    Good Points: Superb Picture
    Great Sound
    Stylish Looks
    Quality Build

    Bad Points: No Component Video
    No Progressive Scan

General comments: I spent some weeks scouting around the local shops and internet looking for a 32" widescreen TV. After many hours of reaserch and reading a number of reviews I had narrowed the search to the Phillips 32PW9528 or the Toshiba 32ZP38. The Toshiba had the edge on style, sound, and conectivity, but the Phillips was far superior in picture quality. Unless your main priority is watching DVDs via component video I would stongly suggest the Phillips over the Toshiba. Its also several hundred pounds cheaper even via the interenet. The speakers that come with the Toshiba are fairly tacky so you could use the money you save on the Phillips to buy a decent home cinema system! Pixel Plus Rocks!

I did the usual search and managed to narrow my choice down to either the Sony KV32FX68S or the Philips 32PW9308C which were pretty hard to split.

However following a visit to Co ...

My Philips 32PW9528 is just over a month old.The picture in general is very detailed and displays a real depth of feild in the pixel plus and movie plus modes. So far no problems. But one things niggles me.In brightly lit images there seems to be a very slight darker streak running verticaly just off centre. Is there a way I can de-gause the screen ?

I have bought 32PW9527 and returned in a week. Same problems as others had. Swithching off and on by itself.
This one works very well and no problems so far.
Not so many feauters but gives unbeatable picture quality for same money compared to others!
    I recommend it!

The PHILIPS 32PW9528 has the same great points awarded last year by EISA and technical journals and magasines but with the former reliability problems already solved.
