Good Points: Food was excellent, entertainment crew very good and seemed to be working non stop to help you enjoy yourself, very friendly. Loved the multi national feel. Plenty to do on board, but especially liked the nightclub Blue Room, open until the early hours. Pleasantly surprised that so many younger people on board, and would like to take my two teenagers next time , now that I know there would be plenty for them to do and lots of company their own age. Our first cruise and overall very impressive.
Bad Points: Hard to find any negative points as really enjoyed ourselves. Some of the trips on land were a bit expensive and cheaper if we had gone ourselves, but then would have had the worry of making it back in time for departure.
General comments: MSC Lirica are ideal for first time cruise. All ages, but majority at this time of year(Jul) below 40 with lots of teens and children, so not always quiet on the pool deck, although quiet spots can be found for sunbathing etc around the ship. Plenty to do, some activities are charged, especially the gym , sauna and beauty treatments, and the cost is a good bit more than at home. Need to be careful when sunbathing on top deck as the suns reflection from sea can cause bad sunburn, so high factor of suncream needed if fair skinned. Age for being served alchohol is 21 and not 18 as at home, so this may be a problem for some. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone.

MSC Lirica - 3 hours harrowing travel from airport to ship, apparently all Italian cruises do this silly journey, yet there is a port & airport in Genoa, which is where we sailed from, so why not fly to there?
Homeward journey even worse - disembarkation very badly managed.
We were asked to vacate the room @8am - leave the ship by 9am yet the flight was not till 19.00
Split flight on the way home again certainly not advisable as we spent 7 hours in airport. Total travelling time 15 hours. ...- Read patena2ya's review (350 words and 1 comment)

This being our first cruise, we were a little apprehensive - we needn't have been!. We immediately felt welcome and special on this Dubrovnik and Greek Islands cruise from Venice.
We were amazed at the cleanliness and style of the ship and the cabin staff and our waiter, July, were brilliant
Can't wait to book for next year- Read davidandjoon's review (118 words)
