Useless, My phone which was the latest touchscreen phone slipped off my bed and the screen was damaged making the phone unusable. As i work in a nightclub and therefore all night, i find it difficult to get things done during the day. Even so i went to the orange shop two days after my phone had broken, i was told to call orange, where i was put on hold for over 20 minutes before told that because i was three hours over the 48hr claim period that had not been mentioned when i bought the insurance. This is the 2nd time in 11 years that i have had a problem with my orange phone and the 2nd time that orange have failed to stick to their end of the insurance. Do not buy from orange

I feel that the insurance is only valuable if the phone you have is replace for AT LEAST the same model. This is not much to ask as it take time to choose the model phone suitable & compatible with hand free systems and day to day use. Janet

My boyfriend had his phone stolen from his jacket pocket. He had taken it off while at work on a secure building site and was about three meters away from it when it was stolen along with his wallet. The insurance claims dept made him feel like a suspect quizzing him on why it had taken two days to make the claim (it took the police two days to issue a crime ref). Then they said the claim would be discussed at a meeting and they would ring back within 24 hours, they didn't. When my boyfriend ...

Make sure you read the details in the very small print of the Orange Mobile Phone Insurance policy to avoid your claim being declined.

Not impressed with call centre staff. I hung on the landline for 40 minutes waiting for an advisor to no avail. She then seemed unable to empathise or understand that a lost phone is one you have lost! She then put the phone down on me so I was unable to ask for further advice once my claim was refused.

My son has had 2 phones stolen, one from inside a jeans pocket, in a bag in a crew room at work, therefore by a staff member. Orange refused to pay up as it was not in a secure area. (He bought another one) the second was from his lap at the recent Isle of White festival, in a private area which had security guards. Orange have once again refused to pay, claiming it should have been in his pocket. What a waste of insurance money we have paid. Still have 12 months of contract to go. Will NOT rene ...

I had to have my phone replaced twice in the first year due to different faults. Both times the Orange customer services rep took the details and arranged for the phone to be collected the next day - at an agreed time slot and at the same time replaced it with a brand new one. Best service I've every had. Courier came at time specified and the whole process was quick and easy. The second time they even came to our caravan park on holiday!

I accidentally put my phone in the washing machine as it was in my jeans pocket and as soon as I realised, it was too late and it was completely damaged so I phoned Orange Mobile Phone Insurance right away as I was rather distraught! I had lost all my numbers, pictures, everything! I then found that I am not covered for this!!! I do not understand! I was honest, I accidentally put the phone in the wash and ruined it, they could have the damaged phone back as proof but if I wanted a replacement, ...

Orange Mobile Phone Insurance has replaced my P900 a couple of times, both during contract and (under duress I admit) out of the 12 month contract. I am on a business tariff so it was included but it has never been a problem. It seems that even though I pay over £100/month to them after 12 months the insurance just disappears.

Claimed quite a few over the years and never any quibble.

I had been a loyal customer for five years and this was the first claim I ever made with my Orange Mobile Phone Insurance, and they didn't seem to get that you can have your phone nicked without noticing. When I complained they said they would send me a phone, not from insurance, but as a goodwill gesture, as if I should be really thankful!

Orange Mobile Phone Insurance is practically non-existent! They will not pay out if it is lost or stolen, if, in their view, the owner has not taken due care. If the owner had taken due care, he or she would never need to make a claim as his or her phone would never be lost or stolen!

My only claim with Orange was when I lost my phone after 10 years of being a 'careful' owner and paying insurance. If I had reported it stolen (e.g. from a coat pocket), they would have paid out. We wonder why s ...

My phone stopped getting a signal, which is a manufacturing fault, and so should have been replaced. I had insurance, and still Orange would not replace my phone.
