    Good Points: Works well.
    Non-drowsy.


    Bad Points: Price until patent subsides.


    General comments: Zirtek are a good non-drowsy hayfever tablet that work quickly and efficiently. However, I have found, as with many other anti-histamine medications, that your body soon becomes used to them and their effectiveness tends to lessen.

    I now tend to rotate my anti-histamine medications on a seasonal basis to prevent this occurrence, and it seems to work.

    As with other non-drowsy anti-histamines the cost can be quite steep, especially on heavy days when you need multiple tablets to have any effect.

    I see the patents on many of these are starting to wear off, and supermarkets now stock generic brands.

    Zirtek One A Day allergy relief tablets are the only hayfever treatment that works for me. It is best if you take one as soon as you wake up, and it does not make you drowsy.
