They have poor internet service and customer service. They do not provide the same internet speed as they describe at the time of sale. After sold they just bound the customer in a contract while they are unable to improve their services. i hate virgin media!! any problems go straight to India. Nobody cares!! useless slow broadband with appalling landline crackle and echoing. Read this, and then decide if you want to join Virgin Media. Having received flyers addressed to my house from Virgin Media for the last several years, I decided to give them a try. “Virgin Media Broadband - Unreliable, Expensive,...”

As we work online, fast and reliable internet is essential to us. We switched from PlusNet due to the fact that they at the time did NOT offer fiber broadband, only "broadband" trough BT's stone-age copper wires. We had absolutely rubbish download speed with PlusNet at times in 330 kB. Like in the early days of the internet with a phone line modem. Getting fed up with PlusNet we looked for alternatives. I took Virgin media some two years ago now and have found accessing e mails a slow process often taking at least 4 mins to get to them. They are forever undertaking work on their site. “Good broadband but average tv”

Was a customer for over 10 years. Started off with the full package tv broadband and phone. Broadband in my experience was very good and over time was given hefty customer loyalty discounts and in the end was paying £19 for 50mb broadband only happy days! Have Broadband and landline from VM-and mobile. Noticed on Sat 25 June landline not working. Visited their website at 8.15 AM and saw stays report "some lankiness/brodband having problems-to be fixed by 19.45 June 25. I only get a lady with a strong Spanish accent, she does not care a bit! Their ultrafast broadband (50Mbs) gives you just under 1Mbs for the first 5 seconds, then gives jumps - their system probably recognises a speed test is going on - a bit like VW and emissions! Very unreliable, faults are frequent. Always a week until a technican can come to "fix the problem". Bills sky rocketed compared to PlusNet we had before - of no apparent reason. Monthly costs are higher too. The Spanish sounding lady does not listen to what you as a customer are saying. Se goes on and talks with an annoying high toned voice, ignoring what you just told her. Virgin Media broadband is expensive, unreliable. They hiked prices, and then sent a message you speed has been increased to 70Mbs - which is an utter lie. No change whatsoever to the speed. The really really bad thing is I have already lost count on how many visits (and weeks) I have had to wait for Virgin Media to come and fix their utterly unreliable service. My income relies on online activity. Virgin does not care a bit even if you tell them. No you have to wait a week every single time there is an issue. Mind you we live in London, but not even in London can they make things work. You cannot be talking about the same company at all -or are you just SARCASTIC!

“Hopeless customer services”

Unless you want to buy something the web site is useless. No obvious way to change or cancel a contract. Customer Services staff are unhelpful and slow. The fastest way to get service was to lie and say that I wanted to upgrade and then, once I got someone, I was able to get my contract changed, albeit by someone that obviously could not wait to get me off the line; I guess I was stopping them earning commission on a sale. “Cant Use wifi”

Spoke to the so called customer Service dept amoung dozens of others that passed me around on their premium rate number. Cant use wifi or xbox unless plugged directly into router. I have just been informed since Oct 2015 they have a fault and wont be rectified until Jan 2016 my internet speed is (they say) around 5mb intermitent. I am also told I am not paying for WIfI ?? and if I want to use my lap top upstairs I must run a hard wire up the stairs ??? how do I plug a hard wire into my Iphone… Read Full Review

Horrific experience, STAY AWAY!!! Virgin Media TIVO and Broad Bank I got a promotion offer sent to my address from Virgin media. I selected my package and rang and booked an appointment for Saturday the the 22nd Nov, I waited in and tracked the delivery from 9am, at 2.30pm, just as my patient was about give out, there was a status change online to say sorry we missed you at your address, pls reschedule.
