As a seasonsed traveller and vomit-er, I have tried pretty much everything for motion sickness. I stumbled upon meclozine in the UK and have never looked back - so much so that I get friends to bring it back from UK holidays for me! Benefits - lasts 24 hours (no more repeat doses), effective after the nausea starts (just in case you forget (as if we would) or if your friend starts to get sick), and minimal side-effects (in fact, compared with other medications, side-effects are... Please note that i have contacted the supplier in the UK and they confirmed that the factory where the 'sea leg' tablet was manufactured was burnt down. They are trying to get another company to make them.
Must admit this has been going on for several weeks and today they confirmed this is still not resolved.

Like another poster has mentioned I am also unable to obtain them from anyone now & I am very concerned about a long haul flight we are due to take in April to visit... (read more)

I am 73 years of age and have suffered with sea sickness all my life. I went to New Zealand and had to travel by ferry from the North Island to the South Island - something I was dreading. Sealegs were recommended by a pharmasist in Auckland. I took two tablets as prescribed and I was absolutely dumb founded that I had no sign of sickness at all. I even managed to walk round the boat carrying cups of tea. There were three cruises included in our tour and therefore I used Sealegs on four... (read more)

I've been using Sealegs for 40 years on trips to Shetland. Once the sea was so rough I had to take 3 tablets, and once I even had to take FOUR tablets. However, I was not sick and had no side-effects.It worries me that I can no longer buy them in my local chemist, I have to order them. (read more)

These are the best "ones" on the market & in my opinion the most effective. My son suddenly developed travel sickness at about 4yrs old . He was so miserable and a pharmacist suggested SEALEGS, excellent!! Fantastic job, but...............why can't I buy them anywhere at the moment? Have even tried on line? Any ideas??
Thanks....concerned Mum , Ireland

I am also finding it very difficult to locate a pharmacist selling Sea Legs - I am 35 years of age and have used Sea Legs since I was a child. I suffer in planes, cars, etc..my job entails about 6 flights a week, and I had stocked up - but now the rations are low! Have they been taken off the market? Does anyone know? Many thanks.

Have been using these little belters for as long as I can remember and they have NEVER let me down.
From being thrown about in the Bay of Biscay, glass bottomed boats, nightmarish channel crossings I have remained serene and calm whilst all around me throw up into their paper bags!
I wouldn't last 2 minutes without them. Amazing!

I suffer from travel sickness if I'm a passenger in a car/bus/coach and now trains. If the journey continues long enough I get the full works - nausea, headache, hot flushes, dizzyness, being 'not with it' as well as hyperventilation followed by pins and needles in my hands a lips from not breathing properly! I've suffered since a child and it's never gone away, until now!
Sea Legs were the first thing I tried and, for me, they work like a miracle. I still get tensions headaches and they...

I can get motion sickness in the bathtub, so really hate flying, Sealeags have fixed all of that, i have been on some really bad flights where i have had to hold my food tray to stop it flying into the air, yet have still managed to be ok myself. I can now fly without any concerns of travel sickness, the only small side effect for me is a small amount of drowziness, which i don't mind but it does annoy my wife. (read more)

I suffer from severe motion sickness while on aircraft & boats (To the point where everything round me starts 'spinning' & my last meal makes a reappearance !!!) but I have found Sea Legs to be THE most effective travel sickness remedy around. It doesn't make everything 100% perfect as personally I still get a (tiny) bit queezy for very short periods but using these tablets means that I can enjoy a 12 hour flight without any major problems. As far as effectiveness & value for money goes I... (read more)

I have found trave ease which is stocked at tesco. i am told they have the same ingredients at sea legs but they come as a large chewable tablet which my children don't like. While they seem to work my children do complain more of nausea. i was told sea legs is no longer made which i agree is a real loss.
