I got my 05 Piaggio NRG DD air cooled sportseries for crimbo 08. And it is a abrilliant piece of kit. Handles great. Very easy toswing round bends and fun over all to drive.
I would recommend getting it derestricted though.
Just removing the washer from the variator makes that much difference.

When I was looking for a second hand 50cc a mate of mine said try the Piaggio NRG 50 so I did. I found a seller with an NRG scooter it was derestricted with a sports ZX Leo Vince exhaust shifting the ped to 65mph+. It was a nice ride and everything fast fun but it just didn't do it for me I prefer the Runner 50 Its just that little bit more sporty.
But all in all the NRG is one of the best scooters you can buy.

Hi mate. I've got the same Piaggio NRG sport series, and I find that the acceleration is pants.
<br/>It does like 0 - 30 in 17 - 20 seconds lol. If I bought a new exhaust like the one you mentioned, would it make a lot of difference, or still be slow? On a straight I get 43, but I think my digital speedo is wrong.
