Really not up to standards that this show should achieve, especially given the publicity and the standard of other shows in the West End.

OK... apart from the songs, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was bad. The acting was loose and in parts farcical, maybe a bad day for the staff? I think not.
Singers were smiling ineptly and sweating, I thought it was hard work for them and probably harder work for us.

This performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was very different to the last performance I saw. But I still enjoyed the show.

I think if you have never seen Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat before you would enjoy it - the magnificent songs and lyrics of "Joseph" are hard to spoil.

On the other hand this is not the best production I have seen and when the producer changed things to make a point I usually disagreeed with the point.

Having seen it done well, this was a little disappointing.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The New London Theatre - I thought this show was amazing. It really showed its colours! The main star, Ian Watkins (H from steps), was truly astonishing. His acting skills amazed everyone. The 2 choirs Capital Arts children's choir and The Carmel Thomas Youth singers really brought the show together. All the brothers had great singing voices as well as acting skills, the Handmaidens entertained me throughout they were great. You haven't seen any ...

This was my least favorite production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat out of the three that I have seen on stage. The humour was lacking, the cast was small and needing more women and there were many solos that were deleted...changing the feel dramatically. The theater is small, so most seats are good, but paying 40 pounds for the 2nd to last row in the theater was a disappointment.

The children (ages 11 and 13) were not sure that they would enjoy all the music and no acting in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat . However the scene changes were frequent enough to add variety and the modern interpretation ensured that they were kept well entertained. I would recommend this as a great family show.
