Currently going through the process of claiming insurence on my Iphone 3G, problem being i cannot get signal in majority of places. First i phoned through all the stupid customer service clowns being put on and off of hold for 25 minutes finally i was told i would have to take the phone to the store i purchased in where it would be sent for repair. Took it to the store the next day where i was told i would have to phone the 02 insurece because the phone had a tiny ammount of damage and the repair company wouldnt touch it. So back on the phone the next day where i was told i would be sent a clams for via email, this email never arrived! Next day i phoned again and was told the email could take 48 hours to come throug. 72 hours later still no email so another phone call result being they would send it again and i would recieve it on that day. Guess what still have not got the email, cant phone now because to line is closed so now i have to wait to monday where i will probably be told some more Bulls***. PATHETIC!

First time around my charger broke so i rang them and asked for a new one to be claimed on my insurance, they said the couldn't give me a charger alone so they would replace my phone unit, i was over joyed this really was good service.

My second claim resulted from my phone being dropped, and the screen no lo ...

Dropped my iPhone 2G and broke the silent toggle switch. Called O2 Mobile Phone Insurance, who ran through what happened and sent me a replacement the next day. They even sent me a 3G one so not a bad result all in all!

I broke my phone today. Having insurance i rang straight away only to find that the insurance company had closed and they could not help me untill 8am monday.
I use my phone for work and had i been told about this when taking out the policy with them, i may have reconsidered!! I think it is disgusting!!

O2 Mobile Phone Insurance is more trouble than it was worth. I was on an 18month contract with O2, and had taken out the top insurance they offered, so as far as I was concerned, I was all set. After about 11 months, my Nokia 6131 cursor keys started playing up, so I dropped into an O2 shop, to see how I went about getting it fixed. Even though they had my details on the computer, they needed to see my receipt, which of course I did not have on me. A few weeks later, I returned with my receipt, ...

When I bought my first iPhone (original), I demanded I had it insured, I wasn't aware that 269 was an unsubsidised price so 7.50 a month I guess is quite expensive, but so is buyign a brand new one...
Well 2 weeks in I dropped it and smashed the screen, I hadn't even paid my first premium or first contract payment yet! Well I'd be chuffed I got a BRAND NEW iPhone the NEXT DAY, I even got to keep my old iPhone earpphones, so I had a spare.
Now on Friday my new iPhone (3g) got stolen form my bag i ...

Upgraded to the new iPhone recently and when i was being taken through the process etc I was asked to sign the contract etc when proof reading the agreement the advisor had added an o2 insure policy at £7.99 a month onto the purchase. The bloke didn't even mutter a word about insurance through the whole process ( how bad is that ) When i questioned the insurance he said oh yeah, its the insurance we offer i presume you want it!! I said hmmm, no! I didn't have it before so why now!!! espec ...

My phone was damaged on Thurs 20th of March. I rang through to get a replacement with 02 insure. They told me they couldn't arrange delivery of the replacement until the following Wednesday.

I told them I'd be on holiday until the 31st of March, so we agreed delivery on the 1st of April.

However when I got back from holiday they had in fact tried to deliver the phone twice on the 26th and 27th of March.

When I complained they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. It's now been 15 days sinc ...

My blackberry broke 3 days ago and I cant make any calls. So, I called to report the problem and get a replacement. Was told that would be fine and it would be sent to me (a reconditioned model) within 3 days. Guy then went all jittery and back tracked saying actually it would need to be sent away to be fixed - so I'd be without a phone whilst waiting for it to be repaired. Hmmm... would have been better if I'd just run over it in the car then. Oh yeah, and I've been with O2 for 6 years and paid ...

I dropped my phone seven months ago, not realising the drop was responsible for the resultant 50% functional problems with the phone. I tried a spectrum of measures to remedy the issues, but they were no good. I dropped the phone again during the seven month period, which rendered it 100% dysfunctional for MMS & 40% dysfunctional with SMS. I spent a few months struggling by with my broken phone as I am not one to claim on insurance for no good reason. I eventually decided to make a claim, having ...

Please don't insure with 02 they are rubbish. Try and look for better deals out there even if they cost a little more.

I have been a Samsung user for a couple of years. I lost my E370 in a freak accident (it ended up at the bottom of the local canal) When I put in my claim, I was told I could only have a choice of one Motorola or two Nokia models. All my family use Samsungs, all my accessories are Samsung and my computer software is Samsung.

I'm absolutelly disgusted and will not be renewing my O2 contract in September.

At present still on going with no phone or Sim card but O2 Mobile Phone Insurance is still taking money for my contract. I will not be renewing my contract, I know that for sure. My story...

Got a k800 on o2 online 200 a little over 5 weeks ago. Unfortunately I lost the phone after only a week (silly I know but that's why you take out insurance). I contacted o2 who put me through to there insurance who took my crime reference number and said that the phone was out of stock and it would be in ...

Phones 4U messed up when I got my contract phone, and they didn't provide me with insurance like I expected. This was rectified, but when my phone broke (from just being in my pocket may I add), I filled out all the forms, waited to be paid and then sent off my phone with the £50 excess. The phone was returned 3 days later; Unrepaired without the receipt or the cheque, and they did this because it wasn't returned within 14 days. Don't they understand the concept of monthly wages? But they ...

I was told if I ever needed to use the O2 mobile phone insurance cover it would be hassle free, quick and easy. None of these are true. The people I have spoken to can not communicate with each other. Delivery details have on 2 occasions been lost. Emails were never sent as promised. call backs were not done as advised. A complaint is going through with them at moment. I am still without a handset a week on.

I recommend you buy your mobile phone insurance from an independent company. O2 offer terrible customer services.

The replacement phone cost me extra, and it was a poor refurbished one.

I also had to take the higher insurance level before I could claim, so I don't know what the silver version was for!
