I looked for a decent price for a vehicle in Dunedin, and these guys came out tops! I have used many different company. In this time I rented a car from Enterprise through Nova. And I want to visit from Berlin to Austria or Czek. I did not have an exact plan. Just I told the guy. Then this is limited milage. I have to pay 0.3€/km over 600km. It will cost 1000kmx0.3=300€more. Then I wanted to make a cacellation. Because 117,22+300=417,22€. He suggestted 214€ unlimited milage. Very easy to use website; even to add extras. The process was very straightforward and once there, simple forms to get going. I would recommend the extra insurance, although I never had to use it, it gives peace of mind. They do e-mail you about offers, but I actually learned something from them! Love the easy way you can book online. When i did make a mistake and called by phone the gentleman immediately contacted the right country i was collecting my car and put me through to that department in Ireland. I spoke to a young lady called Aishling,and she fixed my problem imemdiately and effeciently. Thank you Aishling, you Irish are amazing !! We rented a Peugeot cabrio via Nova Car Hire on Treviso Airport. first of all: the car was OK, but the whole process of renting the car was not very customerfriendly. The man that showed us the car was not at all interested in his customers. He did not explain anything about the technical side of this car (cabrio roof up or down), kind of petrol etc. He also did not explain the procedure of returning the car (fill it up with petrol or not, cleaning etc). This was an exceptional value for money rental. A very good car was obtained from Alamo Car Rental at Heathrow. Very good service with pickup and drop off from Heathrow terminals. Points for improvement include: more efficient processing of customers at Norhern Perimeter Road (NPR) Heathrow office as this aspect took too long, no up-selling at counter please as this added to time and some clear instructions from returning vehicle to same NPR office. Best price I could find at the time, but this meant that it was off-airport. Could have been a better experience at pick-up but there wasn't enough room in the minibus for us and another large party of travellers so we stood for an extra hour outside the airport waiting for the minibus to return. On the plus side we did get an upgrade to a larger car for no extra charge and the staff were courteous and efficient. I booked a car with Nova to pick up at Cagliari airport, Italy. When I got there, there was no office, it turned out they outsource the service with Firefly, whose office is a bit further out. We had no number to call and had to wait for a bit. Once there, the staff was kind of dry, but other wise the service was OK. (read more)

It's the first time of using Nova car and I will use again but the trick is to get to the desks first as they had only 1 man working on my flight in So with 10/15 couples picking up a car it took a long time to collect my car , it could have been 30/40 mins not what I needed , but your staff is good and doing his best And perhaps a samll local map would be nice and info on the car details it also be helpful ( I did not needed it this time) Peter (read more)

Done all my booking on line through Nova RentaCar got all info and it said all I had to pay was $222.08 AUD when picking up the Car was a load of Rubbish already had paid $33.72 NZD so think Nova RentaCar took that and then they charged me $50 Airport Tax just one big fucken ripoff Nova RentaCar and Europcar Australia I will never be using them again and I will be telling all my other Fiends the same thing keep Clear of Nova RentaCar and Europcar Australia Am going to take this matter... This was the first time I had used Nova Car hire but I was not disappointed. I had a choice of cars at pick up, and was able to register for 2 drivers at the time of booking which was a bonus. You know what you are paying up front, though don't trust the currency converter, do the conversion yourself. Nova are operating in a world of sharks. Car hire is legalised theft. You have to provide a credit card number and many rental companies feel free to dip in without your permission and refuse even to explain why. Also, most insurance is a scam, based on commissions for selling it. I am satisfied with the performance of Nov, however when I arrived to collect the vehicle the car hire company, First car rental at Johanesburg Airport charged my credit card with FIVE TIMES the total rental amount because I had booked through a third party. Booked a Yaris - got a Hyundai. Having booked on internet, was made at the location to sign a Euro 1600 credit card cover because I had bought my excess insurance cover elsewhere (much cheaper than the excess cover offered by the company). This inconvenience was not mentioned on the booking site. Staff perfectly polite, but made no concessions. Good value overall, but I had a couple of issues. 1) I had to pay for the 500 euro excess on my credit card as the wouldn't let me sign for the 1750 euro excess and 2) a Nissan Micra is not a "VW Polo equivalent" - it is a rubbish car, pretty much in a class of its own. I have used Nova for car hire in Ireland on and off for a few years and always find that they offer the best car hire deal. Unlike other car hire companies it's quite easy to find a person to speak to if you have any questions or problems. Nova is an agent, so for many countries you will actually deal with a recognised car hire brand. So from the moment of hire, you are dependent on them and not Nova. (read more)

Rented a Punto in Sicily, but requested any other car. The worst car I have ever driven. Turning circle on a Punto is tiny which is unhelpful for small streets. Including insurance for accidental damage which i would advise having in Sicily, i feel strongly that it was overpriced. we rented a car at venice airport and reutrned it to Verona airport. the nova deal was good, but because there was information that was unclear on the website, I ended up paying 75 euro extra for insurance. It was unclear what type of insurance I was getting in the basic package, so when it wrote add total insurance for another 40 euro, I wasn't sure why I should add it especially since they wrote that i already had insurance. I figured i would ask the rental person at the airport for clarification. However, at the airport the insurance was not another 10 euro per day, it was 28 euro (times 4 days), and I understood there that i really needed the total insurance since the insurance package offered was not enough. Thus, because of unclarity on the website I ended up having to pay a lot of extra money.
Additionally, we picked up the car at about 11 pm so they gave us the keys, told us where the car is and that's it. When I saw the car, I saw that there were a lot of scratches and other deficincies on the exterior part of the car, but there was noone to report this to, since I was alone by the car and the rental company had closed already. Whne I brought the car back they said that I had caused some scratches since not all of the scratches were listed on the computer. this was ridiculous and i had no way to prove that I was right since I couldn't report the scratches when I rented the car. thankfully, the insurance covered it, but without the insurance I would have had to pay a lot of money because of the rental company's negligence.
