The Albatros Apartments are not very central and require about a 25 min walk to the centre, the apartments are also at the top of a hill which can prove challenging after a long day, one of the nearest beaches is down 160 steps, the apartments and area is pretty basic and is nothin extravagent. however the food is quite good and the booze is some of the cheapest in town. I found the staff very friendly and in particular a bar person who worked in the bar in the bistro. I feel there are probably much better places to stay in Salou but if you are on a budget and just want some friendly faces then definitely check this place out!! :)

Albatros Apartments was a lovely surprise! After reading some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive. The rooms yes were a bit dated but they were clean & spacious & the balcony was huge! The staff were friendly & helpful. Al's Bistro was a great place to have a snack & a beer in happy hour 1 euro for a pint of local lager in the happy between 4pm & 5pm!
The beaches are lovely, if you turn left out of the hotel & head down the hill there is a lovely quiet beach.

I went to Albatros Apartments, Salou for a week. I think the apartments were clean and tidy. We didnt have the best view though, it was facing other apartments unlike our friends who had a seaview that was fantastic. The Als Bistro is nice and the food is lovely the entertainment was ok. They have bingo there and a quiz every night. We won all week on the bingo :D. It is quite hilly but nothing too extreme, the beach is close and it's nice.

I stayed with three friends at the Albatros Apartments. Our flight was in the early hours of the morning, and when we arrived at the hotel we (and several other guests) were told to put all of our suitcases in a downstairs room as our rooms weren't ready. Took nearly 2 hours before we could go in.

The room was fine - basic but clean. The cleaner came in once during our stay.

The pool area was fairly small but always well maintained. I imagine if the hotel was full it could get pretty cramped!

So very well located, great views, reasonable price and very well equipped inside and out of the apartments. Can be noisy when the bar below is kicking out! But this is not too bad. There is a LOT of steps, so if you have kids with you in pushchairs it will be hard unless you a very fit! Also, book your holiday after May as the weather can be very wet before then! Overall an excellent holiday. I traveled with my ex husband and our 3 kids aged 41/2, 2 and 7 months. It would have been very difficul ...

I had heard some bad things about the Salou Albatros Apartments before we went, but on arrival was very pleased. It is situated just out side the main town so noise was minimal. There are three beaches with in walking distance, the main one being just across the roads. this was beautiful. If you have a room over looking the pool you have great views of the sea and beaches. The staff were friendly and helpful and came in every day to clean and make beds. Aquapolis water park was very good and you ...

I became quite concerned about the Albatros Apartments after reading some reviews. However we were pleasantly surprised.
The Balcony was superb with great views, sun shield and metal shutters. Someone had commented about noise but with a heavy door and the shutters we slept like babies. They were far enough from the pubs and clubs for the noise not to carry but within walking distance. It was a bit of a steep climb back from the beach! Al's Bistro cooked good quality fresh food from 10am ...

I was pleased with the big balcony, so we didn't have to sit in the dusty room. On arrival we were not given any information regarding the Albatros apartments in Salou, such as air conditioning and fans etc. At night children were allowed to run around the building screaming down the corridors without being told off by security.

Lets start by saying I will never go back to the Albatros Apartments in Salou. This was our first trip to Spain. My husband and I travelled with our children ages 6 and 9. We were all looking forward to this holiday, and we did not mind getting up at 03:00 to catch our flight to Reus, but we arrived at Albatros around 10:00, and we had to wait for nearly 2 hours before we could get in to our room. We were told to put our suitcases down in a small storage room. After waiting nearly 2 hours to ge ...

I was really worried about staying at the Albatros Apartments because I had looked on a few review websites and the reviews were mainly bad.

I travelled with my 2 younger sisters who were 18 and 14 and we stayed in a studio apartment.

However when I arrived at the Albatros on the 20th August I was pleasantly surprised, the staff on the reception desk were very friendly and spoke perfect English, I did have to pay a deposit of 110 Euros or I could have paid in sterling (£80) but I kne ...

Overall, Albatros Apartments are a good hotel spoilt by a few minor details. £80 deposit required on arrival to cover damages. Hotel location could be a problem if mobility is a concern, although all hotels & many shops do have ramp access.
The resort has good beaches, plenty of shops to browse through & enough bars to find yourself never thirsty on hot days. The theme park is only 2kms away & easily reached by public transport or a taxi. Overall, a good place to go with plenty to do for ...

    Albatros Apartments:
Be warned, you will be asked for a deposit on your first night of E120 (£80.00) cash in case of damages, this will be refunded in full when checking out. Friendly staff. People have complained about faulty electric wiring leading to electric shock. Personally I would not stay there again as it is far too noisy at night.
