A product that I would happy is the JCB garden vac. It has a motor of 2000w that provides adequate suction to lift wet leaves which are stuck to the ground. At first, I thought the collection bag was too thin, but it does a great job of mulching, and it's surprising how much it carries.

Cannot understand gardeners who just have a blow facility. We like to vacuum the leaves up much tidier job! Lend it to family who are equally impressed. Only one snag, a hole has appeared in the bag, can I replace it with a spare please? The cable is a good length too, and the end rresult goes in the compost bin so an ideal tool for any gardener

Always been difficult to start. Phoned customer service- Useless. Took it to my local garden machinery dealer, he frowned when I approached the counter with 'the machine' in my hand. His words were "They didn't do their good name any good when they allowed it to be put on this pile of ....." £30 later and it still wouldn't start.

Can only agree with all the other reviews, looks like they've stopped manufacturing this pile of junk, not surprised as it's bulky, heavy, awkward and blows heat straight into your body. No matter how I position the strap around me I just can't keep hold of it for more than a few minutes. It does suck/blow quite well but it's so unwieldy it's unbelievable and to top it all the zip on the bag has broken (not for the first time) and I can't find a replacement bag anywhere. Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish - stick to making diggers and putting your name to boots JCB.

The object of a leaf blower is to blow or suck up leaves .. to do that it has to work .. after very little use the micro switch burnt out .. this seems to be an ongoing problem with them it got so hot the handle has melted and would have caught fire I have no doubt .. A heap of expensive unreliable junk. and to me the worst bit Dangerous. what do I like about it .. the colour . it looks good on the scrap heap.

The maufacturer's must know it's difficult to start. There are a multitude of instructions on the machine telling what to do to start it including a contact number if you don't manage it. Most kit of this type you usually have to just prime, choke and pull and hey presto it starts. Not with this machine. I've now given up hope with it. JCB's good name will be damaged turning out equipment like this.

It has taken me 3 hours to try to get my JCB-BV26 petrol blower/vac started and so far i have not managed to get it started. To say i am put out is an understatement - i thought a JCB product would be better than this. I have been over the manual several times now, have read all the trouble shooting points and assembly instructions and i have even had a neighbour have a look to see if he could get it running. I have now got sore hands from the pull cord, my garden is still full of leaves and i have now given up trying to use the leaf blower. Are these machines fully assembled and running before they leave the factory? i suspect not as i do not know how mine would have passed this test.

The on/off microswitch burned out after only one season. Trying to get a replacement was impossible!

After the JCB Garden Vac I would not buy another JCB branded product It did not perform as promised and was a let down. AdviceL AVOID and spend your hard earned money on a better product.

The bag on my JCB Garden Vac is not replaceable not even from the manufactures address in the manual. I phoned and was told the replacement bag was £7.96 so sent for two with a cheque on the 17-11-08.
Not having received the bags, I phoned them and they now say they have discontinued this product and the bags are no longer available, Have not received my cheque back either from Pulse Home Products Ltd

I will soon need a new collection bag for my JCB Garden Vac as the it is prone to clogging up as the throat into the collection bag seems too small.

I think it must be the most inefficient leaf collector ever invented and I was refused a return my money.

Very Poor Performance. I also have a JCB petrol strimmer which isn't much better. The JCB Garden Vac is less than 4 months old, so I shall be returning it to Makro ASAP.
I'll never buy another JCB tool again. Almost as bad as Nu-Tool rubbish.

The JCB garden vac is a product that I would happily recommend. It has a 2000w motor which provides enough suction to lift wet leaves which are stuck to the ground.
At first I thought that the collection bag was too small, but the mulching does an excellent job, and it's surprising just how much it holds.
As is usually the case with JCB garden products, the wiring and switches give a look and feel of quality. There were a couple of very minor finishing issues when the package was opened, but they were easily sorted in seconds.
As has been the case with any garden vac that I've used, the shoulder strap is uncomfortable and is not particularly useful, but the support wheel makes up for this.
Overall this is good value for money, and it does a good job.

I just picked up a JCB Garden Vac for £45 off Amazon and I'm pretty chuffed. It does what it's supposed to and beats raking up your leaves a million times over. I've not had it too long so I can't say if it lasts or not but I think it should. Anyway here's its vital statistics:
- 2 speeds
- 2000 watt motor
- 9:1 mulch ratio
- 40 litre collection bag
You just can't argue with all that for £45 can you?
