For those who are looking at an gym, please do not use this gym. Here are the reasons for this: 1. The gym classes it's self as exclusive, do not believe this. The gym at best is above average and only due to the different equipment available. Many gyms are beginning to have all this equipment but less cost. 2. Once you have signed on the dotted line, you have a 3 month period if you decided not to go no more. Nearly all other gyms have 1 month period to leave. 3. The cost to go per month... (read more)

My favorite shirt was ruined by a faulty hanger at the Third Space. I complained to the manager on duty, Matt Julian, about the incident. He told me that he did not know what to do about that. I suggested he invest some time in experiencing services of any premium brand that the Third Space claims to be in order to figure out how to treat customers. In response he sent me an email saying that with the blessing of the CEO of the gym, Eric Maurice Dunmore, he terminates my membership for... (read more)

I think most of the reviews I've read are unfair and give a distorted view of the club. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. The classes are excellent. There is such a great range of classes, and class sizes are small. The trainers I've got to know are all very friendly and professional. The staff are very respectful of members' space, they are super polite and professional. The equipment is good and changed regularly. There might be the odd niggle but on balance you would... I've never seen such a bad attitude in a gym, trainers are ridiculously rude and inpolite. Everybody treats you like if they were the ones paying you. Worst experience ever. Even cheap small gyms are better than this. (read more)

Every bad review you have read describing the horrible attitude of the staff and management at Third Space rings true. It's one of the most expensive gyms out there but you have to suck up the bad attitude in every dealing youhave with them. They love themselves but they couldn't give a monkey's about the clients. It's one of those places where the staff are in a clique and they don't care about the customers. We cancelled all our corporate memberships after they cancelled a key part of... (read more)

They label themselves as a premier club, however they only charge premier. The service is horrible, there are no machines, and the overall attitude of the staff is awful, very snobby ! HORRIBLE PLACE. goto fitness first on baker street much better atmosphere, staff and value for money ! (read more)

Is this review in regard to the Soho or Marylebone branch of TTS? As the Marylebone branch only opened in April I am guessing this is Soho. Soho to Baker Street is a fair way to travel for a gym in my view!
I hate to be cynical but was this comment written by an employee at FF by any chance?

I have been a member for 18 months and it suits me as I do not need any support from the staff as I am experienced and know what I am doing. I have been a member of other clubs and they all have their shortcomings. Nowhere is or can be perfect. On the negative side, the sauna in the men's changing rooms is disappointing as it has not been switched on when I want to use it and when I press the alarm button it takes at least ten minutes for someone to attend. I have made comments to the... (read more)

Worst gym experience I have ever had. I've been a member here for almost a year and I will not be renewing my contract. I don't know where to start. The staff are incredibly incompetent and rude. Customer service is a joke. They basically sell you a very expensive membership and once they have you under contract do absolutely nothing to help or make sure you're happy. I have complained numerous times, calmly, diplomatically but they never get back to you. I spent a half hour in the office... (read more)

Membership just came to an end, and not renewing. Showers don't work, they don't keep the soap dispensers filled, steam room doesn't work, running machines don't work, and most of the staff don't care. To be fair, though, the reception staff are always friendly, so there is some improvement. But most of all - and here goes the unique selling point - the beautiful people have all moved on and have been replaced with cut-price David Brent office corporate membership people. Watch out for... (read more)

The Third Space has gone thorugh it's rough times, but in my experience, as soon as I have made a complaint or raised a concern they have already had plans on the way to rectify the situation and explained any reasons why it happened in the first place etc.
Since the older reviews, all the resistance equipment has been replaced, the male change area extended apparently, and the ladies shower ceiling has now been replaced- and without even closing the area off to members. No it didn't look...

If whomever owns the 3rd Space Gym has any pride at all they should sack every member of their rude and unhelpful staff, and start again. I've never paid so much for the 'priviledge' of being a member where you are treated with such hostility and blatent dis-interest.
I'd read about this gym for a number of years and thought I'd treat myself having previously been a member at Cannons and Holmes Place. What a waste of money. Currently trying to get an appointment with a personal instructor...

This gym has gone downhill so much since it first opened that after years of denying and trying to live with its shortcomings I will give in and give up to defend this place and look for a different venue. Many might still be impressed by the shiny looks of the interior, but be aware there is more to it and it is by no means any better then an average gym. Due to its massive difference in pricing one dares to hope it would be better here.

I've been a member of The Third Space for three years and can honestly say it's the best of the bunch. Slightly more expensive than others in the area but it compensates for that by offering an atmosphere that's far friendlier and more codusive to working out than any other I've used (try going along during their DJ spinning sessions - they have a live DJ pumping out sounds from their glass floor).
Check out their virtual tour at www.thethirdspace.com to see what I mean.

Upscale modern gym in three-level building right in the centre of town. Good range of weight machines and free weights; lots of classes; smallish swimming pool; various other facilities. Pricey, for sure - if you are considering joining then you either have a corporate deal or are feeling flush. Or perhaps you'll just be very keen to get fit and get your money's worth!
The gym is certainly at capacity on weekday evenings, but then only for a couple of hours; varying your visiting times is a...

First, to be fair, i am not a member of Third Space and have only paid one visit as a guest of a member. I am a member of Holmes Place.
First Impressions: Tatty and in need of some attention. The food / deli area was dirty and cramped and was like something akin to a railway fast food joint. Reception staff pleasant enough. Layout of the space is cramped and confusing with bad signage. Tiny stairways where you have to wait for whoever is going the opposite way to you to finish first....

If it wasn't for the staff, The Third Space would be a great gym. From receptionists to personal trainers, they are quite rude. They don't talk to you if you're straggling with a machine, don't help you and it's quite obvious they only do that for the money, not because they have a passion. Only a few of the staff are genuinely nice, but the rest need to be more down to earth and no attitude.
Shame for the staff, it's a beautiful gym!

The Third Space has a steam room which is fantastic for those detoxing and improving their skin, inside the women's changing rooms. It has a sauna too and the gym's shower products include Redken and Molton Brown. I love the The Third Space Gym, it's a great place! It definitely has great service. It's a shame that it costs so much to attend and this year's increase in membership has pushed me over the edge, but if I got the high paying job, I'd definitely join again! (read more)

The Third Space, Soho - Not a bad gym overall, but I certainly would not put it in the top 10 gyms in London. Quite a few famous people have gone there & expect you to move out of the way once they are using a certain piece of equipment. Trainers can be quite rude. Gay friendly. Quite a few members including myself have paid for training sessions which have not been fulfilled, which then results in having to use a different trainer. (read more)

Totally agree, the management of the third space need lessons "how to be polite or how to treat people in the service industry".
