I saw this lovely red towels on the price drop tv website and following the numerous calms their presenters make on their channel about how good and quality their Egyptian cotton towels are, I decided to buy their 14 piece set. The worst decision I ever made. I was happy to see how rich a red the colour as I've always wanted red towels. I planned to give it away to a friend as a Christmas present but after I saw it I couldn't resist keeping it for myself. I quickly loaded it in the washing... (read more)

PRICE-DROP TV - 2 DINNER SERVICES AT £14.99 EACH + p&p &7.99 ERACH.
First of all I would like to say that this, in common with most shopping channels, obviously makes its profits from the high cost of premium telephone calls and the VERY HIGH postage - its the same for a pair of earrings as it is for a TV - they charge even more if the item is particularly heavy.
Have only ever bought ONCE from these people BUT NEVER AGAIN. I ordered two lots of a very pretty china dinner set and had to... (read more)

I have bought loads of items from pdtv, speed auction and bid tv. The phone call at £1.50 is criminal as is the usual £7.99 postage charge even for the lightest item. I have received some good deals and also some awful products which have just been put in the garage. I have managed to win on a £1 megadrop too. However, after reading the reviews on how bad customer service is, I think maybe I will stop watching and look for proper bargains on the web of makes that I have at least heard... (read more)

I have an elderly friend who has had huge phone bills.I have explained to her
about 090 numbers but is is now addicted to price drop tv because she spends a lot of time alone. Her lounge is full of goods she will never use and mostly gives away. I have brought many items over the years the majority are v/g value for money, but the jewellery buyer beware. Take no notice of the start price, they say take it to high street and get it valued well you have to be a registered valuer which you are unlikely to find in a shop and if you do they charge an average of £50 an item. The last piece i bought i paid around £400, paid £55 for valuation, valued less than £700, however their start price was around £1200 so you've been warned. Just... (read more)

Apart from the obvious problems with cheap products and extortionate postage costs, the complete absence of customer service provided by these people means that I would never touch them again.
Comments by their ever-rude and unhelpful people border on the obstructive when things go wrong. Price-drop succeeds in their service where other tv shopping channels seem to fail dismally. It's addictive viewing, even though some of the presenters are intensely annoying..perhaps that's part of the charm. I feel really angry with this channel and its sister channel. PDTV took my money in good faith and now I'm looking for a refund for a gift that never came and what have they finally said? I will receive a form to fill in, i send it back and after a few days they will return my money. What a cheek. They took my money quickly but when i want it back the process is slow. The items are good value for money at price-drop.tv. Maybe you could get them cheaper on the internet, but it saves a lot of time looking. If you only buy want you really want/need, I believe it is a good way to purchase items. This is a tv channel which sells all sorts of stuff-video cameras, clothes, golf clubs etc etc.
I think this channel is simply a waste of time if you have a computer with the internet (and you obviously do if you are reading this). I have come to this confident conclusion because anything they sell on their show can be bought cheaper on the internet. This is not really an opinion, it is fact.
For example, once they were selling a digital camera which evenually sold for £149. I typed in the... (read more)
