“Be careful”

Don't get a connection flight with another air line from aer lingus as they claim they cannot print the boarding pads with that other airline, having made it to Dublin from London on a delayed flight, we have to get out in Dublin and go to check in with our airline and go back in to security and customs, easy said than done getting through all the lines which made us missed our flight to the USA. “overcharging for changing a booking”

We recently travelled to Toronto and were due to fly back on the 5th JUly(we thought). We even had out return bus ticket with us to travel back to Cork. We arrived at the airport in plenty time, went to check in, to be told we were 24 hours early. We were totally taken aback as we were sure we booked for the 5th July. “Inedible, overpriced on board food after 4.5 hour delay”

Frequent flier. After 4.5 hour delay ( no food vouchers offered ) charged €13.50 on board aircraft, for an overcooked, past use - by date 'toastie' and soggy, inedible, cheese/biscuits. On complaining, €10 refunded. Raised matter again with purser before leaving aircraft : patronising, argumentative and risible response. Poor, chaotic and inadequate response by Aer Lingus ground staff at Dublin Airport to weather delay, combined to make this one of the worst experiences in my over 50 years… Read Full Review

“They sold our seats!”

Aer Lingus sold our seats and charged us big time to fly home the next day! The service and food was adequate considering we got a good deal on round trip flights between SLC and Dublin. Rather it would have been a good deal if Aer Lingus didn't end up charging my $521 for two more tickets to return home. After getting a little lost in Dublin, we arrived at the airport with a little over an hour before our departure time. “ALWAYS DELAYED//BROKEN DOWN PLANES/DIVERSIONS/CANCELLATIO”

So frustrated by Aerlingus Cork/Glasgow route. My sister was delayed 1.5 hours today on her return to cork...reason given "advese weather conditions in UK". Checked Sky News, bulletins and weather forcast...no weather issues anywhere!!! Whilst waiting for the delayed hour and a half, noted that all flights from Glasgow with throughout the UK were flying on time etc.., so Aerlingus lying to customers again. “Discrimination”

I have made 2 official complaints about discrimination issues when boarding an Aer Lingus flight. I was promised by a flight attendant Deirdre that I would be contacted and never was. So now I am confident that Aer Lingus is a proponent for discrimination. Being from North America and now living in Europe flying with Aer Lingus once a week, I now realise that the is the norm and practice of this airline. “new terminal”

I just returned from Ireland on Sept 2nd,i have to comment on the new terminal,check in was ok,duty free was good, but after imagration clearance, disaster.The send you down stairs to nothing a little café,fast food,that took for ever,then to geta drink,the same long line little cheap plastic glasses,no ice.Who designed it.No Bar Sorry very poor setup,it makes Ireland look bad.Susan… Read Full Review

“Treat this airline like the plague, STAY AWAY FROM IT!”

Wow! In this day and age to have such a diabolical airline with such diabolical service is beyond belief. You are lured by an exceptional price offer, only to find out that is not the price AT ALL...... You pay your ticket, then you pay for your baggage (20 euro per piece) THEN and this is the real funny part, you have to PAY FOR YOUR SEAT! (5 euros extra). “Don't do it”

Aer Lingus sucks! 3 out of the 4 flights were late. Only one was boarded on-time. Absolutely zero customer service. Flight attendants and crew lied about delay times. One of our flights had to be diverted to get more fuel. This caused high the flight to miss connections, When we asked the flight crew for some info about the connections, all they would say is they have no info until we land in Dublin. “Baggage fight.”

Passengers should fight airlines charges on baggage and should demand a refund on the weight that they are not using. For example today I submitted my bag which weighted about 13 kilos, when I had paid for 20 kilos and I asked for a refund. Reasoning with the service person that they would charge me more if I was overweight so it's not unreasonable to ask for a refund when one is underweight. “THE WORST AIRLINE SERVICE!!!!”

Beware about this airline service, Aer Lingus the worst airline I've ever dealt with. I booked a ticket to Paris from NY a month before my trip and got the booking confirmation and final itinerary by email. On my day of trip, I went to the airport to check-in and they told me my ticket has been canceled because they had some issue with my credit card. “Super service!”

Was going to Dublin but my luggage got stolen on the way to the airport. Couldn't board the flight obviously, so I asked the staff to change my ticket even though I hadn't paid a cancellation fee. After a few calls they changed my outward ticket for a fee of 75 euros, and whished me Happy New Year. They really went out of their way to help me! Wow, that is not the experience I had. I was "late" for my flight even though I was there an hour before. The sold my seats, and charged me $1042 for my wife and I to fly home the next day, on our honeymoon.

“As good as it gets with airlines although issues remain. ”

There will be issues, but its much better than most airlines. TV on every seat with your own remote in coach is great. Food is great, service is good. Just keep in mind that this is not an american airline so if you call the US customer service center they take forever to get to you. That's the worst thing about them. Other than that, you may notice all the complaints are from people who want a flying palace. All airlines have issues especially related to weather and NO, they cannot fly you… Read Full Review

“Left in Boston”

After the hurricane in the United States, my wife and I were returning to the U.S. from Dublin, via Boston with a final destination of Phoenix, AZ. After arriving at the counter for our flight transfer in Boston, the agent told us the flight was cancelled to Phoenix with the next available flight out 5 days later. See 'Left in Boston'. I spoke with them and according to their customer service, leaving a person 2000+ miles from the final destination does not recommend a refund. Good luck...

“Aer Lingus treats passengers with contempt”

I was booked to fly back from Dublin to Bristol on Aer Lingus. We got on the bus to go to the plane (after passing security etc.) only to be told that the flight was cancelled because of bad weather. We rang Bristol and were told that the weather was just a bit drizzly but the visibility was fine. “Customer service-what a joke ”

I recently missed my fathers removal as I was 5 minutes late arriving at Aer Lingus's transfer desk in Heathrow terminal one after flying into terminal three from Dubai and as a result was not allowed to board my scheduled flight . Even when I explained the circumstances and why I needed to be on that particular flight I received no understanding and was essentially ignored by Aer Lingus staff.
