Bad Points: Italian, and as we all know the italians invented electricity, there are a few probs , 5 doors looks ugly.
General comments: I'm a new driver on the road and I have just bougth a Fiat Stilo 1.2 16 valve. Apart from a few dodgey electrics its a good runner with a sharp 1st and 2nd gear (something all new boy drivers like) I think its quite good.

How do I begin? We have had nothing but problems since buying the Stilo due to the computer continually throwing up engine fault codes which no garage, including the Fiat Dealer, seem able to diagnose. We are continually throwing good money after bad! This engine fault code system is a huge con - yes, we can take the car to independent garages but their equipment cannot diagnose all the fault codes - we have to take the car to a Fiat Dealership who then charge £70 just to clear the fault c ...- Read Red Slug's review (249 words and 1 comment)

Having enjoyed three years of trouble free motoring with my Fiat Stilo Active Air Con 1.2 5dr, I was looking forward to p/e for a new Stilo. P/e values quoted by 2 Fiat garages I went too were absolutely ridiculous. Sums quoted were 50% of the marked price of similar models on their fore court with much higher mileage than mine. I'm afraid Fiat cars are a no-no from now on.- Read frankie's review (97 words)

Since buying the Fiat Stilo I have become more and more attached to it. I think it is a great family car - it's not a racy, pacy type of vehicle, but in terms of comfort, handling and everything else I find it to be great!- Read EddieJ's review (56 words and 1 comment)

I am very happy with the Fiat Stilo, as mentioned above, engine very good, and by dropping into 6th gear on motorway runs, the ecomony is very good.- Read leweyg's review (63 words)

Spacious, comfortable and well thought out but too many faults to recommend the Fiat Stilo Active. Problems not helped by attitude of Fiat main dealer. Took threats of legal action and solicitors letters to get the faults fixed.
Feed back on other sites says later models 1.4 upwards (Stilo Mk2) are a lot better. They need to be.- Read rubblegum's review (233 words and 1 comment)

I have owned the Fiat Stilo Active for 2 months and it has spent more time in the garage than on the road, the computer management lights come on at will, the fuel consumption is obscene, and the car is grossly under powered. Is this why they only produce the 1.4 version now?- Read mr s webb's review (66 words and 6 comments)
