    Good Points: We spent a very relaxed holiday at Hotel Club Alvor and found it very good value for money, the bar, reception area and pool were fine and the staff were very helpful and friendly,


    Bad Points: Our room overlooked some open ground where there was some kind of company working there, so the view wasnt very attractive. The weather was unusually hot for that time of year so we spent quite a lot of time in the apartments, which were clean and adequated furnished, but could have done with some upgrading. In the brochure it mentioned a restaurant, but it was never open.


    General comments: All though we were a little dismayed because of the lack of restaurant on site, there were plenty of places to eat near by and we were within easy reach of Alvor town centre.

    The Alvor Club Alvor Golf apartment block in the Algarve was basic, but it had all the necessary facilities. It was clean and tidy. The pool area was clean and safe, with enough sun loungers to save squabbles! The staff were very helpful and polite.

    All but one of the restaurants we visited served excellent food!

    Quinta Nova apartment complex is on the same site, and provided you purchased your drinks etc. they had no problem with you using their facilities.

    The Alvor Golf block was not the same as the picture in Airtours brochure, (block 1). It has a small swimming pool, and does not have any sun till about 10.45. The apartments although spacious were very dirty when we arrived, although the bedding had been changed, some towels had not. The towels were very old and so hard you were unable to use them. The only place that was ever kept clean was the Reception area. I never ever saw the stairs being cleaned, and there were cigarette ends on the ...
