Fido has been my phone company for 6 years. I was recently put on my work's phone plan, so my Fido account was canceled. Originally, they sent the bill to my OLD address --- not a big deal, updated my address, and waited again. When I received my final bill October 30th, it was dated for May 2014 - not October 2014, and the amount was incorrect. I email them again to let them know. fIdO are big time cheats. Please do not ever, I say EVER, join fido. They will only rip you off for something's you haven't even used. I had to pay so much for the data I did not use. I acknowledged this problem so many times but they keep me responsible to fix it. Being a customer they would love to charge me for the data I haven't used but not help me figure out what exactly led to the extensive charge for the claimed amount on downloads… Read Full Review

“Fido is not a provider, Fido is a pain”

“Terrible fido”

Two days after I signed up, I realized that, there is a lot of hidden detail in the contract. The customer service is horrible, fews days later they send and a texted based survey to do which I kindly opt to answer, but since then I started getting this constant 1800 survey call. 3 times in a day!. I have recently changed from Fido to Videotron, for not being satisfied with their services and theiy sky high prices. When you sign up with Fido, you pay for the service in advance. For example: If you sign up on january 1st, you will have to pay for the services Fido will provide you for the month of january before actually receiving the service. “Don't get into Contract with Fido”

Don't you ever sign a contract with Fido!!!! even after your contract ends they will keep charging you with all kinds of fees for months after!!!! I called them and contacted them several times but no help from their customer service. “Failed to correct billing error”

I have been with Fido for over 8 years. Thanks for them to give a horrible customer experience to me and it makes me leaving them. Here was the story: I upgraded my phone on Boxing Day(2013) and got a good deal on the purchase price of the phone and as well as on monthly plan. “Expernsive and hard to unlock they phones also”

I contract with them in 210 and bough a Sony Ericson T715..... They charged my 35$ per month basic minutes, no voice mail, no access to E-mail, the basic of basic.... After the contract was over they increased to 45$ per month....but they offer money incentives for loyalty customer. “No Coverage Anywhere!”

I have been with Fido for 7 years and was very happy with their service while I was in Alberta. I forgave the fact that I NEVER had service anywhere in Saskatchewan except Saskatoon. However, since moving to BC I cannot use my phone in my own home. Fido's solution....go door to door and knock asking my neighbours if they are will Rogers or Fido and find out if they have reception issues. “Fido gets an "A" from me”

I have been on Fido for probably 10 years now, having transferred from Telus. The rates are great (i am currently $56/mo with 2GB data and unlimited everything else in Canada). I was originally using a fido locked phone, but wanting my freedom, i bought an unlocked samsung s2, just so i could leave for another carrier if i wanted to. But I never did. I have been with Fido for six months now and absolutely love the customer service I have been given. This is why customers stay. I trsnsferred from Koodo. $120 a moth now I pay $75 a month which is unlimited calling in Canada. 5cents a minute to the USA from Canada and when I travel to the USA I just add a package of my chosing which includes calling and roaming for $10 and I have no issues. This is five service and care. Communication with them is what they want and they work with you when life happens...Definite Keeper carrier.

I am with mobilcity$54.00 a month no contract unlimited talk text data with 20 G of fast speed internet.If you need data this is a good plan .trust me I tried most of the high end mobil companies,coverage area is not good , but service and data is pretty good...

I dealt with Fido for the first time and last time in my life. I had a 2 year contract, cancelled after 6 months. When you contact Fido, Fido will jump you from department to department without anyone taking any responsibility. I cannot imagine any company having worst service then Fido and Fido stores (especially Skynet Fido on 75th and Scott Road in Surrey). Public message to ALL FIDO users: On December 6 2012 I purchased for 125$ a LG phone @ FIDO in Montreal in Angrignon shopping mall for my son. In the begging of May 2013 the phone's display as well as all features stopped working due to a manufacturer error. My husband and I had 2 phones with Fido Canada on a three year contract.
We canceled after 2 because we found something way cheaper and better.
We were charged roughly $200 a month for 2 phones on a contract. It got more and more expensive every month even though the only extra we had was call display and voicemail. Calls would randomly be dropped all the time. It was next to impossible to get a signal anywhere.
