The Sony PSP is nice to have if you you are doing long bus/train journeys, they have a good batterylife and can be turned on and off quickly. Psps also fit snugly in pockets etc. as they are so small. What I have found with mine, where it gets carried about, the screen seems very easy to mark. (read more)

Got mine for christmas, love it.
Not a great game player, poker and puzzles mostly find shoot 'em ups a bit difficult!
Very useful for films and music on the train, the internet browser is useful but limited on memory, better than my mobile though.
Must have gadget! (read more)

I used to have the PSP 1000 and all it was great except for the battery life and the weight. I traded it for a Nintendo DS but I couldn't get into the Nintendo DS, so i sold it to my friend, which now has a PSP and he doesn't touch the DS. I recently got the God of War PSP, a 1 gig memory stick and Socom: FIreteam Bravo 2. I LOVE THEM! I have at least 45 songs, Ironman digital copy on my psp. I have about 20 pictures.
Music: I love listening to music on my PSP. I have the headset and the... (read more)

Good points is that you can store videos, songs and more also on the internet. Bad points is that their is no decent games on the PSP and that its kinda boaring once you start playing it you tend to fall out of it in the first 2 weeks then go back and fowards with it. Over all playing the PSP is no greater experience than playing a normal ps2 they rushed it out to fast (read more)

I love my PSP but I do have down sides; I use it for everything such as my internet for when I am away from home. I can connect to my PS3 with it and watch television with it (location free player). I like the way I can put my music on it and videos. i like the way you can download torrents with it. I like the way you can choose different themes for it and the ability you can connect a camera to it. I like the way you can share games with other people.
I don't like the size of it but this... (read more)

Portable, better graphics, the only bad points in my opinion with the Sony Psp, is the range of games however I believe this will is bettering in time. It also can be easily broken as far as I am aware therefore take good care of this game console. Great but with a little and minor problem, therefore well recommend the PSP handheld. (read more)

My son really enjoyed playing on his psp, was easy to carry around and was able to buy good games.

Good points about PSP are that it is a pocket Playstation, which you can carry around easily without having to take of the plugs and than packing them up. So don ' t wait and get PSP for yourself from anywhere you find it cheap. (read more)

So i got this two years ago. I was about to wet my pants i was so excited! so here i am two years later and there have not been a lot of good games since, and i'm getting sick of tony hawk. the internet is the coolest thing ever! it's wireless and runs real nice, simple set up, i can wirelessly get updates, listen to radio and much more. i've dropped it a few times, made the mistake of letting it sit in 100% humidity but it refuses to die. i'm considering throwing it off a skyscraper to see... The PSP is a good move for Sony as it has sold nearly 2 million consoles already. So this is not just for gaming but also for viewing photos, watching videos, listening to music and doubles up as a good modem.

Got our PSP about a year ago, what an amazing piece of kit it is! It seems expensive but when you realise what it can do it is actually a bargain! Perfect for holidays.
The quality of the screen is amazing, watched films (UMDs) on it while on holiday, it is much better than our portable DVD players despite the smaller screen. Games are good but still only have a few due to price, at least the films are getting cheaper now (picked up 3 for £10 from Amazon). Then you can put photos, music or... (read more)

I bought my PSP at first release in America while managing a large video game retail store.
While, the overall North American launch for it was considered a "dud', I found this console to be the pinnacle of SONY video game entertainment technology. Compared to the PS1 and PS2, this console actually works as intended, and for more than one year at a time!
The game selection has greatly improved over the past two years, and more and more UMD movies are being released.

I've had the Sony PSP for about 2 months now and let me tell you that it is simply amazing. It offers everything that you could ask for in a portable entertainment device- great looks, amazing graphics, decent sound quality, photo and picture viewing functions, music and video playback capabilities and an amazing, easy-to-use WLAN Interface. The TFT screen is out of this world and the games, coupled with the highly responsive buttons are intensely immersing. I would say that the battery life... (read more)

Now I know this probably sounds a bit sad but I only got the PSP a few days ago and at first I was really excited about it but once I used it I found that I wasn't really that impressed with it. I mean there's hardly any games on it, the battery life is only 4 hours, there's only one analogue stick and it's nothing like what I expected. I really am not impressed with it at all and I think that Sony has gone way out of its league this time. (read more)

The PSP is the best portable video gaming system - I think it beats the DS Lite. The PSP is so useful - it can have a camera, access to the Internet wirelessly, online play and free games as well.
So... if your a little confused by the PSP and DS - trust me the PSP is better, an example: The PSP's screen has about 17 million colors while the DS Lite only has around 65 thousand - big difference - also, who needs a touch screen on a gaming system? (read more)

Forgive me if I am not as "woosey" about mine as some people, but the simple fact is: It's just not the hand held PS2 we were all expecting.
However, the Sony PSP system does offer a high standard of portable gaming, and the games are generally quite pleasing to the eye.
The absence of a second analogue stick makes controlling characters in some games awkward and difficult. Of course, some of the responsibility does fall back on the game developer.
A great example of this awkwardness is... (read more)

When I first heard about the Sony PSP, I just could not wait to get my hands on it. It costs £180, but it was worth it. When I first purchased the PSP console I just could not wait to open it. In the box you get your PSP, a 32Mb memory stick, AC adaptor, battery pack, headphones with remote control, wrist strap, pouch, cloth, UMD software and printed materials.

I got the Sony PSP for my OH for his birthday, and we're very impressed with it. He loves games like GTA and racing games, and even though I was concerned the screen size would be annoying, he says he doesn't notice it.

The screen on the Sony PSP games console is very large for its size, and the graphics are to die for! The price has gone down this year to $200. The internet browsing is very cool, and it works well. Using the memory, you can upload movies, music and photo's easily. The games are great, and they work OK with the limited buttons. Can not believe some people dont like the PSP. I think the only people who hate it or dont rate it, are Nintendo DS owners, and Nintendo fanboys.
There is nothing wrong with the PSP or its games at all. The games are ps2 quality in terms of gameplay and graphics. Graphics are excellent, and the quality blows you away, playing movies also looks excellent, as the screens quality is amazing.

I got a Sony PSP as a Christmas present last year. I was so excited, I loved my Playstation and Playstation 2 when I got them and I like to spend a few hours just chilling with a game. BUT almost straight away I found a fault. Maybe I'm just picky but I like to have a lot of light playing my game, and I was forever twisting around trying to find a decent amount to actually see the game. However, after about three months, for no apparent reason the on switch became "floppy" as if it wasn't attached to anything. When it came to handheld gaming, it used to be the Gameboy from Nintendo that ruled this neck of the woods, but how times have changed. Sony, one of the major world players in technology, present us with the PSP, or Playstation Portable, to give it its full name.
It is the most powerful mainstream handheld out there, and it plays games which look as though they've been ripped straight out of the main TV consoles.
