    Good Points: Absolutely none!

    Bad Points: Everything!

General comments: I chose Michelangelo's Italian restaurant in St. Albans for my Hen party based on other reviews, and the fact it was supposed to be lively, have a DJ and live music. Arrived there, and the place was as about as lively as a cemetery. Service was poor. We ordered champagne and they only had 3 champagne glasses. There were 18 of us! The owner kept telling us there was a DJ on the way, and the place would really liven up once we had started our main course. They continued to play Pavarotti extremely quietly. Eventually, at about 10.30pm the owner admitted there was no DJ or any live entertainment, and when we complained about the classical music, they put a McFly CD on - Please!

In summary, awful customer service, no atmosphere, and most definitely not suitable if you want to go out and have fun!

St Albans, Italian, Michelangelo's: I would definitely return to this "kept-well secret". Everything on the menu. Ambience was good and the staff really made you feel welcome and very much at home. We are planning to go back on a dance night sometime in the new year. Might see you there!!

Michelangelo's is definitely somewhere I will want to return to in a hurry, we went in a large group for my sister's birthday and had a wonderful night. It would appear to be a well-kept secret by locals! The menu was delicious and we all found it hard to pick just one thing, meat, pasta and vegetables alike were tasty and well-cooked and surprisingly cheap! Service was also very good. As we got drunker, the restaurant got livelier and the music picked up. I'm sure some nights it can get pretty ...
