Just returned from a week at the Rodos Maris and i am glad to be home. In my opinion this hotel is certainly not a 5 star more like a 2. We stayed in the bungalows here and it smelt of damp and needed a good refurb. The hotel staff were ok however i felt that they catered more for the Germans, Italians, Russian and other nationalities as these dominated the hotel and there were very few British Families. There was little entertainment and what there was it was very repetetive and rather dull.I never saw any canoes or archery for the kids . The food was disgusting and so was the alcoholic drinks and the free ice cream.
The location is very very quiet with about 3 shops and thats it. The beach is shingle and not very clean in some areas. We went to Rhodes town for the day which was nice and also to the waterpark in Falaraki which was great. The only downside to this was that it took nearly 2hours on the bus to Rhodes Town and the same to get to Falaraki. I would not recommend this hotel unless all you want to do is get up at abou 5 in the morning to reserve a sunbed, you can just leave your towel on this if you want all day and not come back if you want as this is what some people did. Also it is ideal if all you want to do is relax, eat poor food and look at the treetops.

We had a fab holiday, and will definitley go back next year. We had a kettle in the room which was a plesant surprise. The hotel was busy but there was never any trouble with people getting drunk, and I heard no one use bad language.
The pools were wonderfull, and not too busy, There was a large toddlers pool with those with small children. The beach was nice but be warned take your crocks as it has lots of pebbles which hurt your feet.
There were all kinds of watersports on offer which was loa ...

Please do not be put off by the bad reviews of this hotel. I knew before I went that 5 star in Greece was not going to be like a 5 star in England, but even so I think it is of a very high standard. Fresh towels and beds made every day, the maid would even arrange my sons teddy bears on his bed which always made him laugh each day when we got back to our room.

We hadn't paid for anything but the basic room and were very pleasantly surprised to have a maisonette/bungalow room right on the sea f ...

Food and entertainment generally all good. Swimming pool always busy and hard to get sunbeds, Though you could always find a sunbed on the beach! Would definitely recommend for a family holiday but not for any young people looking for a the lively holiday.

First time we have been to Rhodes and we were not disappointed. Rhodes Island is beautiful, but we were most impressed by Kiotari and the surrounding area. The Rodos is a great hotel with the staff most welcoming and after just a couple of days knew our names and preferences. This at the end of a six month season where they admitted to being very tired. The beach was pebbly but absolutely fine, always beds available and good beach sports activities. Food on the whole for an all inclusive is way ...

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Maris Rodos; everything about this hotel was excellent!! The food was excellent, the animation team were brilliant, and all staff were very friendly and helpful (I can't understand all the negative reviews read before we went). Hopefully booking to go back next summer. I can't wait!!!

Excellent food with a wide choice, entertainment was really good for families, the animation team were great, not just the children were entertained but the adults were too. All the staff were fantastic, wide variety of drinks and cocktails etc, quality of hotel was superb and it's situation is right on the beach. Its an hour in a taxi from the airport.

Like a lot of the other reviewers have commented, I was worried by some of the negative comments I had come across. In reality this is a very nice hotel. Our room was clean if basic. The food was plentiful, and there was a great deal of choice in most of the bars. The dining room & bar staff are all very efficient and willing to please. The reception staff were also very helpful.

The resort itself has nothing to offer, and if you don't like laying on the beach you will have to travel a fair ...

Myself, my wife and my 15 year old son went on holiday to the Rodos Maris Hotel. We read as many reviews about it as we could find (many were bad), and we were really worried, but DON'T WORRY. Every bad point that we had read in the reviews was the complete opposite to what this great holiday resort is like. In fact, we have stayed in many places in the world, and this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, and I think that the overall holiday was the best we have ever had. We are so glad w ...

I can't believe anyone would not enjoy their time at the Rodos Maris Hotel in Rhodes. OK it's Greek 5* and probably should be 4*, but come on. Considering the price you pay you can't expect the Sheraton. The food was fine for a week. It's not Marks & Spencers food, but there's plenty of it, and always something for everyone. On average there are always about 14 salads, 12 desserts and 10 different mains. Oh, and the Pizzas in the Taverna are fantastic! I have stayed at Hilton and Sheraton Hotels ...

Found the buffet night after night at Kiotari, Rodos Maris Hotel was really boring. The water with dinner was tap water which gave me and partner really upset stomachs. Stoped drinking that and having ice with drinks and still had problems. As we were only eating and drinking at the hotel, it MUST have been something there.

The rooms are very shabby and so is the rest of the hotel. All the machines in the 'gym' are rusty with screws missing.

The entertainment and food mainly catered for Ge ...

Between booking and travelling, we came across Lynds' review on the Rodos Maris Hotel and were very worried. We gathered as much information as we could, contacted the hotel directly and decided to go ahead. We are glad that we did.

We to have travelled extensively and stayed in every type of accomodation including some of the finest hotels in the world.

The Rodos Maris isn't one of them but it doesn't pretend to be. It is a good quality, family holiday resort catering to an internationa ...

Kiotari, Rodos Maris Hotel - I went to Rodos Maris for two weeks and I can safely say this has been the best holiday ever.
Before we went on holiday we were reading all the reviews and how many bad ones there were, but two years ago we went to anoter Mitsis hotel in Crete, Rinella Beach which was fab, so I know we had no problems.

The food was fantastic with the biggest variety ever.
The rooms were very clean and the mini bar was filled every 2 days with 2 beers, 2 soda waters, 2 cokes, fizzy ...

We travelled to the Rodos Maris Hotel on a last minute deal,it was sold as a 4 star plus hotel. It was not a 4 star more like a minus 3 if thats possible. There was lots of things to do, can't knock them there.
The staff at the reception desk were a pain eg.we wanted to keep our room on as we were leaving late "come back in the morning as early as possible" so up we got arrived at the reception for 8 am "no you,ll have to come back at 9"back we went "no sorry come back at 10" when we finally we ...

I have never written a review on a hotel before and I have been abroad many times and am only 26, but I felt compelled to write this review just to let anyone that reads it know the truth about the Rodos Maris hotel!

I am shocked that this hotel has any good reviews!! It was a terrible hotel and I would NOT recommend it to anyone at all! As is stated previously it is by no means a 5* hotel even though the ratings are obviously not British...

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rodos Maris. The food was fresh, and some of it was freshly prepared in front of you. You also had a choice of where to dine, and the taverna, which you have to book, is lovely. If you fancy dinng outside the complex one night, the nearby Lithos restaurant is fabulous!

All in all a great holiday and very good value for money. I cannot fault the food or service. The staff at Rodos Maris Hotel worked really hard and were always friendly. My children had a wonderful time and didn't want to come home. There was lots to do and everything was included even canoes on the beach or cocktails or liquers in the evening and the mini bar in the room was constantly topped up with soft drinks and beer. Food quality was very good with plenty of fresh fruit and salads plus ...

Rodos Maris Mitsis Hotel is a lovely hotel which is about 50m from the beach. The resort is well suited to couples and families. The All inclusive food I found to be fantastic mostly served buffet style, with a choice of nearly every type of food you can think of. Some restaurants in the complex will require advanced booking as they are vert popular. Drinks are served in varoios places at different times, but you can generally get the all inclusive deal from 10am - midnight.

    There are ext ...
