This is the worst airline I have ever used...ever! I am furious that I can't even leave a more elaborate review because of the minimum space given. I have too much to say but I guess I will just have to sum it up. I felt like the flight attendants were the most rude and obnoxious people, especially the male flight attendants. I cant complain about everything because of the lack of space given but I will be heard about at least this much. I have never seen anything like this before. The worst of the worst was this F.A. named Michael. Tall, thin, older gentlman with grey hair and glasses. He was so rude to everyone, especially the japanese people. He was rude, and nasty to anyone who requested anything from him, especially the japanese man sitting next to me. His english wasnt the greatest, so Michael made it his business to make this man uncomfortable. I am shocked that this airline is ran the way that it is...just shocked. If it were my airline and I saw this flight attendant in action for five minutes...I would terminate him on the spot. Like I said before, they were all horrible but Michael was by far the nastiest. There was one asian lady...dressed in a pink suit, and her hair in a french twist who looked professional and was extremely polite, but she was the only one. One person on the entire flight with common decency and tact. I will never fly northwestern again.

This trip included seven flights. Four of them ran one hour late. One I was ask to layover due to overbooking and weight overload. Very aggrevating flights.

Northwest Airlines. I booked this flight for my wife and I in March, nearly six months before the actual departure date - I could not get seat assignments at the time. When I finally did get seat assignments, a few days before the flight, on two of the three connecting flights we were taking home, my wife's seat and my seat were in different sections of the plane. She is very afraid of flying and I continually try to comfort her during flights, not sitting beside her made this impossible. She to ...

I flew from Philadelphia to Cedar Rapids Iowa with a connection each way so that totals 4 flights with Northwest Airlines...one out of the four flights were on time. All of the NWA workers were absolutely rude!!! As if I was getting paid to sit on the flight(3 hours on the runway at one point) and they were being forced to work. On my way home I had to sit with a man who was so fat that he couldn't even put the armrest down, he literally took up half of my seat! I had to lean into the aisle and ...

I purchased my northwest ticket over the phone for my husband 62 year old aunt whom was also our live in Nanny. The trip was from San Diego, Ca to Minnesota. When she arrived at the airport she was told that the the trip was done backwards. From minnesota to California so she was not able to take the flight and had her ride take her to the greyhound. Since then I have been trying to get her money back and we keep being told that because it is a non refundable ticket it does not matter if there a ...

It is 5:15pm at this time. I am currently stuck at Chicago's O'hare international airport flying with Northwest Airlines and so far I hate this airline. First of my flights departure is going to be late by 40 mins (not too long) but I have a connecting flight at detroit MI at 8:35. I will miss my connecting flight. As per a very rude and unprofessional member of staff, there will be no hotel accomedations, no other connecting flight untill the next morning and no food vouchers provided. So where ...

By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered is at northwest. My 45 minute layover in Detroit turned into sitting on the runway for 3 hours waiting for take off. Towards the end of those 3 hours we were finally cleared for takeoff only to be told we needed to go back to the gate to re-fuel. Upon arriving at the gate the captain comes out to tell us NorthWest had cancelled our flight. There was a quick moving thunderstorm that lasted about 20 minutes, yet NorthWest listed this as the ...

I have traveled internationally twice by Northwest Airlines. The first time, the airlines changed the flight time and did not inform me. Luckily, I called up the airlines and found the time was changed by 8 hours!

Second time, the airlines did not provide the food requested as per dietary restrictions. On top of that, the air hostess was rude and called me fussy- the rudest staff ever seen.

Recently, I heard from someone who noticed that the airline counters have inaccurate weighing machines. ...

Customer service of northwest airlines is really bad. Please don't think that you will get answers of all your questions when you call customer service. The customer service representatives are not at all polite. They don't accept if there is any mistake from their part. On the other hand they would accuse you of lying. I have experienced this not only one time but multiple times. If Northwest wants people to travel through their airlines they should first improve their customer service especial ...

On our flight to Honolulu, our connecting flight was late. NWA knew we were a little late but closed the gate door on us 10 minutes before the flight time. We arrived 9 minutes before and could see them close the door. They refused to let us on. They told us to take it up with Alaska because their flight was late and it was their problem.

On the return flight, they did not book us in seats together despite having empty rows that they were trying to sell just before the flight.

    After sendin ...

Having read some of the comments about NWA on this site we were a bit apprehensive.I am glad to say that we had a very good flight from London Heathrow to Orlando via Detroit.with no problems at all, everything went to plan and we were delighted .Cabin staff were efficient and friendly and we have nothing but praise for this airline and would definitely use them again.

During my Asian flights with Northwest Airlines, the flight attendants were extremely nice and helped me whenever needed and my plane was always on time. Overall, it was somewhat enjoyable.

I would never deal with Northwest Airlines again. I booked the air ticket through their website, however I found the price drop next day. I called them for price match. They told me that the low price guarantee is only good for 24hrs. They should clearly tell their customers when they claim the lowest price guarantee.

Recently took a Osaka-Tokyo-Detroit-Houston-flight with Northwest Airlines. Osaka flight ended late by one hour, barely making the next leg. Tokyo-Detroit was in a non-updated, filthy (dirty) Boeing 747 with no personal video display. Staff were quick to service at needed intervals, but did little more. Food ranged from "good" to "completely inedible." Detroit-Houston was a good flight with a well-servicing flight staff and on-time.

After reading comments i was really concerned about flying with Northwest Airlines and the service that i would receive on a long haul flight.

The airline staff were excellent and i would fly NWA as my first choice to america. The seats were comfy and the seat back tvs kept the children occupied for the full flight.

The choice of inflight entertainment was suitable for all ages.

Travel should be enjoyable....and at the very least, you should feel indifferent about the experience. My NWA experience left me filled with fury & anger...cancellations happen and I accept this. However I expect HELP from the airline... The attitude from some of the NWA staff when I raised the issues about the quality of their service wasn't very good.Thankfully we were able to transfer to another organisation.
