What a pleasant surprise! It is not often that your expectations are surpassed but that was definitely the case with this hotel. We expected a pretty standard Butlins in the sun affair but it was so much more than that. The food was excellent with different themes each night and there was so much going on around the complex. Our family room was excellent and we had great views across the resort and out to see. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the cabaret acts on the main stage. (read more)

This hotel complex is excellent value for money. We were a family of 5 staying in one of the larger family rooms (which was plenty big enough and had great views), and for what we paid the level of service we received and the standard of food was excellent. It is a clean hotel and you are reminded about hygeine everywhere you go and you are even asked to use some hand-wash before you enter the dining rooms. The Marte is the smallest of the 3 hotels on this complex, but other than that there is no real difference with the facilities on offer in each of the hotels and they all share the same on site amenities and you are free to eat in which ever restaurant you prefer.
The complex is very big and is it very busy, but there is plenty to occupy yourself and we liked the fact that they put distance between the main hotels and the kids club as that way it felt more secure. The club and...

Joy of joys - after 2 consecutive holiday nightmares we finally found a place that did exactly what it promised. The Club Mac complex is big and if you don't like it too busy then may be its not for you, but with 3 energetic young children we found it perfect. Nice room, great food, great service and one of the better kids club weve experienced over the years. Best part is the staff, they never stopped smiling. Loved it! (read more)

Just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable two weeks at this excellent family complex. Everything about the place was right, from the service, to the facilities and food. The hotel was very large, but that said they still managed to keep the level of service personal and it was lovely to stay at a place with such great staff.

I would just like to say that our family had a wonderful time at this hotel everything was spot on. Some people seem to be very quick to judge others on here. I can honestly say that the pools were all great. The entertainment staff were all brilliant and do a thankless job for the amount of hours they put in. The thing that stands out most about this hotel has to be the level of service provided by the exceptionally friendly staff. From reception staff to the cleaners and entertainers they always greet you with a smile and will always do what they can to help.
As for the facilities and services they couldn't really be faulted. It isn't luxury but everything is clean and the complex is attractive and well looked after.

I can hardly believe some of the negative reviews I have read about this hotel.
The staff were incredibly friendly and the service was first rate. We loved the entertainment and the food was excellent and there was always plenty of choice.
The swimming pools were all very clean and we didn't find them too busy. Had a good time at the hydro park next door which we would recommend.
We would recommend that you take some good mozzie spray though.

lovely staff, great complex with decent sized rooms and excellent food. can't speak highly enough of the entertainment team who really made my daughter's holiday.
the pool areas were exceptional and kept clean at all times which was a challenge considering the amount of people there.
alcudia was great and the beach just about the most pleasant i've been on. would love to go back again.
overall very little to fault and a really enjoyable holiday.

Our stay was an almost entirely positive one. Good food, clean rooms and friendly staff made for an excellent holiday. The facilities were good as was the entertainment programme which our children loved.
I found Alcudia itself a pricey, but everything we needed was to be found on the complex and it had such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that we rarely ventured off site anyway. Deserves top marks.

Had a wonderful time at the Club Mac Marte in September of 2009. Hotel had everything we could have wished for in terms of amenities. The hotel was clean, spacious and had great staff. Food wasn't spectacular but it was good enough and there was plenty of variety and choice.
The public areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained and the pools were lovely and the water clean (which is never a guarantee in these places).

Considering the price we paid for our holiday at the Marte Hotel in Alcudia, it was far below our expectations, and we could never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was full of rude British people who abused the all inclusive alcohol, and then showed no respect to other guests. We had a drunken lady fall into our pushchair, knocking it over causing our 6 month daughter to injure her head, then she just disappeared whilst we looked after our daughter. how can you give the resort nil ... sandy lane it is not, but it is one great place for my kids who are 8 and under, we have our holiday later in the year but alcudia is great for kids, try the local bus service its great we have covered the whole island on our days out and some of it is breathtaking, we do not drink so don't go out after 10pm but you must go to a different alcudia than me...
