As someone who loses a lot of phones I've had to claim on the insurance quite a lot, and I've never once had a problem! In fact I was very surprised at all the bad reviews online! I can only complain that it sometimes takes ages to actually get through to a member of staff. I once even broke my phone, but then lost it after arranging my insurance but before taking it in to a store! Sounds suspicious but they still happily sent me a new phone (n95 8gb when it was quite new)

I have been with vodafone for over 4 years and always paid the £6.99 a month for insurance. I took my phone into my local store for repair only to be told im not covered because its a manufatcurers fault and i have had the phone longer than 18 months, whereas if i had damaged it myself they would of repaired it. It's the most ridiculous thing iv ever heard and i will not be renewing my contract with them again!!

It makes a bit of a mockery of a £10 sim only rate if unasked for 'insurance', which I gather may be about £7 a month is added!
My house and contents insurance is £22 a month and I understand covers both house and contents including any mobile phones.
I just hope it doesn't take too many calls to vodafone to avoid paying for something I have not asked for.

Have to say a really good experience from the Vodafine insurance team. Lost my Nokia N95 8GB in the morning, phoned up at 4pm and it as all sorted in 20 minutes. They don't sell the N95 8GB on contract anymore but said I could have the N96 which I was more than happy to take. The Phone arrived next morning and I was back up and running in under 24 hours.

Whilst on hold I decided to have a look around for any reviews of Vodafone handset insurance and came across this site, reading the only review didn't fill me with confidence, however after speaking to the insurance department I thought it only fair to leave me comments as the experience was painless and very professional.I made the initial call at 11:05 (and although I accidentally got cut off and had a waiting time (across all departments) of about 15 minutes the whole process was complete at ...

I cant help but notice people complaining about non flexibility of terms etc... ONE SIMPLE SOLUTION FOLKS! Read your terms and conditions before processing a claim, these can be found on Vodafones website, via a store, and i am sure Vodafone Customer Services can send them out.

If you read the terms and conditions you will know exactly what to say and what not to say.

Vodafone Insurance are regulated by the FSA, and as such can not be influenced by Customer Spend or loyalty to Vodafone. The FS ...

I was sold the Vodafone Mobile Phone Insurance policy a year ago when I sought to ensure that my Vodafone supplied Nokia 8800 Sirocco would be insured. I was not made aware that when Vodafone chose to drop the Nokia flagship phone from their range my phone would no longer be covered. I have had to accept the lesser and chavvy 8600 Luna.I am appalled that Vodafone have left me without insurance whilst still claiming a very high monthly premium. I have now cancelled the policy. The whole claim has ...

I to have suffered like the rest of you. I have tried to make two claims for two different phones over the past 3 years. The same reply both times, water damage. Is this all they can think of to get out of replacing you phone!?Compared to Orange there service is discusting! I do hope ofcom regulate this grey area of mobile phone service providers money spinning schemes.

Recently my Samsung e900 became faulty and when i tried to claim off my insurance i was told that because it was a manufacturing fault i was not covered. Voda would not do anything to help even though i only had 2 months left in my contract. I got phones 4 u to buy me out of my contract with them. I got a new sony ericsson and £100 in my bank

I've had vodafone insurance for almost 2 years now and while it is a bit pricey I have to say I've found it really useful. I'm pretty bad at loosing things and have twice now lost my phone on the train. I claimed within 2 weeks, rang up the vodafone number who barred the old phone and then gave me a reference number then transferred me to the outside company which deals with claims. In all the procedure took 20 minutes or so each time. Its true I had to pay the £25 excess but my phone arri ...

I have been a vodafone contract customer for 9 years and will certainly not be renewing at the end of my current contract.
I pay £7.95 a month insurance and have just had to make a claim, I have had the phone 12 months out of a 18 month contract.
Getting the claim sorted cost a fortune as i was passed from piller to post and when i receive the replacement phone its a NEARLY NEW phone, so I pay £7.95 a month insurance, £25 excess and don't even receive a new phone. Best is ...

I bought the Nokia N73 with Vodafone, after only having it for 5 weeks the silver face started to peel off. I took it into the Vodafone Store, and they sent it to be repaired on the warranty. I then had a call to tell me that they had found moisture damage and would repair it (the phone had never been dropped in water or anything like that) after a long argument they advised me to claim on my insurance which I did. I paid £25 and was given a new phone. 4 weeks later I have actually dropped ...

My daughter's phone suffered a cracked screen in December (about 20th) and, because I had purchased insurance against such an event, I went in to my local Vodafone shop to register a claim today. Whilst speaking to the advisor on the phone, it came to light that because I had not claimed within two weeks of the event occurring, the claim was void.

This is unacceptable - I could have lied about the date the damage was incurred, but as I was honest, I have been penalised, and feel that this ...

I bought a Samsung E800, (a £200 mobile phone) in December 2005 on an 18 month contract with insurance at £7.95 monthly. I was a loyal Vodafone customer spending £45 a month with them. I have had two replacement phones under original warranty, and now I have lost the phone. Ah I say, it's covered under insurance... Vodafone have offered me a very poor substitutes under their insurance scheme... Lower standby time, lower talk-time and heavier phone. Just because screens are now ...

1 got 3 months free with Vodafone Mobile phone insurance when I took out a new contract with a new phone and new number. I was stunned to find out that the 3 month free deal was not available to existing customers upgrading!

The insurance is almost £8 per month, when other providers offer the same level of cover for £5-6 per month, or even cheaper on annual payments. This insurance is an absolute rip off, and will only be taken by idiots not shopping around.

I haven't made a claim yet but Vodafone Insurance is so much more expensive on contract compared to O2 and other places and you can't pay for it for a whole year at once.
