Good Points: Quick, friendly, didn't try to sell me anything, passed my car first time even after I told them I thought it was scrap metal!
Bad Points: None
General comments: Brilliant MOT and Service on my old car. Kwik Fit Tyre and Exhaust Centre made me feel comfortable despite being a young woman on my own, they could've easily told me anything and I would've believed them but the car, despite being old, passed first time and they didn't try to sell me anything. Very happy. (This was the Cambridge centre, I can't vouch for any others).

i took the car again to kwikfit, told them what they did wrong to the steering wheel, they put it on the rumb for 15 mints, i don't know what they did, the guy told me to take it and i dont even need to check it as he was so confedent, it was 5 mints later when i found out that the steering wheel is now worse than before, i gave up i'll be taking it to any other place to get it done, and my advice now to everyone, stay away from kwikfit.

Went to Royston Kwik Fit to have a slow puncture repaired and 2 wheels balanced. They could not find the puncture but balanced the 2 wheels. They charged me £20:50p....Before I left the premises I thought that seems a lot for 2 balanced wheels, so I checked my receipt which had 4 crome dust caps added, When I complained they refunded my money and said they made a mistake but I was the only car on their premises at the time so how can that mistake have happened.

I went into Kwik Fit Tyre and Exhaust Centre for a loose handbrake. They tightened this up for free, which I was very grateful for, but also said I needed a new offside front tyre.Fine I thought and paid them £60 for this. It was obvious driving back that the steering was off and I was struggling to keep the car in a straight line. It was pulling left. I checked the tyre pressures and they were all over the place so i equalised them, but it didnt fix it so I went back. They did something ...

Took my car in for the free oil change, checked the day before by phone that they had the oil and filter in. Arrived at 08:30 found a queue of people. Waited until it died down then booked my car in, was then told that they didn't have the oil or filter in stock and I'd have to wait an hour. The hour turned into 3. However, after 3 hours, car was ready and off I went. I'm not sure it was fitted back on properly so I had to jack up the car and temporarily fix the cover back on before going to Vol ...

My brake pad warning light came on and I took the car to Kwik Fit for a quick replacement. Guess what - needed pads and discs (front and rear), rear shocks, new ABS sensors. Total sum £766. Unbelievable. I had the rear pads and discs done then came to my senses and said I didn't want the rest of the work done. They took £200 off after a fair amount of discussion, presumably because they didn't want me going to my normal garage, who would have told me there was little wrong. I can't ...

1. Treated rudely at the beginning
2. Put stamp to wrong place and rudely refused to change
3. Many trips invovled
Just waste of time and money for exchange of bad treatment

My experience has led me to conclude that Kwik Fit are not the best. My alternator went and I had it fixed at my local Kwik Fit Repair Centre. After the work my battery started to go flat and when the RAC looked at the car it was discovered that the engineer had not tightened any of the bolts securing the alternator, one was missing and the rest were holding it on by a wing and a prayer. The alternator was leaning, the fan belt was slack and it could've fallen out at any moment. Then just 13 mon ...

Checked with the call centre that morning slots were available and booked and prepaid a full service.Took the morning off work, drove to the centre only to be told they dont do any slot other than 0830-1730. Called the call centre who again confirmed they operated time slots and the centre manager was wrong; they disagreed and refused to even see if they could get it done that morning, claiming the four cars booked in would be on the ramps for 8 hours and they "fit them in around the jobs that c ...

Took my Renault Megane to local Kwik-Fit centre with whine from front of car, knowing something was wrong chose nearest centre for job, Manager jacked car up spun wheels, took it for drive and decided drive shaft or shafts worn cost £193 to replace with genuine Renaults. OK, go ahead I said and booked car in for following week. Took it in, work done but note not genuine Renault Parts fitted, anyway went to visit friends and lo and behold whine returns, have checked again this correctly and ...

Today on Saturday 3rd March 2007 I called at the Darnell branch of Kwik Fit Tyre and Exhaust Centre and waited 50 minutes before my vehicle was looked at to inspect the exhaust system, the middle section was defective and was told it would take about 2 hours for one to arrive. This was OK so I went and did some shopping etc. I went back after I phoned to see if the fitter could fit it, after 45 minutes he drove my vehicle onto the ramp and said "this is the wrong pipe" and the suppliers are now ...

I took my car to Kwik Fit in Aberdeen earlier this year to get a full exhaust system fitted. I chose Kwik Fit despite knowing better because my small local garage was fully booked for the next week and a half. The system was fitted in a few hours and I went back to work. When I arrived home I realised that the exhaust was blowing at the manifold at the front of the car. The next day I took it back and they booked it in for the morning. A young fitter advised me that they needed to fit a gasket o ...

On the 12th January I went into the Bridlington branch of Kwik Fit after hearing a rattling noise under my Mitsubishi Animal. They put the car up onto the ramps and they told me that the baffles in the back box had gone and I would therefore need a full new back box section, but that they would need to order in the part at a cost of £400. I then contacted the garage where my car came from and gave them the information from Kwik Fit and they consequently quoted me £300 to carry out th ...

My car windscreen wipers were better at scratching my windscreen than removing the rain so I needed to replace them. I first went to halfords where there was a dopey looking guy on the counter who had no interest in what I needed. I had wrongly assumed that you could just get the rubber (women drivers). My next stop was Fletchers who I have given a good review to before as they were good but they only had one blade (they obviously don't come in pairs)
My last stop was Kwik fit which is right ...

We had a replacement tyre put on at Kwik Fit Tyre and Exhaust Centre in Cardiff this August. Until we put our car through its MOT a week ago, we thought all was okay. Our car failed its MOT because the tyre they replaced had been put on the wrong way. Apparently the tyre we had has a one way tread?

Driving into Ayr on Friday 14th whilst on holiday. As we drove in I asked my wife if the exhaust seemed to be noisy to her. She replied, 'Yes'. Unbelieveably, we passed the Ayr Kwik-Fit Centre as we were talking. It was 5.30pm on Friday night. I said we would be lucky to get any service. The mechanics showed us where the exhaust was broken and rusted. We drove out of the centre at 5.55pm with two new exhaust parts fitted.

Starting on Jan 2005 I had my middle box replaced by Kwik Fit in Sale upon which I was told I had a guarantee for the part for 2 years. In November 2005 I thought that I heard my exhaust 'blowing' again so I went to my local branch in Preston who advised me that the part had gone in the same place as the original part, and I was told that I couldn't drive the car as it was likely to drop off! So I had to call in work and take a day off unpaid leave. It was replaced immediately under warranty. ...
