fonesafe are a trading name of homecare insurance services they pay a commision to t mobile staff to sell the product tried to charge £30.00 to fix a mobile under their insurance for accidental damage (something included in the policy) and it only cost £25.00 for another company to do it so over 18 months they have had £160.00 for doing nothing so anyone wanting to sue them reply to this and leave a contact e-mail as i am planning to take them to court to answer why they are ripping off clients and link t mobile also as they are selling the product so couls also in law be made to answer the same question and settle any issues

VERY NEGATIVE REVIEW. Written by a livid customer.
Apologies, as it is 14 lines long.

This has to be the worst insurance company ever... period. They must be stopped, they are thieves. I had an 18 month contract on my phone, for which I was paying £8.99 insurance per month. On the 12 month, after paying just over £100 insurance, my phone was damaged. I went down to the T-mobile store, inquiring on how to make a claim. I was ADVISED not to make an insurance claim until after chec ...

T-Mobile Mobile Phone Insurance sold the insurance on the basis of it being "peace of mind" in the event of breakage, loss or accidental damage. This is not true. If you drop it in water you will not get a pay out. I have paid £8.99 for 14 months, so not at the beginning of the contract and Phone Safe (Fone Safe by another name) completely rejected my claim and were rude and unhelpful. Phone Safe give T-Mobile a very bad name.

I have been paying the £6.99 each month for 10 months now. When i changed job it was necessary for me to change my direct debit dates, i did this for all my outgoings and was informed by t-mobile to contact phonesafe seperately to let them know. I did this and was told that the date had been changed. This was not the case as the next month the money was taken on the wrong date and so my bank did not authorise them to take the money. I then rang phonesafe to get the date changed again a ...

I agree with all of the other comments that the T-Mobile phone insurance is a complete waste of time. I had my car broken in to and they quoted the small print that I had not taken good care of the phone. Why does one pay all of that money for insurance if they wriggle out with the small print.

This insurance was not what I was expecting. I had an upgrade through T Mobile after my 18 month contract expired and was told that they would update all the details for me. My upgrade phone has been accidentally damaged and I tried to make a claim and guess what...I'm not covered because they never received details of the upgrade. Not my fault I hassen to add but they pointed out that 'it is in the small print' that they must be notified after an upgrade. The small print they refer to was i ...

I find T-Mobile Mobile Phone Insurance very expensive at 6.99pcm £83.88 per year so cost half as much as any good phone, plus a £25 excess first claim, £50 second claim and £75 for third claim, simply if your phone needs repairing 3 times its costing you £158.88 you could by a new phone with that. Overall Lloydstsb provides the same level of cover plus many more with some accounts for £2amonth

We have tried to claim on a lost mobile phone. While we were looking for it we suspended the contract in case we found it. After 5 days we could not find it anywhere so tried to claim for the loss. Fonesafe are denying our claim because we did not claim within 48 hours of the loss. We will not be buying from T-Mobile again and we have written to the Insurance Ombudsman and will try and pursue our claim through the small claims court. T-Mobile should not recommend fonesafe.

I purchase a Business Contract from T Mobile. I was told that the insurance was the best around. As Business customer I would receive a Mobile the same or next day if I lost or had my phone stolen. My phone was lost in Prague. The T-mobile staff advised me to sort out the insurance when I got back. Upon my return I called phone safe who informed me i was not covered because losing my phone was classed as leaving my phone unattended in a public place (that's what normally happens when you lose so ...

One day I was in a rush and put my Sidekick 3 in my pocket and was running up the stairs when the phone fell out of my pocket, and I watched it hit each step as it went all the way down my staircase. The screen was out of place and part of the top chipped off. On top of that, the "enter" button didn't work anymore...i had to hit it about 10 times for it to actually go through (and all sidekick users know that the enter button is the most important button!)

so i called the insurance people to se ...

My son was mugged of his phone on Saturday and we telephoned Phonesafe on the Wednesday to report it. (Had to wait for police to visit our home, take a statement and give us a crime reference number as insurance companies request this before they can process your claim). Anyway, Phonesafe have told us that my son cannot have a replacement phone because we did not report it within 48 hrs! We did in fact report it to TMobile as soon as he was mugged so that the sods could not use his phone, Phones ...

I brought my wife a phone from T-Mobile and was 'persuaded' to take out the insurance. 10months down the line she broke the phone, but when i came to make a claim i was told that she wasn't insured for using the phone because T-Mobile registered the insurance in MY name even though the phone was in HER name!! Spoke to T-Mobile but they say it's not their fault although in my opinion it clearly is. When i ordered the phone directly from T-Mobile it was all set up in my wifes name but for some rea ...

Ok this is a long so im going to cut it down a bit to the facts

6th of January phone may have been missing but due to some of my bags not being with me i waited phoned t-mobile to block the phone so it cant be used.

16th of January bag was returned no phone called t-mobile and did what i needed to. Tired calling fonesafe out of hours.

17th of January called fonesafe again after explaining that i realise i had lost my phone when my bag was returned to me they turned round and said that the cla ...

I took out insurance with T-Mobile using Assurant. My son is 13 and I got insurance on his phone because more than likely, he'd lose it. He did. He lost it in mid October. I punished him for a few weeks just so he'd feel the pain and then I decided that I'd just get him a phone for Christmas. Well, because I didn't make a claim within 30 days, my claim was denied. I never knew anything about a 30 day restriction.

My phone broke but they refused to pay out because they apparently did not know about my upgrade despite staff at t-mobile shop saying it would all be transfered over as they send a fax. T-mobile admit they do usually send a fax but could hold no responsibility. I thought it was a total waste of money!

The phone arrived the next day, which was good. HOWEVER, the phone they provided me with was a N95 and I had lost a Nokia 8600. Obviously they were two completely different phones!!! I called Fonesafe straightaway and was informed in a 'matter of fact' way that they do not have the Nokia 8600 (Lunar) in stock and have decided to give me a 'Like for Like' replacement. I told them that I didn't want the N95 and would be willing to wait for when the phone is in stock. The advisor placed me on hold ...

Claim turned down due to the details being wrong on the contract compared with the phone I purchased from T-Mobile. Wrote to their complaints department and submitted all the documentation and still turned my claim down on the basis that the records were wrong when I thought and still do think I could prove I was in the right.
