    Bad Points: I experienced poor customer service


    General comments: Ordered items advertised as in stock turned out to be out of stock. Wasn't informed about this. Only found out on enquiring a week later when nothing had arrived. Customer service seemed unhelpful.

    On Monday I placed an order with them for an Acer 5633WLMI Notebook at £492 excluding VAT + £4.65 + £13.99 delivery. Then I decided to cancel as I saw a model with the Geforce Go 7300 for £557 excluding VAT.

    So I phoned them, and after 20 minutes or so, I got through to a lady who said my order had already been cancelled as the address was not authorised (then I remembered I hadn't changed my credit card address to reflect my new address).

    I ordered a cordless dual dect/VOIP phone from Savastore, which was due to be in stock in 1 - 2 weeks. I placed the order, then I happened to go onto the site about a week later to check to see if it was in stock yet.

    The order had been cancelled. No explanation whatsoever, and no email was sent to me to inform me that the order had been cancelled. The product was still listed on the site, and I had no clue whatsoever as to what the problem might be.

    I bought a laptop from this company and returned it after a few days because it was faulty. I have been battling for 8 weeks to get my money back. Do not even think about buying from them.

    I ordered a DVD Recorder and some DVDs. There was a slight delay in delivery so I phoned customer Service (who were easy to contact) and they dispatched my DVD Recorder as they were waiting for stocks of the DVDs I had ordered. Recorder came promptly with City Link which I could track on their website.

    Savastore is a good store. I am surprised at the amount of negative reviews. They offer good prices, and both my brother and I have used them for about 2 years. We have never had a problem with customer services or delivery. A lot of items tend to be out of stock, but I have found that if you filter search for in stock items, then there are no problems.

    Savastore has cheap prices. When in stock, usually arrives the next day. When not in stock you don't know when it will arrive. As you can see, I've spent an awful lot with them but of late are getting more & more annoyed with the service. They refuse to answer emails and when you do manage to get through on the phone, they cut you off if they don't know what to do. I ordered 2 things last week, one arrived the next day.     I am building a PC from scratch, and the Savastore web site has the cheapest prices I could find on the web for the majority of the items I needed.

    Unfortunately, they won't deliver directly to my work address. The courier company won't deliver to my work address after a failed delivery, unless Savastore tell them to, even if I have the attempted delivery cards and proof of identity.     I sent continual emails and Savastore never answered many of them, nor do you ever speak to there customer service. I was in a no win situation, a broken printer and Lexmark told me to phone Savastore to sort it out but they're impossible to contact. After 20 or so emails I eventually got my money back two months later. So by saving money I ended up with a frustrating time.

    I will avoid this firm like the plague from now on. I may pay more with Currys, Comet etc, but I always got good service and no hassle. The LCD TV I purchased failed. I was forced to contact Sharp Uk.

    Though bargains on Savastore may tempt you into making a purchase from them over others, resist temptations to buy. You may end up the value of that bargain in the returns postage, national rate phone calls and wasted time.

    I assure you spending a few pounds extra will definitely be worth it in an another store, do not buy from this store especially technical items.

    I have had my product manuals stained even though I purchased it new - something to think about on how this firm operates.

    Apart from when taking an order, it's immpossible to get hold of any Savastore customer sevice representatives. After sales service is the worst experienced ever. Do not and I request, do not consider shopping with Savastore, I am very disappointed that they advised me on compatibility of a product but now deny any responsibility on advice. Also are charging me 25% restocking fee, let alone the money I paid to the national customer service number, 27 minutes wait and finally gave up.

    If you run into trouble with any of the Savastore goods you ordered...better throw it to the garbage and buy a new one again. From the components I ordered, they delivered me 1GB DDR333 ram instead of 1GB DDR400, and also that one had problems. I asked them to replace it and it has been 1 month and I still wait for a post paid label.     I order all electronic goods from savastore. This is the first place i look and the first place you should look. Ive used them for 2 years and only encountered 2 problems. The first was when i ordered a PC case. The delivery was very fast as per usual with savastore but it arrived damaged. The courier amtrak had droped the package resulting in the case becoming distorted and breaking the power supply (the later result caused my next problem) I did not send it back because i was able to rectify t ...

    Ordered a peripheral for Microsoft Simulator on dec '05...66 days later I am still waiting for it (March 04th 2006). I have emailed Savastore countless times and received poor responses, as if trying to stall me.

    Although they advertise great prices, the stock is not in - I have heard it from other people too.

    I love shopping online - I do it all the time however don't waste your time or money using this company it will not pay off either way.

    Savastore - Go elsewhere.
    Bought a motherboard from them. Sold with having damaged packaging only. When I finally got the Mobo, it had obviously been returned from a previous buyer as the mounting bracket for the heatsink had been broken. I had to purchase a Zalaman fan unit which uses their own proprietry mountings at a cost of £23. When I wrote to Savastore, their response was... tough.

    Savastore's customer service is appalling. I have returned a faulty drive, and they have had it for 4 months (confirmed on their web site), and they haven't given me either my money back or a replacement drive. They have my money and my drive and do not answer emails regarding this. Going through with legal action is complicated and possibly expensive, but I guess I have no other option, as they must simply wait for customers to give up on their money.

    While Savastore offers a large range of products at competitive prices, in my experience if you ever need to use their Customer Services department you will regret going anywhere near them.

    I ordered a DVD player which arrived faulty, and I spent the following 6 weeks trying to get a replacement or refund.

    However, this proved a completely fruitless exercise due to the following:
    1) Any feedback I submitted via the website was not responded to.

    I placed an Order on the 4th November 2005 with Savastore, it is now 8th December 2005 and I'm still waiting for the motherboard. The majority of the components came OK, but i was misled for one of them (the sound card), as they stated on their website that they would have 3 in 2-5 days. About a week later I received an E-mail telling me that they do not stock this item anymore.
