    Riu Palace Mexico, Playa Del Carmen, has big rooms, very big beds, loads of food, amazing beach, friendly staff, close to Yucatan's tourist attractions. Absolutely brilliant idea to put the beautiful palm trees between the hotel and the beach! It's a palm tree forest on the sand! Needs renovation soon (rooms, gym, ...)

    We spent our honeymoon at Riu Palace Mexico in June 2003. This was really the best hotel we had ever experienced: luxury, friendliness of the staff, quality of the food, everything was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

    However If you do not like a luxury hotel and its guests stay away, because this is as fancy as it gets. The hotel has a huge buffet of international dishes, with an extra stand of all typically local dishes which I think is an excellent feature. All d ...
