I have owned these mission 751 speakers for over 12 years now and having just upgraded my amp from a cyrus 3 to a cyrus xpd QX during the summer trade in promotion I really thought it was time to replace the old missions.
So this evening I auditioned a pair of Proac response 1sc thinking they would blow my missions out of the water but in fact they didn't. I had two friends over whilst I auditioned them and to be honest we were all pretty much split down the middle.
The 751s re just an amazing little speaker 12 years old cost me £350 new and I think it is going to take a small miracle to find something that can replace them.

The Mission 751`s are truly amazing speakers. I had owned a pair of IMF`s and thought the sound quality of them was superb, but the Mission 751`s anr even better and will be very hard to beat! If you see any for sale, grab them with both hands.

I've owned my Mission 751's from new in 1993, I've kept them through a number of upgrades, the latest being to a Naim CD5i and Naim Nait 5i-2. This combination has shown how good a speaker the 751's as they have really responded to the new front end with great performance through the range including stronger, more detailed bass.

The Mission 751 speakers are bright and breezy with good clarity. Treble is as sweet and clear. Can sound a bit forward with the wrong partners, but otherwise a fabulous little speaker which can hold its own in todays company. Good points are clarity, focus and imaging. Fantastic looking and heavily built. No boxiness present. Only bad point is low bass absent

Clear deep open bass for their size soundstaging thats simply short of amazing. Near wall speaker for those without a lot of room. Biwire. The better the front is the better they become.
Built quality super in the same level as proac response 1, not quite the same bass but very, very similar preformance.

Truly a Legendary piece of kit..Like the other guy bought my Missions shop soiled in the 90s What can I say but I have seen people spend a lot more and not get the same sound. I matched them up with arcam 7r and Arcams7se cd Awsome..I have put 4 systems together for my friends and family..People know there good ..I still think they are under rated...

I bought the Mission 751 speakers as shop soiled years ago in the 90's.
I also got good stands and sand filled them, as you do. They had plenty of good mids and were quite powerfull for the size.
They really came into their own when I got a sub bass bin. Took me a long time to tune it in but the sound is truly worth the time.
I'm dropping the sub in at its lowest setting and that shows how much bass the missions are putting out.
Many people have remarked on the sound and I have yet to hear a ...

I have owned these mini Mission 751 stereo speakers for many years & still think they are fantastic. On proper stands (I'm using apollo twin stem stands sand filled with floor & top spikes) they simply sing! The sound is so full. Listening to anything from Vann Morrison to Roni Size they simply perform. Their small dimensions mean I can push them against the wall without bassboom, while still retaining deep stereo imaging. An excellent product highly recommended.
