Boring as hell. Action is developing a way to slowly. After reading half of the book almost nothing. No suspense at all.

As an ex-Police Officer myself I find Rankin's books the most believable and along with Reginald Hill and Colin Dexter in authenticity.- Read Bob young's review (38 words)

Ian Rankin, Fleshmarket Close - The new Rebus novel is always an essential purchase for me. Having read & loved all previous Ian Rankin offerings however I couldn't help but be a little disappointed with the plot. A few more twists and a little more drama would not have gone amiss.
That said, it is still a very enjoyable read and a notch above 80% of current crime fiction.
As Rebus nears the end of his career, it will be fascinating to see if Rankin passes the baton to DS Siobhan Clarke or cha ...- Read MarkEdin76's review (117 words)
