“Lost baggage 4-27-2013”

I lost my luggage on Pk 0711 from Lahore to NYC and there was no one avilable to help. After waiting more than two hours looking for my lauggage found a pia a staff member and filled out a claim form. P.S there were several other people who had missing baggage especially a handicap women fron C.T who was screaming at PIA staff. (read more)

On 01-March-2013 I traveled by PIA's flight PK764 from Frankfurt. I am a disabled person, I cannot walk or stand. I use my own mechanical foldable wheelchair. I was given assistance I needed in order to be transferred to my seat in the plane. At this point the cabin crew informed me that since I did not have my personal attendant with me. I flew with pia after 12 years thinking that it must have improved and I also wanted to fly direct and they are the only airline fm the uk to fly to Islamabad direct. I flew out on the 13th feb and flew back on the 24th feb. each way the plane was shabby and the in flight entertainment was not working at my seat. Some of the monitors worked, some didn't. Last week was my third and last time using PIA. Each one of my trips has been a nightmare worse than the last. I usually travel on other airlines, but this time I chose PIA again, even though I knew that I would regret it later. I was travelling for the first time with a baby, so I decided to take a direct flight. I Overall Love PIA Airlines, I've Always Been Travelling From PIA Airlines. There Are Other Airlines That Go Lahore Air blue But I Choose PIA. I've Been Travelling To Lahore From Heath-row Direct. Flights I tool from Lahore to Islamabad was late, my luggage bound for copenhagen was checked out and I had to check in again. That was painful as the duration left was on two hours, most of which got consumed by broken luggage scanners. Ground staff at Islamabad airport was extremely unfriendly, will never go through that airport again. Staff on the planes has been friendly throughout. Booked from Manchester to Lahore 24th Oct, 12 Business Class and paid £1265 (about £665 more than the Economy Class) Flight was advised to be late but were advised to check in by 10:00 pm. PIA lost my luggage on a direct flight from London to Karachi on 14th October 2012. At Karachi airport there was no help and no customer service. I filed a lost luggage report and have been waiting since for an answer. I have been back in the UK for 3 weeks now and everytime i speak with PIA Contact Centre, they are unable to help me. “Best airline for losing your luggage.”

Pia and their ground staff has managed to make an already stressful journey for my old parents hell not once but twice. Never taking into consideration the age and ability of passengers they lost my mothers luggage after which she refuses to fly with them anymore. They are never helpful on ground and even took excess baggage dues from us as well. “Canceled my flight without warning”

Terrible terrible Terrible!! I booked a flight through them in October of 2011 for a flight from Barcelona to Chicago in May 2012. In March 2012 I decided to check on the flight status on their website only to find out that the flight had been canceled!! No email was ever sent warning me about this...just...canceled. Pakistan international airline was one of the most profitable organization in pakistan but in last few years their customer service become so poor as they can not compete with international airlines.They fares are high as compare to the customers Services and hospitality on board are not compatible. I like the attitude of the passengers but i dont like the attitude of stuards and air hostess's.They should have smile on their faces rather than ignorance.I hope it can be improved. (read more)

I got warning of cancelled flight I booked in November 2011 one week before my trip may 2012 that the flight is cancell. How terrible is this. Why would people have to deal with such poor customer service. According to PIA the US cancelled the flight out of chicago. Why the US did not make other arrangement for us that book this flight to aboard another flight out of chicago. This is not good.

PIA lost my luggage. They did not investigate or compensate me for several months. I ended up suing them in NY court and finally got their response. Unprofessional customer service. I have had customer service reps hang up on me in regards on me trying to find my bag. (read more)

I have been traveling all my life for both pleasure and business for the past 35 years. I have been to many countries and have used many airlines so have plenty of experience on good or bad.
Therefore I am rather surprised on some of the reviews here and am wondering on the authenticity of these reviews. I don't know any one personally who has traveled with PIA and has anything decent to say about the airline in fact I can guarantee that PIA can easily win the award for being the worst...

Really impressed with the service I got on PIA. It looks they are finally ready to return back to the good old days when it was one of the best airlines in the world. Flight was slightly late departing however once on board everything was superb. Very helpful cabin crew, beautiful Pakistani food and comfortable.
I was able to prebook my seats on the PIA website and the baggage allowance of 40KG per person is superb. Had to give the call centre in Karachi a call the day before flying to...

you wouldn't get Alcohal drinks. Also you wouldn't get As much food as Emirates and Ettihad, but then you pay less.

Traveled on Boeing 777 worldliner from JFK to Lahore. I wish PIA has seating configuration online. I don't like the fact that they hold the backseats until the front of the plane is sold out. I selected the seats close to the first class at the front of the plane which was packed from seat to seat but after a while I visited the back portion and saw people sleeping by taking up all three seats.

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly, helpful and professional team of young male air cabin crew on the PK 710 flight to Pakistan. I didn't remember this leg of the journey the last time I had travelled to Pakistan on PIA.

As usual the flight was delayed for unknown reason. When landed at RYK airport, passangers were informed after 30 mins of waiting for luggage that their luggage was not loaded for "technical reasons" and hence they will get their luggage on 22nd January 2010, after 6pm.
No facilitation was offered to passangers at airport regarding their stay,comfort and cloths etc.
There was no definite answer to the fact how the luggage will be delivered to passangers?

Having travelled on PIA airlines many times I have found that their level of service has improved considerably over the years. Having just come back from Pakistan I can clearly say there was nothing to fault the airline. Good food, clean plane and surprisingly the cabin crew staff were extremely helpful too. I highly recommend www.wokingtravelcentre.co.uk as PIA airlines appointed travel agents for tickets. Very professional and accept credit card payments. (read more)

You cannot buy PIA air tickets online from the PIA website but however you can over the phone. Its still cheaper to get a ticket from one of their appointed travel agent. Highly recommend are www.wokingtravelcentre.co.uk, Wooking Travel Centre. Very thorough and professional. Can take payments by credit cards. You do have to fill a pro forma though. (read more)

I have been travelling on many airlines, Malaysian, Thai, Egypt air, Cathay pacific and Turkish airlines and found PIA among the best air lines. Staff is very very good on board however ground staff (boarding people) need some training.
Else it has some very good air craft you enjoy the journey with comfortable landings. Food is Ok!!! Needs to improve customer service on boarding and food! All well.

I think if PIA airline crew will learn more manners and learn how to give good service maybe it does have a chance that Pakistani people will not fly anymore with Gulf or Emirates or Itehaad airlines and will join PIA! But its all up to PIA itself. I hope in the future the PIA will take some lessons from other airlines and will become something to be proud of it.

People say:- it smells bad, the staff is unfriendly and it's uncomfortable. I say if it's as horrible as you say, why were you on it in the first place? The flight was fine, the food is actually pretty good and the staff are nice if you don't act like an annoying passenger. The only thing that I can say after flying PIA several times is that they should be more consistent (time and security wise) and I don't know, turn up the heat or something. (read more)

Two days prior to departure, I went to the head office in Islamabad and had my ticket confirmed. At the time, a lot of flights were being cancelled because of the EU blacklisting. The next two days, every morning I called them and was told my flight is on schedule. The flight was great nothing to complain about, also the landing and take off was next to perfect and the landings even better, the other thing is that the food was great acually and not bad like every one says it is. The food on Pakistani International was bad, the air hostesses were stuck up and had serious attitude problem. They seem to think they have the highest paid jobs than us people,which is total rubbish. They dont know how to treat kids,they didn't offer children any games to play, which you get with Emirates and plenty other airlines. the toilets were dirty, water spilt on floor,seats were dirty and smelt. Pakistan International has poor customer service, un helpful staff, really in active air hostess, not multilingual at all.
You can still wait for hours to take off even boarded on the plane. poor toilet hygiene conditions
