Lake Garda is a real find in a wonderful town on a great lake near great restaurants - our favourite was l'Antica Trattoria La Speranzina. The restaurant in Hotel Grifone is also highly rated. And the Roman ruins at the tip of Sirmione are amazing. We looked at rooms costing almost 4 times as much and chose the Grifone because of the room and the views - the low price is a great extra benefit. Sirmione is a don't miss town - the Grifone is a neat place to see it from.
