I was treated like moaning customer. I went in with my shoes that i purchased and they fell apart in 2 months. i had my receipt but i was told it has been over 28 day and i was allowed an exchange. What i find troubling is that do Dolcis expect their shoes to last 28?

Nice shop you should go in when theres a sale on you can pick up some decent things! I purchased some sandals from there and they are really comfy and still look new even though I wore them all the time on my holidays!

Unsafe heels on a pair of boots that I bought in Chester town, Dolcis shop.
I almost fell on my back with the heels sliding under me on laminated and linoleum flooring. I have been walking on the balls of my feet. Just not good enough.I have had to put rubber heels on the boots at a cost of £7.

One unhappy customer. Like the boots, but what a fuss after purchase.

Staff at the Dolcis shoe shop at the Metro Centre were very unhelpful, and wouldn't listen. A friend bought shoes for £40, and three weeks later they were being sold for £16, and that was what they offered her as a refund. She refused and took the shoes to a charity shop. She contacted head office and they said the decision was final.

Shopping at Dolcis has never been a bad experience for me and I have always like their products and have not had a problem after many years of shopping there. I firmly believe it is the way we approach each other that often promotes an unsatisfactory result. All the other reviews are negative which is not the picture I have of this store.

I took a pair of my son's shoes back to Dolcis after a week of wearing them. The sole was hanging off one shoe. I was told by the manageress that I had failed to protect the leather, as leather is not waterproof. My wife, who bought them, was not informed that she should do this to prolong the shoes' life beyond one week. As a gesture of goodwill (!!) she said she would exchange them, but would not give me a refund. As I did not want the same thing to happen again, I insisted on a refund, but sh ...

I bought a pair of boots from the Chester store and the zip broke on them. I took them back, and they said they were not their boots! I had the box as well! And I did not own any other boots to get them mixed up with. The Dolcis assistant that served me 4 days earlier was there, but she said she did not remember me.

We wrote to head office and told them, but we got a reply saying there was nothing they could do. The assistant that got the boots from the back room for me was a Saturday girl. I ...

When I returned a LEAKING shoe to Dolcis in the Wakefield Ridings branch, the smarmy manager told me that shoes were not waterproof unless they were hiking boots. She than accused me of walking through deep puddles which could have caused the leak. Not once did she take me seriously, but treated me like a kid who likes to jump about in the rain. After questioning her answer, the other members of staff backed up her reply and said that their shoes also leak in heavy rain. The manager also had the ...

I am annoyed at Dolcis, because when spending over £60 on boots, I do not expect to receive one 'used' shop one and one new one. When I complained, the girl said it was the last pair and all they could do. On another occasion I tried on 2 size 6 boots, gave her the 'shop one' back and asked for a new one. She went away and came back with the same boot! I knew it was the same one because a) it looked older, but b) I had opened the buckle and tightened it, distorting the shoe, and I did not ...

I purchased a pair of boots from their Trafford Centre store in Manchester. All the staff were very helpful until I came to pay. There were a few scratches on the boots and a tube of leather cream had been put into the box at the till (I thought this was complimentary for the scratched boots). The assistant said the cream was great and would remove the scratches, then charged me for the cream. When I queried this I was told 'they could not let me have it for free'. The supervisor was called ...

I was disappointed with the service in the Wimbledon branch of Dolcis. I was hoping to buy a pair of shoes that I had tried on today but after the disinterest from the shop assistants and the clear strain required to be friendly and helpful, I left the pair of shoes and hope to try another branch for service with a smile.

I was annoyed with Dolcis, that whilst they say that statutory rights are not affected by their refunds policy actually, it clearly is, as if an item is not fit for use, then a repair, replacement or refund must be offered and they said that they were unable to do this for bags. I can only assume that this policy is in place as they have no faith in their bags!

I actually work for Dolcis and am very disappointed to read that many of the people on here have had bad experiences. I agree with the point that the website isn't brilliant and it does need updating. But I can honestly say that in the store where I work we always give good customer service and would never dream of saying some of the things said on here. If we don't have a shoe in stock the warehouse is the next port of call who we phone and see if we are able to get the style. And we take custo ...

My daughters took a pair of shoes back to Dolcis in Chester and they were told that they needed a receipt and their mother to get vouchers back (despite the sign on the wall saying they did not). I went back a week later and got the vouchers no problem. The person next to me in the queue had some shoes in a terrible state after one days wear, and the manager was being most unhelpful and refusing to refund. I intervened and was asked what business was it of mine? To which I replied that I was a c ...

I went into Dolcis looking for a pair of smart shoes and ended up asking to try on smart shoes, flats and sandals! It was taking ages so I asked the senior shop assistant/manager if she knew where they were. She was unhelpful, and when I asked about shoes matching a bag I found and liked, she was equally unhelpful and said they didn't have any and couldn't get any. She did not offer to find out if a store nearby had any or any other help. So, I walked out and didn't purchase any shoes that day! ...

I bought a pair of pretty orangy/peach pumps from Dolcis in Stevengae last year. If it wasn't for the growth of my feet I would still be wearing them now. They were the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought and they lasted as long as I needed them to.

I bought a pair of suede effect boots from Dolcis for what I thought was a reasonable price. However after two weeks of normal wear (about 3-4 days per week) the heels had worn down to the metal part and the toes had started to fray. I took the boots back with the receipt hoping that I would at least be able to get them repaired or replaced however I was told that I was not entitled to anything as there is no guarentee as to how long a pair of boots should last and that I should have got them re ...

I find the shoes at Dolcis to be good value and good quality. Many of the shoes are produced by big name designers, and there is a good selection of styles available. All the staff members are polite and aid the customer when assistance is needed. Refunds are given if there is a genuine fault and the faults comply with the refunds policy.

I purchased a pair of shoes from Dolcis and it lasted 1 week with the sole coming off. I lost the receipt but had the credit card receipt, and they don't consider this proof of purchase and I had to fight for my money back, (still waiting has to be approved by head-office).
