Good Points: Looks are stunning... classic showjumping hat that looks excellent in competition, out on a hack or simply practising for the big event!

General comments: The Charles Owen SJ2000 is an extremely good hat - not cheap, but when you consider what it is designed to protect, it is well worth the money. All of Charles Owens' hats are good and this is just about the top of the range.

Designed with a classical and very elegant deep crown profile and covered in thick-pile French velvet. Considerable lacing adjustment at the back ensures a snug secure fit at the nape of your neck, not allowing it to wobble as some others are prone to do.

For extra comfort, it is lined with absorbent cotton and fitted with a neat padded soft leather harness - made from Pittards water and grease resistant Nappa leather. It's so comfortable, it's easy to forget you're wearing it (so check just before you ride out that you have actually got it on!!!).

This hat is THE most comfortable on the market to date. It is lightweight whilst managing to retain the feeling of substantial protection. It is classic in its style and so whilst it is advertised as a 'showjumper', you could take it anywhere and look good and feel and indeed BE protected.

It is relativley easy to clean using Charles Owens' own products and once you have cleaned it properley it will look 'good-as-new'.

I can't rate this hat too highly.
