Good Points: Well built, accurate, easy to handle, and pleasant to shoot. Handy features and good trigger performance make it an expensive rifle worthy of consideration.

Bad Points: Large size, mediocre barrel lockup, badly positioned and counterintuitive trigger safety, disappointing power loss over time (probably the result of poor mainspring quality or design).

General comments: I purchased my QB25/.22 caliber for around $80. It was slightly used, but had been tuned and shipped with an extra mainspring and piston seal. Though a large and fairly heavy rifle, it handled and balanced quite well. Recoil was present but not harsh, and the overall shooting cycle was quite pleasant for an inexpensive Chinese air rifle. Even the trigger, which I believe is a copy of the much despised Gamo unit, was actually smooth and quite tolerable in pull quality and weight; in short, a solid hunting trigger. The adjustable buttplate, factory scope stop, and European-style adjustable sights (click-adjustable rear, hooded globe front w/ insert capability) were all nice touches as well. Since I bought the rifle for hunting in cooler weather than my Co2 rifles would work in, I mounted a scope and proceeded to break in and chronograph it. Initial results were quite promising, as the QB spit out 14-16 grain pellets in the mid-high 600 fps range, and tossed out 11 grain RWS Hobbies in the 700-710fps area. I managed to kill a red squirrel and a woodchuck with it, and it did a fine job on both pests. After several months, I noticed my shots were dropping low on the range whenever I was plinking at extended ranges. Concerned, I had the rifle chronographed a second time. This time I was very disappointed. The QB was barely able to break 600fps with Hobbies; mid-weight fodder poked along in the mid-500s. I later found out this a fairly common problem with these guns, and despite the fact I still had an extra spring and seal around, I lost interest in the anemic (though still quite accurate) flagpole of a rifle. I ended up giving to my cousin, a newcomer to airguns, and he has gotten good service out of it from what he tells me. Other than this confounding issue, only the finicky and insecure barrel lockup (the wedge-shaped barrel lock it uses has given me trouble on every other rifle that employs it as well) and badly positioned trigger safety (to me it is counterintuitive and nearly blocks the trigger when placed in the "safe" position) and the gun's hefty proportions caused me any trouble, and I would be willing to live with them if the gun performed as I believe it should have. I can recommend this well-built rifle on its good points alone, especially if one can acquire it for $100 or less. Otherwise, the weak spring problem is enough to deter me from purchasing another. If you are able to find one that shoots well and doesn't loose it's power for a good price, than I certainly would consider getting it.

The Tech Force QB25 (TF25) was my first purchase of a "better" Chinese air rifle, and it turned out to be something of a disappointment. It came from the factory with a fair bit of barrel droop and some minor shipping damage, but it shot reasonably well when new.

The gun sat unused for several months, after which it (for no apparent reason) seemed to lose significant power. I bought a replacement spring/seal from Compasseco, but neither fit properly. I finally shimmed up the original spring a ...

The Tech Force QB25 has Good power, fair accuracy and nice handling. It feels good at point shoulder because the stock can be adjusted at the shoulder for scope eye alignment. The trigger has been adjusted so that it's pretty smooth and it can be pretty accurate at times. Then with the same pellet it shoots high to the left. Could be the pellets which are Crossman wadcutters but my other .22 rifle is very consistent with this pellet.

Because of poor trigger adjustment the barrel lock up has ...

I saw the Tech Force QB25 Improved rifle on Compresseco Inc. it looked pretty good, as I search the Net for information I didn't find much. What I found and this probably reason there was not much data available, this is a Gamo Clone.

Its rate 1000fps in .177 and 800 fps in .22. I took it out of its box and was impressed with everything except the replaceable front sight and there was a small spot on the stock, near the under barrel, that was not stained.

    Inital performance test, I put a ...
