I would rather carry the goods on my back around my customers than purchase another new Citroen Van. Not only are they not fit for purpose, any initial saving has been far out weighed b £1000,s of repair bills to clutches etc and time off the road and replacement van rentals as the Citroen garages are franchises and provide no assistance. They and their product are rubbish and I will be going back to the safe reassuringly expensive Mercedes Sprinter as soon as the shackles of my contract are released!!

My 2002 Cirtroen Relay model has never broken down since I have had it from new. Nice design still looks modern 7 years later. Large mirrors give good visability. Body is rust free even on my mates 15 year old version. Very practical and reliable, nice looking van, you cant buy anything close to it for the money.

First broke down weeks after taking delivery and has been back five times since Feb 07 the first time they told me that the van was ok but I don't think they had ever driven it. Spent a good few weeks in garage not good for a new business let alone a new van Citroen tell me that they can not guarantee that it will not happen again, which I think at the rate it's going makes the van bad for business. Should have gone for a German make By the way this is a new 07 relay.

Engine has the same fault and spends four to five day in the garage every six months or less, had the same on a teriffic that I had but at least Renault new what they where doing. Better vans on the market whish I had gone for the German one.

I have owned this Citroen Relay 2.8 HDi vehicle for 2 years and have a love/hate relationship with it. I work as a courier and the Citroen has a cavernous load area with a low deck which aids quick loading and easy handling of goods. The engine seems bullet proof, the 2.8 HDi has plenty of grunt, even when fully loaded. The downside is that the gearbox needed reconditioning after just 30,000 miles and then again at 85,000 miles at over £1000.00 a go, not good. It's had a new radiator, f ...

We have a 5 month old Citroen Relay recovery vehicle, purchased solely for long distance work with small cars and one or two passengers only. It is so unreliable that we are reluctant to go too far in it. Main dealer always too busy to sort out and vehicle off road too long.

Finally after 5 months motoring and 7 months laid up due to continuous break downs from brand new I have finally sold my 2003 Citroen Relay 2.8 HDi Van at a 50% loss on the purchase price. After 3 replacement turbo chargers and two oil pumps the vehicle downtime brought the downfall of my business to which the manufacturer could only reply that it was not their problem. My legal battle continues as does my quest to bring to the attention of the world that Citroen Commercial Vehicles are quite tr ...
