I have not stayed in any other hotel in Santa Ponsa but I have been around the world and this is the first time in all my years of traveling that I can say that a hotel is perfect. Members of staff are amazing and the rooms are clean and the whole hotel is beautiful. We are going back! (read more)

Fantastic welcome was quickly let down by poor customer service, rude staff and ridiculous on the spot fines. Families only unless you are willing to treat the place like a library!! No sheets given for couch bed and towels for 2 people provided despite 4 in apartment. Food in bar was good but one member of staff was particularly rude and unhelpful. I am just home from a holiday with my partner. Reception staff were awful, they completely tarnished our holiday. Most unhelpful. They just were not interested unless you were a family or an older person!! Will not be back

I can not emphasize how good this hotel was. We had two beautiful apartments room 131 and 132 and we were delighted with the accommodation and the staff. Although the hotel is self catering, we only used the fridge for keeping drinks and milk in because food and drinks were good value for money and who wants to cook on holiday. It seems that the majority of the guests in this hotel have been there many times in the past and that says a lot. The entertainers are hilarious and kept us laughing... (read more)

Santa Ponsa well what can we say!
Did not enjoy our holiday here, it is, for a start, way too pricey for what it is. Food, drink, travel, all expensive. You could go to the Canaries and spend less than here. Bars near the hotel like the Dubliner which are dirty and unhygenic to Simplys bar which is full of dirt and grime and smells accordingly can charge Dublin prices for drink, but are buying their drink at a fraction of the price that Irish publicans buy drink for. So why do they see fit...

We have been going to Spain every year since late 80s and we think of Holiday Park Apartments and Santa Ponsa very highly. Holiday Park is the kind of place that makes you feel welcome from day one and makes you sad when you are departing. The reception staff, the waiters, the entertainers and even the pool cleaners are so friendly and so caring that we made friends with them. The hotel is always clean and the pool area is the place to be.
Food and drinks are exceptionally great at the bar....

I found this review not helpful because... it doesnt speak the truth about SANTA PONSA. It is run down and dirty and needs to bring itself into the 20th century fast or it will get left behind as is evident from the lack of tourists it attracts any more. Better value for money places than this resort, trust me! Hotels are all dated, most don't even supply air con. One hotel where the night porter sneeks into rooms and robs them, another where its covered in cockroaches is this a good resort??? Dont think so!

This was our fourth trip to Santa Ponsa but unfortunately will be our last. However we cant fault the Holiday Park as we have stayed here 3 times from the 4 and it is excellent, its the resort that isn't, it has gone downhill so much in 7 years. Its got dirty, with less and less visitors every year. Bars like the Dubliner and Simplys insist on robbing people with drink prices and its putting people off the resort we think. Hi, it seems that you are angry with two Pubs in Santa Ponsa and there are more than 100 other Pubs in the resort of Santa Ponsa so why not just go to a different pub? Also, if you have been to the resort 3 times, you must have really enjoyed it to go back for a 4th time, so why suddenly badmouth the resort? Thanks, Junior.

I found this review very helpful because..WE had the same experiences of Santa Ponsa and the Dubliner in particular, it and Santa Ponsa are too expensive for what ti is.

If you read my review properly Junior we said the bars at the beach we found to be still very good. Furthermore our feeling on Santa Ponsa is as we wrote, it has gone downhill big time, as is evident by the lack of visitors it is attracting anymore. It needs a re vamp as it is still stuck in the 70s and the hotels need to upgrade fast. Aspects of the resort were dirty and neglected. However the beach itself is still lovely and so are the bars and restaurants around the beach, but it is hard to get away from the fact that it has fallen behind as a top destination to go to.

OK I booked at the last minute and got a fab deal £900 for family of 4 for 2 weeks. Where do I start. Stairs, if youre not fit dont book here. Lots of drunken teenagers who party constantly we had to move room. 1 teenager was sick in the pool and casualy walked away disgusting.Rooms are so basic need lots of work on them. I am 12 and I just got back from the hotel (Holiday Park Santa Ponsa) today. I thought it was a great expirience for me and my family as we really enjoyed it. Great hotel, no problems to report except all the steps but you get used to them. Good offers on drink and fun karaoke.
Go down the road to roundabout and all the main bars are there. The Shamrock bar is brill, as is Dannys Corner, Disco Inferno, Seans Place all the best ones. The beach is spotless and really nice. It was desperately quiet however and we hear that Santa Ponsa tourist numbers have been dropping for years with this year the worst apparently.

This was my first visit to Santa Ponca wnd I must say that my stay at the Holiday Park Appartments ensures that it will certainly not be my last! From the management down to the cleaning staff it was a case of making sure you enjoyed your stay.Every time you passed by the reception area you were greeted with a smile and a cheery word. I have rarely met more helpful staff in my worldwide travels.

Great hotel, we enjoyed our time here last year. Will be going back in July this year. Rooms were clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The only criticism is that it can be noisy in August with teenagers but not too bad. Good pool and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It on the main strip where all the bars are and again at this time of the year can be very boisterous and noisey with teens taking over.

Nice resort altough a little dated, could do with some investment. Besides that it is nearly sure to be hot and the beach is kept clean and is in a cove very nice. The resort is full of restaurants and bars. Go to the beach either side and there are some fabulous eateries. Go up Ramon de Moncada and eat in Rafters or Mrs Murphys Kitchen good food and good value. Stay clear of the Dubliner restaurant and bar its a rip off. Stayed at holiday park hotel apartments for 10 days in May 2009 and met 4 mega famous football players staying at this hotel while we were there and it was incredible to see them like everyone else enjoying a karaoke. Apparantly May and June is when all footballers stay at holiday park before the season starts. We were so pleased that we have already made a reservation to go back in May 2010. Don't think that this means that you have to be a football fan to enjoy it here though.

Bar staff were friendly but didn't find the management to be.
We witnessed in our opinion absolutely no customer service. When my girlfriend and I arrived we were given in our opinion a disgracefully unkempt room that faced into a lane way and there was a very loud bar below us so we could not even go on to our balcony because of the noise and drunk teenagers whistling up at us from the bar.

The Holiday Park Apartments were quite nice. One drawback being that you had to hire a kettle, toaster or hairdryer, although we used a saucepan to boil water. Apartments are very basic. Air conditioning remote controls have to be hired at 5 euro's per night so it works out quite expensive if the weather is hot. The rules on noise are explained when you arrive and are supposed to be strict, yet a group of about 40 people that where there for a wedding made huge amounts of noise till 4am and did not get removed. This could be because they were spending so much money over the bar. Towels are changed only every 4 days. We enjoyed our stay, we would definitely go back. The staff were very warm and friendly both at the bar area and at reception. The apartments were central to everything, nightlife, beach, shops and even the bus for Aquapark, Marinaworld etc. would pick us up right outside the apartments.
