Good Points: Great rooms and a personal service from the members of staff.

Bad Points: Meat food isn't all that, but that's down to American meat tasting different to British meat. I guess you can't blame them for that?

General comments: I booked the hotel using an online hotel booking service, the cheapest one I found was priced at £227 per night from Hotels Net. If your only going to do New York once? Do it properly with this hotel.

The hotel was everything I expected and more with large rooms and internet access.

The best bit was the bed! After a day of walking around New York, there's nothing better than a good size comfortable bed.

Quality Hotel is excellent value for money - well located with good transport nearby. Good range of local shops and value cafes.

Room was clean and warm (very cold outside) - don't go if you expect a 5* hotel for a budget price. This was an excellent base for sightseeing and travelling - wouldn't recommend if you are going to spend most of your time in the hotel, as there is no bar/restaurant and lounge etc.

Only paid £375 for 6 nights at Quality Hotel which is quite good, but I must say was slightly appalled by the condition of the rooms. Doors didn't look as if they would shut properly and didn't look as though anyone ever hovered under the bed.
Other that that New York was great and it was so east to get to Central Manhattan from this hotel. The subway was about 30 seconds away and we just bought a 7 day metro pass for $21 and that is for unlimited use of buses and metros.
    Good base if ...
