The Sony PSP is nice to have if you you are doing long bus/train journeys, they have a good batterylife and can be turned on and off quickly. Psps also fit snugly in pockets etc. as they are so small. What I have found with mine, where it gets carried about, the screen seems very easy to mark. (read more)

Got mine for christmas, love it.
Not a great game player, poker and puzzles mostly find shoot 'em ups a bit difficult!
Very useful for films and music on the train, the internet browser is useful but limited on memory, better than my mobile though.
Must have gadget!

I used to have the PSP 1000 and all it was great except for the battery life and the weight. I traded it for a Nintendo DS but I couldn't get into the Nintendo DS, so i sold it to my friend, which now has a PSP and he doesn't touch the DS. I recently got the God of War PSP, a 1 gig memory stick and Socom: FIreteam Bravo 2. I LOVE THEM! I have at least 45 songs, Ironman digital copy on my psp. I have about 20 pictures.
Music: I love listening to music on my PSP. I have the headset and the...

Good points is that you can store videos, songs and more also on the internet. Bad points is that their is no decent games on the PSP and that its kinda boaring once you start playing it you tend to fall out of it in the first 2 weeks then go back and fowards with it. Over all playing the PSP is no greater experience than playing a normal ps2 they rushed it out to fast (read more)

I love my PSP but I do have down sides; I use it for everything such as my internet for when I am away from home. I can connect to my PS3 with it and watch television with it (location free player). I like the way I can put my music on it and videos. i like the way you can download torrents with it. I like the way you can choose different themes for it and the ability you can connect a camera to it. I like the way you can share games with other people.
I don't like the size of it but this...

Portable, better graphics, the only bad points in my opinion with the Sony Psp, is the range of games however I believe this will is bettering in time. I bought my PSP at first release in America while managing a large video game retail store.
While, the overall North American launch for it was considered a "dud', I found this console to be the pinnacle of SONY video game entertainment technology. Compared to the PS1 and PS2, this console actually works as intended, and for more than one year at a time!
The game selection has greatly improved over the past two years, and more and more UMD movies are being released.

I've had the Sony PSP for about 2 months now and let me tell you that it is simply amazing. It offers everything that you could ask for in a portable entertainment device- great looks, amazing graphics, decent sound quality, photo and picture viewing functions, music and video playback capabilities and an amazing, easy-to-use WLAN Interface. Now I know this probably sounds a bit sad but I only got the PSP a few days ago and at first I was really excited about it but once I used it I found that I wasn't really that impressed with it. I mean there's hardly any games on it, the battery life is only 4 hours, there's only one analogue stick and it's nothing like what I expected. The PSP is the best portable video gaming system - I think it beats the DS Lite. The PSP is so useful - it can have a camera, access to the Internet wirelessly, online play and free games as well.
So... if your a little confused by the PSP and DS - trust me the PSP is better, an example: The PSP's screen has about 17 million colors while the DS Lite only has around 65 thousand - big difference - also, who needs a touch screen on a gaming system?

Forgive me if I am not as "woosey" about mine as some people, but the simple fact is: It's just not the hand held PS2 we were all expecting.
However, the Sony PSP system does offer a high standard of portable gaming, and the games are generally quite pleasing to the eye.
The absence of a second analogue stick makes controlling characters in some games awkward and difficult. Of course, some of the responsibility does fall back on the game developer.
A great example of this awkwardness is...

I disagree you can't compare a home based console with a handheld machine. You're not going to get the same experience. Sony have done an excellent job of beating Nintendo at their own game who have dominated hand helds for many years.

I don't really understand why you disagree with my review based on the fact I said it isn't the handheld PS2 we were told it was going to be in the beginning.
<br/>I still gave it a good review and I think it's a good system. Perhaps Sony didn't quite manage a handheld PS2 but they still did a good job, that is overall opinion.

When I first heard about the Sony PSP, I just could not wait to get my hands on it. It costs £180, but it was worth it. When I first purchased the PSP console I just could not wait to open it. In the box you get your PSP, a 32Mb memory stick, AC adaptor, battery pack, headphones with remote control, wrist strap, pouch, cloth, UMD software and printed materials.

Can not believe some people dont like the PSP. I think the only people who hate it or dont rate it, are Nintendo DS owners, and Nintendo fanboys.
There is nothing wrong with the PSP or its games at all. The games are ps2 quality in terms of gameplay and graphics. Graphics are excellent, and the quality blows you away, playing movies also looks excellent, as the screens quality is amazing.

I got a Sony PSP as a Christmas present last year. I was so excited, I loved my Playstation and Playstation 2 when I got them and I like to spend a few hours just chilling with a game.
