I think this price drop.tv is a scam. In fact, I've written a rather comprehensive review of the company. Read it all if you want, but skip down to the end for an overall review. :) Firstly, there are some extra costs you have to consider. There's the £7.99 cost on postage and packaging. No matter what you buy, you'll always pay that amount for the p&p. Ordered a Tanzanite ring which did not look like the one shown on tv,very poor quality.Looked like something out of a christmas cracker.Sent back by return post but am out of pocket £7.99 p&p whats that about for a ring plus recorded delivery return, plus high cost of phone call.No more jewellery from this company.(Rip off) (read more)

I saw this lovely red towels on the price drop tv website and following the numerous calms their presenters make on their channel about how good and quality their Egyptian cotton towels are, I decided to buy their 14 piece set. The worst decision I ever made. I was happy to see how rich a red the colour as I've always wanted red towels. Never received goods and despite several calls and emails unable to get a refund even though they acknowledge I co not have the goods have had to go to credit card company to obtain help to get money back will never use again and recommend you don't either service is fine until you hit a problem then customer service is none existent they don't care once they have your money and even if you don't receive the goods they make it very difficult for you to get your money back (read more)

PRICE-DROP TV - 2 DINNER SERVICES AT £14.99 EACH + p&p &7.99 ERACH.

First of all I would like to say that this, in common with most shopping channels, obviously makes its profits from the high cost of premium telephone calls and the VERY HIGH postage - its the same for a pair of earrings as it is for a TV - they charge even more if the item is particularly heavy.

I have bought loads of items from pdtv, speed auction and bid tv. The phone call at £1.50 is criminal as is the usual £7.99 postage charge even for the lightest item. I have received some good deals and also some awful products which have just been put in the garage. I have managed to win on a £1 megadrop too. However, after reading the reviews on how bad customer service is, I think maybe I will stop watching and look for proper bargains on the web of makes that I have at least heard... (read more)

got e-mail informing me recieved goods ,i never got a refund on my postage even after sending the po reciept to custmer services in london.
just one thing to say

I have an elderly friend who has had huge phone bills.I have explained to her
about 090 numbers but is is now addicted to price drop tv because she spends a lot of time alone. Her lounge is full of goods she will never use and mostly gives away. In the last 3 months she has bought 181 items. Cost of phone calls over £260. P&P £1446.19. This is before the cost of the item is added.
She has actual purchased more and had a phone bill of over £500. Spend per year over £ 8000. I know it is her... (read more)

I bought an i'dect triple cordless phone from P'Drop TV last week.
Un-packed it at the weekend only to find the base station would not charge the main phone (faulty).
Phoned customer services strait away who told me to return it using recorded or special delivery (cost: £6.60).
Have tried to phone them this morning to reclaim postage cost using the number as detailed on their website but their line is dead.

I bought an iron which I had to send back in January as it was faulty. Sent it back recorded delivery and price drop dont seem to have received it. Royal Mail were investigating but price drop haven't replied to them as yet. I now have to sort it out with price drop which I'm not looking forward to as in my opinion their customer service is the worst I've ever come across. I'm not letting this drop as someone owes me the price of the iron and the postage. (read more)

I have brought many items over the years the majority are v/g value for money, but the jewellery buyer beware. Take no notice of the start price, they say take it to high street and get it valued well you have to be a registered valuer which you are unlikely to find in a shop and if you do they charge an average of £50 an item. The last piece i bought i paid around £400, paid £55 for valuation, valued less than £700, however their start price was around £1200 so you've been warned. Just... (read more)

Awful customer service, they did not respond to my complaints. You have to pay for returns, even if they are faulty. I found very rude call centre staff

I used to buy a lot of stuff from them, but they have got too big and I think they think they can get away with poor service. There is a good business hiding in there somewhere. (read more)

Apart from the obvious problems with cheap products and extortionate postage costs, the complete absence of customer service provided by these people means that I would never touch them again.

Comments by their ever-rude and unhelpful people border on the obstructive when things go wrong. I would prefer to pay more somewhere else (probably not much more when the postage is taken into account) and have some comfort that I won't have deal with these unhelpful, arrogant, unintelligent and... Price-drop succeeds in their service where other tv shopping channels seem to fail dismally. It's addictive viewing, even though some of the presenters are intensely annoying..perhaps that's part of the charm. If you find yourself a bargain on there you're probably right, but check online first. You know they'll be selling the same goods the next day so there's no rush! (read more)

The items are good value for money at price-drop.tv. Maybe you could get them cheaper on the internet, but it saves a lot of time looking. If you only buy want you really want/need, I believe it is a good way to purchase items. Be careful not to get carried away by the sales blurb though, because you could end up with a lot of stuff you really have no use for and spending a lot of money. (read more)

This is a tv channel which sells all sorts of stuff-video cameras, clothes, golf clubs etc etc.

I think this channel is simply a waste of time if you have a computer with the internet (and you obviously do if you are reading this). I have come to this confident conclusion because anything they sell on their show can be bought cheaper on the internet. This is not really an opinion, it is fact.

Product sounded great, bought it but it arrived damaged. Price Drop TV promised a replacement, never arrived. Several phone calls later told me they couldn't replace item. Then told I had to wait in at home between 8am and 5pm for them to collect it before I could get a refund. What a joke, never buy from these people. (read more)

On the 14/12/2005 I returned 5 lots of clothing to price-drop.tv, because of faults it cost me £20.14 in postage which they said I would get refunded. The total cost of my refund is £65.90 and to this date (8/02/05) I have still not had all of my money back. I have phoned customer services 12 times only to be told they would sort it out. I have bought many a things from this shopping channel and I'm a regular customer. Amongst the many a things I've recently bought are a padded jacket and smoe jumpers and my husband is over the moon with how warm they are - he even got a bonus for not slacking off and saying how cold the weather is! Infact he now says he's too hot and recomended the price-drop.tv channel to his work mates!

Recently purchased a watch from price-drop.tv for my husbands birthday. I am very pleased with this product. I have done my research on this item and it is indeed a great bargain. It's an easy system to buy, you call them press 1 to buy and a helpful, freindly customer service representative calls you back. price-drop.tv - The customer service is good and there are some great bargains to be had. The trick is to only get what you want and ignore the chaf that they bulk out the viewing time with.

Having "dropped in" several times, I know that the stuff is delivered on time and at better prices than the high street (where else can you get towels at that price). (read more)

I have always found the goods to be of good quality, they arrive within the specified seven days and at the lowest prices to be found. The customer services are always helpful. price-drop.tv - I made my first order on 01.11.2004, contacted them on 10.11.2004 to find out where my order was as I had not received it. Told for some reason courier had not delivered it, asked for refund told it would take 4 days. told on 18.11.2004 that it would take now 14 days also that I was promised a call back never happened.

It's fantastic, even if you don't drop in on anything, you're just thouroughly entertained by the presenters.
Great products, wide variety.
If you want to watch, it's on Sky: 636, Freeview:24 and you can also watch on ntl and Telewest.
Its sister chanel bid-up.tv is also great (Sky:647, Freeview:24).
