Good Points: Excellent power, exceptional accuracy for a 'stock' gun, feels solid and durable with no loose screws or parts.
Bad Points: None that I can currently think of.
General comments: The Crosman Quest 1000 is an excellent buy for its price. When I first purchased the air gun, got it home to shoot, there was an exceptionally loud explosion like that of a .22 shooting, but has since died down. One of the other reviewers suggested cleaning the rifle with a better lubricant to get rid of the explosion generated by the gases. Seems sound and wouldn ' t hurt to try. I was very impressed with the air guns accuracy with 'iron sights' and was able to do 1/2" groupings at 10 yards no problem, which should be shrunk with more practice on my part. I have already read some reviews stating that the scope is crud. It may be, or it may not, just depends on how well it was made in the factory I suppose, mine seems to be holding its dope just fine so far. I'd recommend this rifle for older shooters simply because it ' s on the heavy side, as air guns go, with a good pull on the barrel to cock it. Again, that ' s a recommendation, not a requirement. I originally purchased this to take care of some rodents and a particular rabbit eating my crops. After seeing its groupings and power, I am confident it will take care of the varmints easily. I am very pleased with this air rifle.

I bought the Crosman Quest 1000 rifle because I needed something for pest control since the rabbits and groundhogs, squirles and chipmunks. So far have had no complaints. As said in some other reviews you need to find the right ammunition first. I have had the most success with crossman premier round nosed 7.8 grain rounds. I am able to hit bottle caps at 50 plus yards and have taken a rabbit at nearly 100. I do recommend a more powerful scope for shooting at those distances though and some ...

For all those who are planing to buy the Crosman Quest 1000 or any other Crosman made in China, do not forget to clean and remove the original lubrication on the rifle and replace it with a silicon based lube. This way you will eliminate the explosion heard on the firsts shots that resemble a .22 rim fire gun shot and save the cilinder seal. This explosion is caused by a "Diesel effect" inside the cilinder when the air is compressed mixed with the original lubrication grease/oil (with a petroleum ...

The Crosman Quest 1000x is a great air gun for both adult and younger people. I bought this air rifle for my 12 year old son and so far I am completely happy with the results of the safety, accuracy and overall performance, but I would not use this rifle for medium game hunting such as fox, as a pest removal it will work from mice to small raccoons. Although it is not extremely powerful, you must treat every gun as if it were cocked and loaded. I recommended this air gun to anyone 12 and up wh ...

I'm surprised by the negative reviews that the Crosman Quest 1000 gun has recieved. I bought this gun because I had a pest problem, but quickly realized that it might be a bit too powerful. The wadcutter ammo I bought would completly penetrate the 7/8ths thick peice of pine I used as a backstop at about 20 feet (it even penetrated a penny at about 10 feet), so you want to be aware of your back ground when shooting.
I'm no marksman by any means, but I found the sights to be very accurate. Afte ...

i had the Crosman Quest 1000 just 4 months, after around 1500 shots the piston spring broke in some pieces. i don't think it worth to spend money on this gun, what you pay what you get, think about it.

The Crosman Quest is INACCURATE without a scope. Very powerful at its price. Others say the stock scope is worthless they just don't know how too sight it. Maybe can kill a fully grown cockapoo dog. Awesome with squirrels and birds etc.

The Crosman Quest 1000 is good value. I own a Gammo Big Cat that is a great air rifle. I wanted to pick up a cheap breakbarrel for my 12 year old to shoot with me so I picked up a Crossman Quest 1000. After switching out the stock scope I found this gun does not like certain pellet designs. Hollow point and flat nosed pellets are all over. Pointed and rounded nose pellets hit good. Gammo PBA ammo made mine a tack driver at 50 yards. I have now had the gun for over a year and have taken many tr ...

Bought this Crosman Quest for shooting squirrels and for messing around. The stock scope does not work at all for accuracy, but after I bought a new one I literally can shoot a peanut from 50 yards. I have dropped many squirrels from long range, some while they were jumping through the trees. People that are leaving bad reviews about this pellet gun's accuracy should know that the gun is accurate, they just need a new scope. That or they don't know how to shoot a gun.

I bought this gun and i didn't use it for a while but now im bored so i pulled it out and shot it. Its pretty good but don't get bebes becuase if you aim down the bullet while just slide out of the barrel. Also if your looking to shot rodents or something this is not the right gun. I tried to shot a rodent but the bullet just bounced off the thing and it ran away. I would recommend this gun to a person that is not really in to guns but they like to shot.

I'm no expert shot, but I can put three rounds into a circle about the size of a 50 cent piece with my Remington Model 70 at 100 yards. However, I'm lucky to get three rounds into a paper plate at 15 yards with this thing. Trying to sight the thing in is a joke, its all over the target, even at close range! I had planned to use it as a challenging way to go squirrel hunting, but I'd be wasting my time.
I do NOT recommend this gun.

AWFUL...target better be huge or u better be close. Looks good. power is good if u can get it where u want it. a regular bb went through 2 pillows and a wool blanket backdrop. so yeah it will hurt if getting hit by one.
The Crosman Quest 1000 air rifle didnt come with any manuals. after recently coming back from iraq and being in the infantry i felt i knew my way around rifles. from zeroing iron sights to zeroing lasers and scopes. but this weapon kicks my butt. these sights are plastic and mov ...

I would not recommend thw Crosman Quest 1000 rifle for heavy serious use or target shooting. On mine, the screws loosen often causing the zero to change. The rifle spring seems to have lost power reducing it to more than half its fps so it needs to be repaired and it is just over a year that I purchased it so it is out of warranty.

This air rifle was a total waste of money. I bought this Crosman Quest 1000 air rifle for rodent control. The problem is that you have to get close enough to grab the squirrel to get consistent groups. Beyond 15 feet you are better off using it as a club. I have owned it for 2 years and have taken many opportunities to get the iron sights and scope zeroed. It is all over the paper (and half don ' t hit the paper) at 15-20 yards. It is a piece of junk!!!
