Dropped phone on Saturday and the screen popped out. It still worked but I was worried about it getting worse so on Tuesday I called to make a claim. This was easy and painless one thing to note is that you won't be offered a courtesy phone while yours is being looked at (not a problem for me but may be for others). “Beyond belief”

O2 insurance is a complete waste of money. I dropped my phone, it cracked, I phoned o2 insure up, got cut off, phoned them up again. I was told to take my phone to an o2 store. I did this, and was told I'd have a phone again by Wednesday (this was Friday). I had to pay a deposit for a replacement phone in the meantime. I heard nothing, so I rang them back on the Thursday. “Absolutely Rubbish do not use! ”

I smashed my phone 3 weeks ago (Samsung Mega) and phoned my insurance (O2) they sent me A Samsung note 1 (Completely different phone) anyway that was rubbish kept freezing so i said i wanted another one but this time the same phone i was insured for. So they sent me the Samsung mega which didn't work then today they collected it and told me i had to wait a further week while they checked it, so this is now my 4th week without a phone! On Monday morning, my phone fell out of my handbag as I was getting out of the car and screen down onto our bricked carpark. The inner screen was smashed and it would not work. I dropped my phone last week I was told I would get a new phone but when it arrived it was a used refurbished phone I was told to read the terms and conditions and it states they can send people a refurbished phone if they wish to I was not told that when I took the policy out so beware i was mislead into taking the policy out thinking i would get a new phone i will be contacting trading standards

“O2 phone insurance read the fine print”

My iphone 4 recently stopped working. I have O2 premium insurance £12.99 per month. I phoned O2 customer care, finally got through to the insurance department and after going through their questions was told that my claim was declined even though my insurance is fully paid up and I am still in contract with O2, because I am covered for theft, loss and accidental damage and not the phone packing up on its own. If you intend to take out O2 phone insurance take time to read all the small print. Been with O2 for many years have 4 phone in our household however, will be moving to another provider ASAP. What was the state of the replacement? I lost my iphone on saturday and I only had it 2 weeks. I'm now waiting on a replacement. I am told I will get a refurbished phone but one that it very new, based on the knowlegde that I only had the phone 2 weeks

I’m with O2 insure premium which is £10 a month (just over 30p a day cant complain!) and a small excess of £25 Came in very handy for my HTC one x which is a £400 phone, I accidently tripped and it got smashed up, phoned o2 the next day and within minutes they approved the claim and shipped out a new one.
