TERRIBLE CARD, TERRIBLE SERVICE, ABUSIVE PAST DUE FEES. I pay regularly, faithfully on the first of every month, and still get past due fees. I just shredded the card!!!!! Would NEVER recommend it.

Capital One Platinum is the worst credit company that anyone could ever work with, I would never ever recommend this credit card company not even to my worst anemia if i had one. all they did was to screw with me. i owed them $954 and i payed them $900 on the due that, after a couple of days i payed them the rest. For doing that i was expecting the balance of 0.00, but only to find out they charged me $54.75 again. when i call them to ask about it. only they did was to give me a crapy expla ...

Requested a credit card from Capital One - "The No Hassle" credit card...

Received a Platinum credit card, but it had a credit limit of only $1000. We kept maxing out the card so we would pay it off multiple times each month. We asked each month to have the credit limit increased, but they said the card was too new.

Once we reached 1 year with the card, the $29 annual fee showed up on the statement. We tried one final time to have the limit increased and they said no. So we canceled the ca ...

    Horrible company! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!
Have been withthe company for years and all of a sudden not receving statements then having to call customer Service with NO HELP!! Very rude!
Have alerts set up so they would alert me od overlimits or etc... However, never received an alert just additional fees...

I just got capital one card yesterday with $ 1000 credit limit. I activated my card and used it then I wanted to use it again but it declined. I called them They said I need to send more paper work until then it will be on hold. My question is why send me a card if you need more paper work. For $ 1000 not worth.

After about three years they decided because of economic conditions they had to raise my rates. They raised them from 8.99 % to 13.99 %. A full 5 % raise. So much for a fixed rate card. Now my daughter has a Capital One card and the variable rate went from about 10 % to 17.9 %. I don't know what's in your wallet, but Capital One will no longer ever be in mine again!!!

This company is the worst I have come across. There customer service is so bad, all there so called customer service managers just fob you off on the phone if you have a problem and when you call up later about it they have no idea whats going on, I have had so many problems with this company they have lost my bank details twice and said they never got then even though they have been sent recorded by the post office.
I regret having a credit card with them and will be stopping anything to do wit ...

I had my Capital One platinum visa for 6 months before I started having problems, several times my card was declined for unknown reasons and then when I would call them and there would be a hold on my account, they would tell me that I placed the hold on it, which i never did. I never missed a payment, and I was no where close to the limit. I would remove the supposed hold with them over the phone and then several weeks later I would have to go through the entire process again. I eventually just ...

In October 2007 I received a mailer from Capital One that offered 0% APR for life on balance transfers. I read over all the fine print to make sure that there were no hidden requirements, then applied online and was accepted. I transferred about $18,000 of high interest debt from other cards. I began making monthly payments and was succeeding in lowering my debt. Then, in April 2008 I received a letter from Capital One that said "oops, we messed up, your rate was supposed to be 5.9% APR, sor ...

Once you have gone through Bangalore and have them returned you to a UK Call centre the service was excellent. I was credited immediately for a faulty purchase from the rogues at Dixons.

Just tried to go through a online application. This is after they mail me all the time trying to get me to apply. So after submitting the application it said @sorry your application is till been processed' 'this will take no longer than 60 seconds to complete please refresh the page for your decision' after 10mins and endless refreshes i rang them.

Ow what a joke that was.

They provide a free credit check through Equifax then charge you for it! Now try getting the charge removed - if you are lucky. Don't bother talking to their call centre - they are not very helpful. Insist on talking to a rep in the UK. They are a bit better but still awful service. Only hope that you don't get in to a problem otherwise good luck! Bad service just another credit card company. If they could just improve their customer service...!

I have had my Platinum card for many years and have had no trouble with it at all. When on holiday my wife's card was stolen, the thieves got nothing from the account and the card was replaced very quickly. They even offered to get an emergency card to me in the South of France that day. Since then they have rung me to confirm large payments, odd payments (such as car hire in south australia and food purchase in France on the same day). i am happy with their service and I feel the card is se ...

I had a bad experience in the initial start of my credit establishment. My ex husband took my credit cards (3 of them) and maxed them out, and left me the card holder responsible for thousands upon thousands owing in debt. I recently paid off (settled) with the collection agency about 8 months ago, and asked for a credit history and rating from Equifax. Obviously, the results were not good. Capitol One gave me a second chance to rebuild my credit. I give them the most respect for giving an hones ...

unreasonable increase in APR* in my opinion, charge annual free in spite of the card being a no annual fee card. I would die out of poverty but never take a capital one card or loan

I have been a capital one member since 2003. I am very happy with them. I have never been late or gone over my limit. I have never had a problem with capital one. I did go through a little hardship and almost fell behind on my card payments, but capital one worked with me without ruining my credit score!

Every card has its ups and downs. It all depends on the consumer and how they handle them.

I've been with Capital One now for over 5 years. Recently, I changed banks. I had to enter my new bank account and routing numbers online, which I did, and mistakenly typed in a wrong number on the routing. I made a payment, and it was returned with no explanation. I made another payment and it was also returned, again, no explanation. When I contacted them as to what might be the problem, they wouldn't read me back what I had typed, so I had to retype everything and THEN the payments started go ...

New customers of Capital One get a better deal than a 10+ year valued customer, where is the logic?? Was a great customer for over 10 years, always on time, charged thousands of dollars of stuff. Then all of a sudden one day they raised my apr from 6.9% fixed to 15.75% variable and changed the 30 day grace period to a 25 day grace period. This happened totally out of the blue. I called them, and all they said was you have another month to agree to the terms or "opt out" which basically meant ...
