Good Points: I imagine they would be good for hunting but never tried.
Bad Points: Inaccurate
General comments: Bought a tin of 200 but couldn't get very good groupings at all with my rifle. Even at 15 yards they weren't accurate enough to hunt with. I did notice that they left neat holes in cardboard and they expanded well if shot into a thick catalog. I wouldn't say they are no good at all just that they are no good in my Weirhauch springer. Perhaps in a different gun they would work for short range pest control?

The Bisley Pest Control pellets make exceptionally good close range small vermin pellets, ideally suited to rats in particular. Due to their indent on their nose they expand upon impact, similar to a hollowpoint bullet from a live rifle. This means that nearly all of their energy is transferred into the target. If the target is shot in the chest, the pellet causes it to go into hydraulic shock, killing the target instantly. Please note that this only works on small quarry species like rats. Hitt ...

Used the .177 Bisley pest controls in a BSA rifle whilst staying on a farm. As the rifle does 12fpe we were whacking rats with these pellets and getting great results, they deliver an incredible blow to the quarry. They grouped well in that rifle and combine with the power they make a great hunting pellet. However the Webley rifle hated them couldn't group them at all. My 2289G which does 10ftlbs and great for hunting rats with crosman hollow points, grouped well with the bisleys but they la ...

Although every gun is different, tried the Bisley Pest control pellets through an FAC, pcp, 8 shot rifle. Over 35 yrds they grouped very badly, although delivering a heavy penetration, weight consistancy over 10 pellets was also bad, nice bunny hitters, but too inacurate over more than 20yrds.
These rounds were shot with 15.8 lbs, FAC as chrono'd at time of shooting.

The Bisley Pest control pellets are superb for Pest Control. I use them for ratting and when the slugs impact, the dirty rodent is sent rolling. The hollow point spreads out perfectly and the pellet deforms excellently which helps to deliver the blow. When hunting Rabbits, these give an outright kill!

Bisley Pest control pellets are a must for hunting or pest control I've used lots of different brands but these seam to work better than others they cost £3.95 for 200 and have a hollow tip they come in both .22 and 177.
