    Not professional company: DO NOT HIRE FROM THEM. They cancelled my reservation the same day a few hours before the collections giving me not real reasons!! And they offered me just apologies. What are you supposed to do in cases like that...where the damage is great?! Thanks them for the apologies and think NEVER AGAIN I WILL HIRE FROM YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE A RUBBISH COMPANY!

    Do not, whatever you do, give your bank details to this company as they will withdraw funds illegally. This is something I am going to write separately to the Trading Standards Authority in Dublin about. If you have to use this company, the car was actually booked using Nova who passed the car hire rental to National/Alamo and it was National Alamo who illegally withdrew funds from my bank account.     Having read some of the reviews it appears that some are clearly written by Nova Car hire staff. How can any company in this day and age just not respond to complaints in timely manner. Customer service is not their forte once things do not go to plan.
    I am now in process of commencing legal proceedings in order to get my money back for a taxi fare I was virtually blackmailed into having. There was no other way to get to the airport for my flight.

    Found Nova most helpful and will be using them again. Saved two hundred and seventy euro on a ten day hire out. Helpful and friendly staff are a pleasure to work with and the actually seem to care. Good work Nova, see you again before too long.

    Trouble free rental with Nova Rent a Car and great car to boot. No extras when paying, just the quoted amount. Found contact persons helpful and friendly. Will ne dealing with Nova again.

    Excellent service from Nova Rent a Car and great value for money. Helpful and well informed staff who are interested in helping customers and making the whole process as painless as possible. Will use Nova again and will tell all my friends also.

    The Car that Nova had booked for me was spotless and well kept. Thanks again for a most smooth rental arrangements. The pick up and drop off of the vehicle went efficiently. The cost charged was exactly as stated, no nasty surprises at the desk. I will definitely use your company again the next time I need a rental car overseas.

    No stars. I have a complaint currently with Nova hire. Upon arrival at Pisa airport I had to deal with Auto Europa. On the last day of hire there was a problem with the vehicle. Cut a long story short I am now in dispute with Nova trying to reclaim taxi fares. They are trying to claim they are only a broker and wont take any responsibilty for the company they use.
    If they spent more time on customer service they may have got more favourable reviews on this site.

    Do not use Nova Rent a Car unless you want to spend hours of your time upon return trying to get them to reply via e mail.My vehicle had to be towed away for repairs and I had to pay 170 euros to get to the airport for the flight home. The assistance company provided by Nova hire would only pay the first 100 euros!!!!Try and find that in the small print.
    I am trying to recover the extra fare from Nova hire but they do not reply to my e mails.
    They are a cheap hire rate, but you get what you pay ...

    I booked a car online for two days for our stay in Limerick. The booking confirmation stated that the cost would be 40.00 Euros. We also took out extra insurance cover at 6.30 Euros a day.

    On arrival at Europcar nr Limerick, we were told that the cost of the booking would be 55 Euros. When questioning the discrepancy, I was told that they were adding 15 Euros booking fee for Nova Car. Unhappy with this, I called Nova Car to take issue.     Here's the short version: The Dublin city centre Nova Car Hire location was at an Auto Europe dealership. We never saw a Nova sign. We had reserved an automatic economy car and they didn't have one. They offered us a larger car with manual transmission. (Same thing for a couple from Canada who were there at the same time.)     Nova used the old bait and switch in Rome. They quoted a little less than $400 online, but when it was time for my sisters to pick up their two cars, they said none was available at that price. As we really needed a car, they got us other ones and charged around $1000 each.

    I am at a loss as to why Nova Rent a Car has so many bad reviews. I have used them in the UK, Ireland and US and have always found that their prices are the best, service, exemplary and no extra charges. I am Canadian and I appreciate the offer of included insurance which is usually a mine field when hiring a car in the US. In the past I have ended up paying twice the quoted price for a rental car in the US and with Nova I pay what is quoted aside from any additional options I pick up when I ...

    Good point - I received car during my France trip. Bad points - I have paid 70 euro more than was written in my booking. It was nearly 20% over the sum. During 5 months I try to get back my money - unsuccessfully. It's not a company that I can recommend

    I chose to hire a car from Kerry airport using Nova car hire based on cost (for a period of about 27 hours). The car rental company they were using was Irish Car Rentals (National/ Alamo Ireland ). The web voucher stated that after paying a deposit to Nova of 8.03 EURO, the balance I would be charged when collecting the car would be 43 EURO.
    However the bill I eventually received also included 15 EURO plus 2.38 EURO taxes as a service fee for Irish Car Rentals, an environmental fee of 2.63 EURO ...

    Even if it says taxes included on their website be sure to complain about the taxes at the desk. If they say on their website that taxes are included then they should be included and not charge you for another 10 euro.

    Fast web site. Check out the 365 euro's put on hold on your CC for fuel fill up or scratches, it's in their what you don't get in price of car very bottom of long listing. Too much held on deposit.

    Very good web site functionality. Fast quotation. However, I'd avoid using if crossing to some EU countries as additional cost for this could be added at 12-18EURO / day. See above for more detail.

    I have rented car for 2 weeks to EU countries. I have read list of additional charges before I have booked this trip. Also I have called their reps to assure that there will be no additional charges to travel to this EU country ( Czech Republic). They have told me no more then 35 EURO for the whole 14 day would be charged. After I have booked I have received receipt from NovCar and they took charges from my VISA.
