This gun feels like what a .45 pistol should feel like. It is balanced and even when firing and has minimal kick.I am impressed with this gun.Great weight and feelTrigger is comfortable and just the right squeeze weightVery accurate whether on pedestal or free arm.
Clip is lessor quality than the rest of the gun. Just don't like the plastic foot.

The mag release button gets depressed if you set the thing on a hard surface. this is not good. I'm taking it to a gunsmith to see if there's a simple fix. I may also put in a metal trigger of some sort. other than that this thing is extremely accurate and just plain ol' feels good in the hands. I also love the weight.- Read BLUE 73's review (80 words)

My Pxt 14 Gun rights addition is a nice gun with some useful features. I like the new power extractor, it does a very good job in kicking out the brass. It shot great right out the box and should not require any major "tweeking"- Read Guest's review (57 words)

I wish I could have brought my Para-ordnance P14-45 to Iraq with me. It is by far the best gun I have ever owned. I have put about 5,000 rounds through it with no problems. The weight reduces recoil making it kick less than my .40 cal, plus you just can't go wrong with 14 rounds of .45. A pair of Hogue grips is all the customizing you will ever need.- Read Chemo's review (88 words)

I have owned 1911's throughout my youth and my adult life and I can say that this Para-ordnance P14-45 may be the best 1911 clone ever made. I was an armorer and military small arms specialist in the service and have been custom building 1911's since 1975. I have never been able to get the accuracy and reliability from a factory 1911 that I can from my custom built ones. I can say the P14-45 is as good as any 1911 that I have ever built. "GOOD JOB PARA"- Read dbradley's review (134 words)

Overall, the P-14 is an outstanding firearm. Well worth the money. It has served me without fail or malfunction for almost two years. The Para Ord. P-14 is, overall, one of the best handguns that I have ever shot. It is an ideal trail weapon, and can also serve with distinction as a reliable duty piece. Not a great handgun to take with you if you intend to be underwater for long periods of time. It's 1911 A1 design makes it not the ideal choice for river combat situations.- Read Alex Menashe's review (88 words)

The Para-ordnance P14-45 is the best gun I have ever bought. The cost is a bit high. I have the double stack, however, I agree it is worth every penny. This gun has never failed me. It has a controllable light kick. For a woman, the weight is strong and it fits perfectly in my hand. It has a perfect balance which I feel very comfortable with.- Read doe fluit's review (77 words and 1 comment)

Overall, the Para-ordnance P14-45 is a great pistol for personal defense, competition and law enforcement. Its a little unaffordable but ita all worth it. Its a very high-quality 1911 style pistol,Smooth operation and accurate. Dissasemblig and re-assembly is ok too. I recommend this pistol to anyone who needs a gun for personal defense, competition and law enforcement.- Read me myself's review (73 words)
