    Cathay Pacific cancelled my flight which has been booked for months. I cannot change to another suitable scheduled flight as they are all full, and while I will of course receive a full refund, this will take "up to 8 weeks to process"!!! I made sure I booked early so I got a reasonably priced flight (

    Staff do not smile. Spilt drink on to me and did not apologise. Staff not courteous. No water in toilets at rear of plane. Would not use

    I flew Cathay Pacific Economy from Singapore to HKGA to Rome and back. The seats were terrible, it was a slide out seta type. The food and service was good, I have no complains. The entertainment system was very good, the latest movies, music and variety was very good.

    Cathay Pacific is definitely the best airline in the world. Great "real" staff instead of just robots.
    Great fares. Great people. Going the extra mile.

    Overall Cathay Pacific are a wonderful airline and i would surely fly them again any time. Great new product, friendly and neat crew.
    The seats were fantastic and the food better then any other airlines i have ever tasted. Entertainment was wonderful.
    Economy seats has more space than the majority of the other carriers. Business class seats are wonderful and the crew service awesome.

    Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our connecting flight. They tried putting us on another flight leaving 11 hours later as all other earlier leaving flights were fully-booked with a waiting list. As it is not our fault that they have planned their flight schedules so poorly, not to mention overbooked. After much complaining, we were put on a flight that cuts our wait time to 7 hours.     On my flight from australia to hongkong, the flight got delayed 4 hours because of engine failure, and on my flight from hong kong to taiwan using dragon air, it also got delayed again .....i would never ever fly with cathay. I've been to hongkong and the country got the worst service attitude in the world.

    Cathay must be now one of the worst airlines in the world when it comes to handling its customers on the phone. I thought Qantas was the worst, but this airlines takes the gold medal. I have spent two months ago 45 minutes for them to answer the call and again today they have taken 33 minutes, so they did not break their own record.     10 years ago, my carry on luggage was not right size after I have flew a few other airlines with no trouble, but not ok to take it as my last stop of my trip in HK airport. I was forced to take things out and checked in an empty luggage.Oct. 2008, I flew the same airline again in business class, transferred at HK to NY.     Seats not comfortable on a long haul. Service indifferent, not personal in business class; no refills of champagne when requested; very disappointed with Cathay Pacific for the price paid.

    Everything was fine except in delhi airport I was told my bag was more than 36 kg, I insisted that it is not more than 36kg but they did not agree and didn't behave gently and said if you will not take out your items you will miss your flight. Then after taking items out I went to counter their was another guy who waited and said to me it is less and you could put more items in!!     The Cathay Pacific customer service is very poor. The US Centralized Reservations Number doesn't work, I have trying to reach them from past two day. My wife with my two kids(3 & 10 years old) were literally held in Honk Kong airport who arrived from Bangalore and supposed to take a flight (CX 888) to JFK, US.     From all the airlines, I liked Cathay Pacific the most. They have the best airline food in my opinion, the service is good, as is their customer relation and timetable.

    From my experience it is an excellent airline and I hope to fly with them again. I feel fortunate that because of over booking with Qantas - due to one of their flights being cancelled - I had the opportunity of flying with Cathay Pacific. I would also like to add that the help I received from their employees at the desk at Hong Kong was excellent - particularly from a young man who went out of his way to ensure that my transfer from my flight on British Airways from London went smoothly and ...

    My boyfriend and I booked business class Heathrow-Hong Kong-Auckland return 21/1/08- 20/02/08. No queue at check-in, friendly staff, lounge at lhr small but nice. Lounge in Hong Kong is amazing! Seats on the aircraft were the old style 3 of the 4 flights and they were very comfortable, plenty of room. Flight attendant's really nice and addressed you by name.     It was the worst airlines I have ever tried and I have been on all kinds of flights long distance and short. I been on almost all Europe airlines because I travel from Canada so I have to take these, but through all my trips never been on worst then Cathay Pacific and I do hope no one else goes through that terrible experience as I have.

    Generally good service; hot food and wine served in economy (even from Vancouver to New York). Individual entertainment screens help pass the time. Decent vegetarian food. Have traveled to Hong Kong and New York from Vancouver. This is the best airline to take if flying economy on either of these routes. Service is pleasant and the flights are generally on time.

    Cathay Pacific has a reputation as a high quality airline but this was not my experience. The film/TV package is antiquated as films could not be stopped and restarted and the selection is severely limited and outdated.
