I love my Futura straightners. I bought them because they have bigger plates than other straightners, and i have thick, long hair, and its much quicker to straighten with these. I have had 2 pairs in 9 years, and they still have plenty of life them. So very good value for money, and very durable. Hightly recommendeed.

brilliant for thick hair, i had mine replaced about 7 years ago and i am only just needing a new pair now, and that's because i stood on them.

because of there being a fault with the straighteners, when i bought mine from a hair salon, they replaced them for a brand new pair free of charge when the spring broke. second pair has since worked wonders!

I think these straighteners are great, excellent value for money and worth while giving a go. Especially for those with thicker hair.

I totally agree with sorrentoking, great product, they don't drag through your hair like ceramics do and the comb is great too. I have had springs snap with two sets of Futuras and I can't seem to find a Customer Service Address to get replacements: Sorrentoking, please could you advise how you got hold of them. I'm using my second pair without a spring, but they don't do the job properly. The spring is obviously a problem and it would be a 10 out of 10 if this matter could be resolved.

Overall, great straighteners, I have not found another pair I like. They do not frazzle your hair and compared to other ones on the market are reasonably priced. Others drag/rip through your hair, whereas these glide through and your hair feels soft.

Great size plates, straightens quicker & way better than GHD's.

I bought the Fransen Futura because the stylist used them on my hair in the salon, saying they were the only ones that would cope with my insanely thick and curly mop - just proves the professionals know what they're talking about! If I have to borrow someone else's, I really appreciate how great mine are, because nothing less heavy duty is up to the job. They're about the middle of the market price wise, which is great value for money considering I've had them for 6 years and they've never let ...

I have had my pair of fransen futura super standard wide hair straighteners for over 6 years. They have never let me down. They give my hair a super straight finish, with a nice shine. I use them every day and my hair never gets that "frazzled" look on the ends.
At Christmasmas my husband got me a pair of narrow Remington straighteners (I had my hair cut shorter), after 6 weeks of use my hair feels awful and has got "frazzled" look about it. Off to hair dresser for a good cut. Remington's have ...

overall I couldn't live without these straightners, they are probably the best ones out there and last for years. I have had mine for 3 years and they are still going strong. they aren't that pricy considering.

I found the Fransen Futura hair straighteners very easy to use on my hair, which can be difficult to get straight at times. They were quick to heat up and cheap enough to buy. I have tried more expensive products that didn't work as well on my hair.

Apart from the fact that my Fransen Futura hair straighteners fall off my table every 10 seconds, which causes me a lot of anger, they're very good value for money straighteners. I have bought some Babyliss thermaglass ones in the past for £75, and I ended up taking them back. They say they get a lot hotter than Futura, but I stood there for 40 minutes trying to get my hair to even look remotely straight and my hair ended up being frizzier. It takes 10 minutes with the Fransen Futura, and ...

The Fransen Futura are great value for money and I think the best on the market, give your hair a lovely shine and your hair does not frizz after which is brilliant. I have had these for 4 years and never a fault on them (touch wood). Even though they don't heat up as fast as the other makes it only takes just over a min or so. Good buy

I bought a pair of Fransen Futura straighteners approx 4 years ago and have straight hair ever since, they are the best I have ever tried and even my friends who have straight hair use them just to finish off as it gives them a professional finish.

I have naturally curly hair and believe me it's extremely curly, when I got to about 14 I decided I wanted straight hair, I had it professionally straightened and it came back curly within 24hrs! I then tried various friends' straighteners only to ...

Fransen Futura are absolute rubbish!! I've had a few hair straightners since using them and these prove to be less effective than others. There bulky, heavy, hard to handle and they don't straighten your hair!! If you do manage to straighten it doesn't stay that way for very long. Don't waste your money, hair tools ceramic are best for value and do the job, I'm going to purchase them again.

Would recommend the Fransen Futura Hair Straighteners to most people but the older model is better than the newer model (this one).

The Fransen Futura hair straighteners are great. I have very thick hair and don't have any trouble with them. I admit they are quite heavy but the end result leaves my hair perfectly straight. I have had them for 3 years and the spring broke only due to me standing on them. I also own a pair of Ghd's and they heat up much quicker than the fransen ones, but they are only £30 after all. The other reviews say that they damage your hair, but you find all straighteners do.
    I am now planning o ...

I have owned the Fransen Futura hair straigheners for over three years and the spring broke about 6 months ago, but it was easily fixed again. Like other reviewers I had previously owned a Bablyss set but the Fransen are by far a superior model, so much so that I have just ordered over the net the 1" version for travelling purposes and to remove the kinks from my fringe (they are supposed to be for worldwide use but I'll see when they arrive!!!). I find that the metal finish is kinder on hair ...

Fransen Futura - They're hard to use. They're too heavy and annoying. They damage hair a lot, as you have to go over the sections a lot. They are metal as well, not ceramic which makes them harder to use, and they don't get warm enough. They would be o.k for fine hair, but hopeless for thick hair. There are very good points with these straighteners.

Fransen Futura - Before my Futuras, I had Babyliss steam straighteners I had bought from Argos for £30.00 but they were rubbish on my hair. I bought my Fransen Futura hair straighteners nearly two years ago from my hairdresser's salon for £50.00, a considerable amount less than the price of GHD's and they work just as well. The chunky handles make the job of straightening sections quicker. My hair is naturally very thick but these create a slimmer, sleek effect. When I first got them ...
